Grooming review. It was the Thursday before New Year's Eve and my dog Hachi had a grooming appointment at 5:30pm. I received 2 phone calls stating that they were able to take him earlier if I can get him in. Which is great- except I was still at work in Scottsdale and needed to get to Avondale I order to pick him up and take him to pets mart. I ended up taking him there at 5pm. I'm not sure if the staff were rushing his appointment because it was around the holidays but they ended up finishing him up in an hour- normally his appointment takes 2-3 hours. When we pick him up we could see his fur was still a little damp. The next day we noticed he kept licking his groin and stretching excessively. When we checked his belly area it was so inflamed and had lesions everywhere. We think that soap wasn't completely washed off which irritated his skin. His skin is so itchy that he's getting large amounts of bald spots. We normally have a good experience but this last time I think they just wanted to go home and the service was rushed.

I dropped in there today to purchase a frozen rat for my daughter's new snake. I looked up and down the reptile isle but I could not find anything about where to find the frozen rats. I could not find any associates around to help so after 5 minutes of looking I went in the cashier line and waited another 10 minutes because there was only one cashier at the time with 6 people waiting. I got to the line and asked Neveah if they sell medium frozen rats. She told me they don't have sizes and they sell whatever is available. I told that is fine but where are they because I could not find them anywhere in the reptile section and there are no signs posted if you have any rats. She asked me did I try looking in the freezer and I responded no because I have no idea where the freezer is because I never purchased a frozen rat at PetSmart before. I asked her if she can get me one real quick and she made a face and looked at me if I was crazy for asking that question. When I realized I was dealing with a young child that has no clue about customer service or manners I asked her if she can wait a second while I run to get one real quick. She then responded that if I make it fast because she can't wait for a long time. In my head I was thinking that is why I asked you to get it because I have no idea where they are at. I then responded well I have been waiting ten minutes for you and you can wait a few seconds while I run to the freezer real quick. Then when it was time for me to pay she was making faces like I was inconveniencing her and I asked her if something is wrong. She told me no and started smirking and acting immature. I am not sure how Neveah got the job there but obviously you guys have no standards for cashiers or customer service. This is the second time I have been to this store and the customer service is dead there. I am a 50 year old man and I don't need to be dealing with little kids who don't know how to have common courtesy when dealing with customers. You guys need to get it together or else you guys are going to go out of business like all the other stores who have horrible cutomer service. There are plenty of other stores out here in Arizona to compete with so you do what you will with this complaint. Your store will now be on my last resort list from now on.

The hair stylist Kimberly F. has been the absolute best with my dog Milo! Milo does not let any other hair stylist cut his hair expect Kimberly. She leaves his hair exactly how I ask for it without any problems. Love it.

Their grooming dept butchered my dog. Do not bring your dog here. I called them and the me has never called me back. I brought my dog in for a shave because her coat got matted (goldendoodles..it happens quick). She came back with razor burns as id they didnt oil their clippers. And now the tiny cuts are scabbed over and causing her a lot of pain. I told them this and they didn't respond.

The Pet Smart Groomers put gorgeous matching bows in her hair to match her collar!

My dog came out looking like an adorable little princess and it was as though she had a newfound sense of self-confidence! She's been prancing around happily after her grooming treatment!

They both got 1/2 blade trim all over, tail trim, ear and face cleaned and trimmed, bathed, dried, brushed.

All the times I've been here, there have been people at the registers ready to help. The grooming salon employees were friendly and helpful and when I got my two dogs groomed, they looked FANTASTIC. They both got 1/2 blade trim all over, tail trim, ear and face cleaned and trimmed, bathed, dried, brushed, and they have never looked better. My girl dog got a "hallow belly" which just means her fur all over is long and just on her underside it's trimmed shorter, almost shaved. No nicks, cuts, scraps, and nails are trimmed and don't feel rough or harsh on the skin when they jump in me.

I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

He had literally zero basic obedience skills - no sit, no stay, unmanageable on a leash, etc - when we started our four sessions with Bob. Within the first hour, Lalo was heeling at my side, walking loose leash, and sitting on his own when we stopped walking. I was amazed. Across our four sessions we added stay and recall. I took Lalo camping during our training, was able to allow him to roam off-leash in the forest and recall him from 100 yards away consistently. And this training has really calmed his anxiety and reactivity. I highly recommend Bob's training program for your dog.

Our daughter arrived at 8:17 which is proven with our Life360 and arrived to pick them up at 2:01, again proven by Life360 as well as when she left our home with both our garage door history, length of time to drive and Life360. The lady charged a full day, claiming she arrived at 8am and just didn't check them in right away and that she didn't pick them up until 2:11, which was their delay in processing the pickup process as her Life360 again showed arrived at 2:01. The nickel and dime of the company is absurd - it's not even about the difference in price but the principle of trying to push this to a full day when it was not a full day. We have been taking our dogs here and to other Camp Bow Wow's for years but the rudeness and false claims of this manager has turned us away from ever taking our dogs here again. Be better and treat your customers right. Unbelievable.

We had previously completed seven sessions with another trainer at Rob's Dogs and while that experience was fine for basic obedience, it felt like 'training' rather than the deep level behavioral correction we actually needed. Thankfully, because of the Rob's Dogs lifetime guarantee, we were connected with Joel. From the first hour, the difference was night and day. Joel immediately identified the core issues and provided professional, actionable insight on how to actually shift the dogs' behavior, rather than just running through commands. We already feel significantly more confident moving forward and have total trust in the tools and guidance Joel has given us. If you are struggling with behavioral issues that go beyond the basics, I highly recommend working with Joel. We are incredibly optimistic about the progress we'll make in our upcoming sessions.

Although the dog has been through several training programs, she had recently reverted back to being reactive on leash: barking, pulling, and lunging at any dog that barked at her or gave her a "look". Thankfully I found Rob's Dogs through a search online. Rob offers dog training either through individual sessions sold as a packet of 8 or 3, or you can elect to do a board and train method. Since my mom's dog had done two board and trains with other training facilities in Florida and Texas, I opted for the individual sessions sold as a packet of 3. Not to disparage the other training schools, I want to note that the dog had learned a great deal of commands, but she was a little rusty and selective when doing them and was selectively reactive on leash around other dogs. What we needed was a trainer that could come to my mom's neighborhood and see the dog being reactive in the environment where she was going to be walked. Thankfully Rob's Dogs offered this as an option. It cost a significant amount to do this, but it was possible. The additional cost was for the mileage and drive time to my mom's place. We had a meet and greet at the facility. Rob, the owner, met with us and got the back story on the dog and the current behavior problems. He took the dog and walked her around a bit and near other dogs, tested her response to commands and leash pressure. He explained the package options available to us. He also made us aware that we would be using both a prong collar and e-collar to reinstate her former training. We had these tools, but my mom hadn't used them with the dog since she left Florida, and I had never used them. We were assigned a trainer who was contracted by Rob. Lauryn was super friendly and had a love and full understanding of the German Shepherd breed. She herself had a German Shepherd. She went over the operation of the two collars which I was not familiar with at all. Rob's dogs sent us a link and password so that we could watch some important training videos. His website also had some very useful training tips. I highly recommend watching/reading this information carefully and then reviewing it again each week. It's easy for owners to slip into bad habits quickly which results in their dogs behaving in ways they don't want. You will have to enforce rules and get into a routine. Restrictions can be lifted once the dog consistently behaves as desired. You will find that YOU will have to do the hard work. The trainer and Rob's Dogs will assess your current situation and give you the tools and training to use those tools to reinforce good behaviors. It won't happen overnight. You will need to work with the dog for at least an hour each day to reinforce the seven commands and expectations. As I mentioned, we only had three sessions. This training was going to determine whether or not my mom could keep and handle her dog. Immediately after the first session, we started using the tools and putting restrictions in place inside the house to set the law of the land. Right away, we noticed a difference. While the dog was already really well behaved in the house, it improved her response to us when we walked her outside of the house. The prong collar made a drastic difference in her behavior when she saw other yappy dogs on the walk. I no longer had to worry about her lunging, pulling or barking incessantly in an aggressive stance. She still got up, moved forward, and barked once, but it was all very controlled. I didn't have to use all of my strength to hold her back. The real test came when my mom was able to walk her dog around other yappy dogs. After session two, my mom was easily able to do this, and I felt confident that continuing this training would allow my mom to keep her dog. Her German Shepherd is sometimes still reactive, but it is much more controlled and manageable now. In time, and with continued consistent practice, I believe my mom's dog will eventually stop the reactivity altogether. She has already shown amazing progress and only slips occasionally. If you are looking for effective dog training (well, really we know it is human training to learn how to effectively communicate with the dog), then consider Rob's Dogs. You will work hard to get your dog's behavior issues resolved, but the longterm results will allow you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet.
