Cinque Terre Seattle was the perfect choice for a team happy hour on a beautiful Seattle day! We took advantage of the weather and grabbed a table outside on the patio, which made for a great afternoon of food, drinks, and people watching. Their happy hour runs daily from 3:30-6:30pm and all day on Sundays, and the deals are GOOD. Bar menu food items are 50% off, featured glasses of red, white, or rosé are $8.50, beer pints are $6.95, and they also have specials on oysters, wine, and Champagne. A few of us ordered the featured rosé while others went with the featured red. Since we were with a group, we ordered several dishes to share, including the grilled octopus, beef carpaccio, beet salad, Margherita pizza, and the cheese and olive selection. I personally tried the Polpo Grigliato, which is grilled Mediterranean octopus served with chickpea-lemon vellutata, gigante beans, and chimichurri; the Carpaccio al Profumo di Rafano, made with Snake River Farms American wagyu beef, Parmigiano, horseradish, and arugula; and the Formaggi, a selection of cheeses and olives. Everything I tried was delicious, but that octopus was easily my favorite! It was flavorful, tender, and definitely the standout dish for me. The restaurant itself is spacious, although the patio is on the smaller side. We had a larger group, so we had to make a tight squeeze work, but we did! The patio is also a perfect spot for people watching, especially on a nice day. Our server was attentive throughout our visit and gave us great recommendations, which made the experience even better. For happy hour, the prices are wonderful, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. I can't speak to the value of a full dinner yet, but based on this experience, I'd absolutely come back and check out the dinner menu during one of my next Seattle visits. We were really excited about happy hour here, which goes till 6:30. We ordered a bunch of items and a bottle of house wine and overall had a lovely experience. The issue came at the end, when we got our bill. Two of the items were 3-4$ more than the prices listed on our menu. When I asked the server about this, she let me know that we had been given old menus with old happy hour prices by mistake- and it seemed like she thought this would be the end of it. I stated that this wasn't really cool, and at that point she said she'd speak to a manager. A manager then came over and said she couldn't refund any items, but she could offer us free dessert. She also gave me a little extra wine. I appreciate this gesture for sure, however, comping an item would've been definitely preferred, as we were already quite full from the meal and items we had planned to eat. Or, better yet, since we found out that the prices had changed in *January* and we were there in June, ensure that all the old menus are removed so customers can make informed decisions about cost when ordering their meals. read more

For all the years in the past that I worked at Amazon, I literally never walked the half a block from Day 1, and patroned this restaurant. I mean, it's a solid Italian restaurant. Prices are not cheap, but the meal itself was delicious, the food was well prepared, seasoned well. the dishes looked good in the plates, and the portions were satisfying. I had their Lasagna, which tasted like the sauce was simmering for hours, and the noodles were tender, fork ready, and felt like something that someone gave care in making. I could see into the kitchen from my seat, and saw the people there smiling, and the servers were prompt and pickup, and checking on us. It was Mother's day, so the place was packed, not sure if it's normal, but given the location, I'm happy to see people still coming into downtown. All the food was good, the bread with oil on the table was good. The speck with Burrata was good too.. honestly, there isn't much to complain. Even my kiddo's noodles and pasta was so good (this kiddo is picky) that it was being eaten off the plate too. so kudos, a good place for food. read more

We dined here one night and found the service to be good. The wait staff had worked at a prior restaurant before and moved over to this restaurant. Hubby really enjoyed his beef sauce bucatini. If anything to order, it is going to be the pasta, which was quite good. I tried the Caesar salad with anchovy dressing. It was good. My entree was the mussels and clams. There are bits of sand in some of the clams and way more mussels than clams. I've decided I should stay away from large portions of mussels, it has that flavor that I don't care for compared to clams. The last time I did a review of this spot we were onsite. Today, I used Door Dash for delivery this time around. My Dasher, Cheikh, arrived a couple minutes early from the designated delivery time. Considering this restaurant is located downtown in Amazon World Headquarters that was quite the feat! Way to go Cheikh!!! I ordered the Trota Salmonata which includes, Columbia River Steelhead Trout, white wine, capers, kalamata olives, tomatoes, placed over mashed potatoes and spinach. Even though it was takeout the presentation was decent. I also ordered the house made foccacia. I do wish the foccacia had come with the pesto dipping oil Cinque Trerre serves at the restaurant. It didn't so I created my own. Anyway, the Steelhead dinner was excellently seasoned and tasted great! This was nice considering that my previous review of this spot mentioned how disappointed I was regarding the lack of seasoning on a dish. We came here for happy hour on a weekday and we were so thrilled with everything we got! We got the frutti mare (which doesn't come with pasta), octopus, squid, and a margherita pizza (which was a sleeper on the menu - it was amazing)! The drinks were also really tasty and we loved the mocktail options too. The fauxgroni was one of my favorites. The food came out really quick and the staff was very busy but still attentive to us. This place is nice and has a lovely view and we had a nice table tucked away in the corner for my friends birthday. We had the best waitress so sweet and accommodating but also had the best recommendations. I got the Bistec and got the side salad and potatoes subbed for Alfredo pasta. The steak was perfect, rare and tender like I love, the pasta with simple with flavor, I could taste the lemon and fresh cream but it was lacking in flavor so I was a little miffed. The overall consensus was that the pasta was overcooked and chewy with fettuccini Alfredo is was alright but pasta is staple Italian food so that's why the star. Aside from that we had a lovely time and the tiramisu was to die for. It's my favorite dessert dish and I was very very satisfied with that. With a group of 6, we were able to try a good number of items including: - CALAMARETTI ALLA PIASTRA - BUCATINI AL CINGHIALE - MARGHERITA PIZZA - BISTECCA DI MANZO - POLPO MARIO What I really appreciated was that the food was very flavorful without being overly salty. Loved the fact that the calamari was grilled and not fried. The bucatini was rich without being too heavy. The pizza was really much better than I was expecting with a crust that had just the right amount of chewiness. The steak is a steal at HH prices, and the octopus was also perfectly cooked and not at all rubbery. Also enjoyed a nice Monterosso cocktail with aperol and bourbon, before downing a couple of pints of Elysian Space Dust. There was primarily one server in the lounge, but she did a fantastic job of attending to all of the tables with help with dishes when they came out. We didn't want to search for street parking or pay two garages that night. The restaurant is nice, open and modern and our server was super sweet, she had a lot of tables on her hands, but managed to keep everyone fed and happy. I'd say the food is average Italian, I'm very picky when someone claims authentic Italian and I was slightly disappointed. The pasta was almost too aldente and my sauce was very gently seasoned, it could have certainly used more flavor. My husband was happier with his dish, but also lightly seasoned, butwe did like the dessert. We also loved the nice choice of non alcoholic cocktails, I love when restaurants think about that and offer some exciting options. Wow. Just WOOOOOW. We ran into this place just by chance. Before 5pm and it happens to be happy hour. 50% off most of the things on the menu and it's actually full meals. Service attitude was all good but it's not easy to get serviced (needed to wait for our server to drop by). Nice environment, looks clean and classy. Starter Squid. Liked the crispy texture. Aged pork belly: a rather memorable experience (cheese ball wrapped in aged pork belly slices). Quite flavorful. Main course. Seafood soup. Overpriced but tastes good. My husband and I have been dining with this ownership team for years -- long before their newest restaurant opened in 2017. We used to go to their original spot across the street, even before we knew each other, and the owners have always treated us with genuine warmth and consistency. Watching their newer restaurant evolve over the last eight years -- through COVID, staffing challenges, and all the ups and downs every restaurant has faced -- has been remarkable. Today, the restaurant is truly at its best. The biggest transformation has come from the chef, who moved over from their original restaurant. He is easily one of the top chefs in Seattle -- the kind of talent you can taste in every dish. The food has never been better, and it finally feels like the upscale vision they intended when they opened. Johanna, the manager, deserves special recognition. She has a way of making us feel at home without ever making a fuss -- a quick smile, a warm hello, a moment of shared humor. It's subtle, effortless hospitality, and it makes a difference. The bar team has also become the strongest it's ever been. Janaye (Jae) and Loan are outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and consistently on top of everything. We still miss Frankie, who no longer works there, but the current team is truly excellent. Cody, the bartender, is always kind and welcoming. He greets us with a smile every time. He's a great bartender, and although he sometimes seems a bit reserved, he's always courteous and professional. For the record -- we don't sit at the bar because the seats are uncomfortable, not because of him. He's wonderful at what he does. After years of being regulars, we can honestly say this restaurant is now operating at its highest level -- exceptional food, thoughtful management, and the best service team they've ever had. Had the opportunity to have New Year's Eve dinner here. We had reservations for 10 and had a nice table in the back. This was our 1st time here and the food and service were outstanding, especially for being so busy on the holiday. We love Italian restaurants so we were excited to check it out. We started off with oysters, Caesar salad, and the calamari. Everything was great but special callout on the calamari which wasn't breaded and had great flavor. For our mains we had the fettuccine with shrimp, the bucatini with boar, the lamb shank, and the special lasagna with Dungeness crab. All of the pastas are hand made to perfection. I ordered the fettuccine and thought it was delicious but my wife had the bucatini and that was definitely the best dish out of everything. Highly recommend. Restaurant was nice, modern and clean. A bit loud but it was also a holiday weekend. The only negative to our experience was that the host came to our table and asked us to leave because there was another reservation waiting. They did it in kind of a rude way and I might have been ok with it if we were told we only had a certain amount of time but we weren't. We also weren't there that long either. I enjoyed a Friday night dinner at 7pm in mid-November with a colleague who was attending a conference. This chic restaurant is about a 10-15 min walk from the convention center and is close to the Amazon spheres in the Denny Triangle neighborhood. It was a little pricey, but a memorable last supper in Seattle. First, the service is attentive when you arrive at your reservation time. I ordered a glass of wine while waiting for my colleague to finish his meeting. The interior blue light is relaxing - would recommend this place for friends or couples on a Friday night who want to celebrate the end of a work week. Second, the pasta special with lamb was delightful. My colleague enjoyed his chicken parmigiana dish a lot. The only tiny blemish was the olives and cheese appetizer which was meh (reminded me to Trader Joe's - nothing special). The octopus was the highlight but 4 small bites for $24, not that good. Mains came out too fast, pastas and chicken seemed reheated. Pizza was undercooked. The fresh house made foccacia with pesto dipping oil they serve at the start of your meal is to die for. A must go to modern Italian restaurant with great ambiance, delicious food, and fresh local ingredients. The space is large with bar, main dining, and upstairs seating. When you walk in, the host is very friendly and the same service standard continues throughout the entire time. The drinks are all perfectly crafted with bold flavors. The carpaccio a very large and flavorful. They also have fresh Taylor Shellfish Farms oysters that rotate and are prepared up front. There were many dishes to choose from and all sounded fantastic. Will be back to try more of them. They have happy hour everyday with 1/2 off lounge food and it's all day on Sundays. Chic, modern interior. High backed booths are comfy and intimate, with plenty of room to spread out and order multiple courses to share. Friendly hostess and a professional and engaging wait staff. The bathroom has calming lighting and heated seats (always a nice touch). Complimentary focccia with slightly warm, slightly spicy pesto oil dip, bread was pillowy with a great chew. The Pinot Grigio was well chilled and minerally, which complimented the grilled octopus beautifully. The octopus... simply delicious. Perfectly cooked, and accompanied with à sprinkle of broad beans, and a lightly spicy chili oil and unctuous purée of cilantro aioli. Had to sop this up with bread! The braised short rib comes with polenta and lightly sautéed baby spinach, with a few shiitake mushrooms draped on top. The plate was WARM at lunchtime - almost unheard of. Polenta had a light skin on it, likely from the heat lamp, but was tender and creamy. The sauce was piquant, reminiscent of a barbecue sauce; which was good but not my first choice. The spinach is delightfully lemony. The short rib was a good sized piece and cooked well - the perfect balance of tender and shreddable, without being dry. A meal this good, in such a beautiful setting, demands dessert! There is a great selection. I went with the lavender citrus panna cotta and a simple espresso. Wow.... This required à moment of silence; it was that good. Even the espresso is perfectly brewed (which is saying something in this town). The panna cotta had the perfect consistency, and à whisper of lavender. The raspberry coulis added just the right amount of tartness. I visited during Seattle Restaurant Week, which advertised two courses and a glass of wine for $20. The restaurant pricing reflected $35, which is a bargain for this level of quality. No complaints here. Chris, my Sherpa for this culinary experience. was an absolute delight. He brought the rating to the top tier. And to cap the meal off, Chris suggested a chamomile grappa. What a beautiful flavor profile. So smooth and warm; this is what you want to drink next to a crackling fire while it's snowing outside. I will be back...often with friends. read more

They have the best happy hour in the area. Visited this place multiple times and love their food and service. What makes this place great is the people who work here: very friendly.
