They always have what I am looking for in stock and the staff is very knowledgeable about offering alternative options when needed. my dog has been going there for years. every 3 to 4 months. she's in good health but she is 16. she had larynx surgery about 5 years ago and i always tell them that she coughs and hacks a lot but she's ok. Vet said she will do that. a newer groomer panicked and now they are banning my lil dog saying PetSmart says she's too old. Im disabled and it's hard for me to groom her myself...Why wasn't she too old 3 months ago and 3 moths before that,, etc. there is nothing in PetSmart's policies that say that. The customer service in this location is frustratingly inattentive. I come to this store purely out of convenience, each time ready with the expectation that should I need assistance, I will spend at least ten minutes searching or waiting for an employee- which would be tolerable if the person who arrives to help is most often kind and knowledgeable. However, more often than not I have been met with the same exceedingly condescending, know-it-all mansplainer. This person consistently interrupts me, acts as though I know nothing about my pets (freshwater aquarium of which I have been expanding) and conspicuously rolls his buggy eyes any time I assure him I have done my research. Today, when I came in to buy more fish for my new and lager aquarium, he completely ignored me in his section going so far as to move on to another task in another part of the store. I had to ask the cashier to recruit help. When he arrived (I'd been in Thais tire 20minutes by now), he immediately began asking about my tank and how long it's been running to which I replied, "I don't have time to discuss my set up, I would just like to tell you which fish I need." (By the way, my new set tip is great- 30 gal., 2 weeks with plants and gravel from my previous healthy tank, microbiome is thriving.) This guy then threatened to not let me make a purchase unless I shared the details of my home and aquatic environment with him. I walked out. I understand being cautious of selling animals to careless people, however, there is no written protocol or expectation of such anywhere in the fish section (I wanted a couple Cory cats) and this man's push-back was a direct reaction to my unwillingness to engage him- not because he was worried about any fish's wellbeing. (A point further supported by the multitudes of dead fish I counted among the tanks as I waited for assistance.) Poor customer service is one thing, but I will never accept being made to feel like an inadequate or negligent pet owner by someone historically so arrogant and judgmental. This man's conduct was a bizarre and repulsive invasion of my privacy and my boundaries. I'm sure he treats people this way regularly to which I can only recommend other patrons be prepared to defend yourself. Or, perhaps reconsider the cost of "convenience" and then shop at one of the many local aquatic shops in the area- as I will be from now on. read more

Do not go to the store and try to buy fish. The condescending employees will try to tell you what you should and shouldn't be able to have and are very rude and impolite. I have read other reviews that support what I am saying and other people have had the same experience with these "know it all" jerks at this PetSmart. I have been raising fish for over 20 years now and some little teenybop tries to tell me what fish I should be able to take home... It's ridiculous! Do not go here to buy fish because all they will do is hurt your feelings and ruin your day over an insignificant amount of money that doesn't even matter to them in the end anyway. We have been loyal customers at this store for a couple of decades, but this store has lost us permanently as a customer after being insulted by numerous employees regarding our fish choices, I hope the CEOs at PetSmart take note of this. As well as the supervisor/manager of this young employee who made them lose a very good paying customer because of some power trip they have over controlling what fish people own. The woman who sold me fish was very rude and condescending. As if I don't have tanks at home with live fish in them. I'm always for learning new things, but when I know what I'm talking about and what I want just sell me the damn fish. It's not the first time I've run into this issue at this petsmart. Once they wouldn't sell me a goldfish and told me I needed a 50 gallon tank for a goldfish!!!! Again with the condescending tone too. Best part of it all is the fish they didn't wanna sell me because I'm just not educated enough....has been living in my tank for 2 years, almost 3 now!! And here we go again 2 weeks ago I had the same issue when trying to get another fish. So I make this review to tell the rude people at petsmart to F off:) just sell the people the fish, if it dies it dies. It's not your fish, it's not your company either. I try to support local fish shops as often as I can but sometimes I'm forced to go here and 8/10 times it's a bad experience. And the last time I left a review about this same issue years ago, pet smart said here's 10% off your next purchase and didn't even reconcile the issue! I don't want a discount I want to have a smooth process when buying fish, and it NEVER IS!!! I love the groomers here especially Haven. She gets results. When I came in with my white toy poodle Sophia, she listened and went above and beyond. My favourite cookie is purple, I even have a strand in my hair, lipstick and nails, so yes I love purple. Haven made Sophia my little purple princess. She looked perfect. Haven worked on her more than she probably should but she came out of that salon perfect. If I could, I would get her permanently this color. The purple was radiant and just popped. read more

Stopped by today, Sunday in the afternoon and the place was packed in the front as there was an event for adopting cats. Also, quite a few people in line for Banfield hospital. I just had to buy dog food and also went to see if they had any cat food for fish as I read it can be used as well. The employee who helped me was very nice (I should of gotten her name). Upon checkout I loaded my dog food to the belt to be scanned and also added a few cans of wet food. However, Debbie at the register asked for my prescription to buy the wet food. I didn't know what she was talking about and she kindly explained to me that I needed a prescription from the vet (as before I only bought the same wet food for my dog at the vet) then get it scanned into the Banfield system and get a prescription card. I had no idea and she was very patient with me as this was my first time. Great staff and things seem to be organized well where it is easy to find items. read more

Called in a week ahead of when I wanted to get my minature poodle groomed and found out our groomer had moved out of state. I was super bummed and nervous since my Boo has some anxiety issues with new people and being in a kennel. I spoke with the salon manager and she suggested using Haven. I have to say Haven is fantastic! She did a great job on Boo giving him a great summer cut and he responded well to her. She worked fast with him and was done by 815am (paid extra for the express, so Boo didn't have to sit in a kennel). Wonderful job on the cut and treating Boo with kindness and respect. We will be back for more haircuts with Haven! read more

This review is for the groomers. Do NOT come here if you care about your pet at all. This transpired after we had to reschedule day of, because they "double booked" Walked in to pick up our puppy and found him tied to the floor on a leash so short, that he couldn't even stand up, it looked completely inhuman. All the employees seemed to hate being there. One girl in particular was yelling at a dog as she was shaving them and was obviously annoyed. It was very uncomfortable and inappropriate. We paid for our puppy to get the "Bath + Brush", and they charged us extra to get his nails trimmed, which was suppose to be included. They also did NOT trim his paws, which was also suppose to be included. We aren't even sure if they bathed him, because he just smelled like wet dog afterwards. Our puppy was with these people for 3 hours, and I have no clue what we paid for. 100% will never leave my pet with these people again. read more

This review is for the groomers there. I started noticing that my dog would get (very) scared when I would take him for grooming appointments here. I looked some stuff up on the internet and Petsmart doesn't have great reviews overall either. Dogs have actually died at Petsmarts. Some people I know also mentioned to me how the same thing happened with them and their dogs and that their pup's behaviors increased dramatically once switching groomers. I have fish, an aquatic turtle, and a dog so I go to Petsmart pretty often. The staff are all friendly and helpful but today one staff member was particularly outstanding. When they didn't have the aquatic plant I was looking for, Luca actually referred me to an aquarium specialty store and even pulled it up on his phone to show me the map location. Now that is excellent customer care! Thanks to Luca at Petsmart, I got exactly the plant I wanted at the aquarium store he sent me to. April 23 2021. I would put -50 if they had it. GROOMING SALON should be called the SLAUGHTER SALON!!!! Do NOT..I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE ANY PET TO GET GROOMED. Incompetent to say the least. I left my dog for grooming. Apparently she was clawing at the kennel she was in. The groomer went to get her and saw blood on the floor and found two nails as well. They took her to Banfield hospital. We have a statement from the vet from the employee that dropped her off. She said that Dono was clawing at the kennel and when the groomer went to get her she found blood on the floor and on Dono'd paws. Then she found the nails. Contrary to what the store manager Denise stated. She said that she watched to camera recording and said that Dono was calm and not clawing at all! Then she went on to say that she thinks Dono's nail could have already been loose before she got there and somehow lost it. RIGHT!!!!...I called cooperate and stated that we have the statement that the vet gave word for word what the girl dais when she dropped her off. We want cooperate to watch the video to find out if Denise is truthful which I doubt. I am leaving this review as I read up in PETA what to do if grooming salon neglected the safety of our pet. As they stated that public awareness is a powerful tool and to keep future injuries from happening. I wish that I could post a pic of of Dono's rear as they shaved it almost raw. I knew they needed to do a close shave but that was extreme. Btw, they shave her rear and then put her back into the kennel apparently before they bathed her. This is in regards to the grooming portion. I tried to give this place a chance (2-3 times). It seems like a revolving door of groomers working here with varying levels of inexperience. Some are experienced, some are complete newbies. It was really frightening watching them get distracted and momentarily leaving my dog on an elevated grooming platform with a small leash suspended around her neck, after signing a contract that they are not liable for anything that may occur. I've seen enough spaghetti westerns to picture a worst case scenario. Sorry,, I don't think I can handle going here anymore. You're probably better off finding a trusted individual groomer and sticking with them, rather than rolling the dice here every time and hoping that disaster doesn't strike read more

Ive been having extremely good luck with online ordering and curbside pickup. My opinion of petsmart has changed a lot from having this option. Ive never had much luck in store. Prices are always marked different than im rang up and posted sale signs dont always automatically ring up. But since ive been exclusively making online and curbside pickup ive had the best service. I would not recommend these groomers to anyone. Firstly, I'd like to point out that it was stated that my dog may be groomed prior to having CCL surgery. I had scheduled at 3pm on 10/09/2022. I received a call about coming in early. I explained that he will barely put pressure down on his left hind leg but will stand on it. I was told I don't think we can bathe him. Thinking and knowing are entirely 2 different things. Secondly, what do these groomers do when it's a special needs dog with ONLY 3 legs? Like come on, get a grip on reality because your groomers that "specialized" in grooming. Therefore, you should be able to groom a dog with 3 legs or one that has a bad leg. The only reason I originally booked was because my groomer is sick. Never again, will I reach out to this place to groom my Great Pyrenees myself than to reach out to this place. read more

I was ignored the first 5 minutes of being there and then I got the new girl, I had to tell her what needed to be done according to what they provide online and she still couldn't get it right. I thought maybe it was a fluke, bad day maybe and decided to give them another shot. Brought my dog in for a bath and the works today.. again was not acknowledged by the girl standing at the desk directly in front of me...and then I got the new guy!! When I picked up my dog he did not have his harness and collar on that was forgotten in the back, his nails look horribly filed not clipped, his coat was not brushed, I don't even know what I just paid for and I'm pissed that I did!! I feel sorry that I put my pet through that and I will never bring him or shop there again!! read more

UPDATE: went to a different PetSmart the next day and, as suspected, there were no coat issues that required a shave. I'm done. Previously, I've used this location due to the ease of scheduling, even if the results have been inconsistent and somewhat meh. Today may have been a bad day but it was certainly the last straw. When I entered I was greeted by a carpet of dog hair outside of the grooming area. My groomer already had one doodle on the stand which she put it back to come check me in. She took one look at my dog, gave a cursory pat of her back and announced we'd have to shave her down. Her coat is long, but there are no Tangles including in her undercoat. That's something that we work on on a regular basis. I have the feeling the groomer just wanted to get through things as fast as possible seeing as there was already another doodle on her schedule. I guess it's time to start using a real professional. read more

I've been taking my dog to Petsmart groomer for a few years. That has come to an end. I picked him up and I was so disappointed. His entire body was so choppy and I can see every razor mark they made. The only reason I didn't take him back in to get it fixed is that he already hates the going as it is and I didn't want to put him through anymore. He ended up with razor burn on his stomach. So! I have a scottie who hates bathing. She is actually getting better at dealing this thing , yes it takes time and patient. So i really wanted her to get bathed asap because i wanna grow her skirt. I did walk in today for bathing and nail. Honestly people were nit very friendly they were half dead i would say. They did not greet and just like " yes what do you want?" Feeling. Then she came and grabbed my puppy and done! No phone call! She said i would call you but nope. I gotta go there and asked if she's done Then i asked how is she doing? And she said your dog is awful! Don't bring your dog here for grooming. My dog seemed traumatized (twice) after I brought him here for a full grooming. I saw how the groomer pull his legs while she was doing a trim. And boy, the groomer was not paying a full attention - keeps on looking at her cellphone while brushing my dog. After the service, we went to the Banfield for scheduled checkup and I wasn't surprised that the vet noticed my dog's ears were not properly cleaned/plucked, his back nails were not trimmed. And so we have to bring my dog back to the groomer. I won't be bringing my dogs for grooming at this PetSmart location. read more

Really very disappointed in the groomers here. I've been bringing my dog for months and was mostly satisfied until recently. The last three times he has gone in to get his nails done, he's been picked up with his nails still clicking on hard ground. There was one time that I took him in for a bath as well and I'm not sure they touched his nails at all. The most recent thing that has happened is my sister took her puppy in for a full grooming, and when she got him home she found that the fur on top of his head was unevenly cut, he feathering on his legs was jagged and uneven, and he had a small cut by his privates. This Petsmart is pretty much like every other Petsmart ever - a big store with a big selection of stuff for dogs and cats, and a small but extant selection of stuff for almost any other pet. Need a bed for your ferret? No problem, it's even shelved right next to various cleaning solutions designed to de-stink things your ferret got offended by. Though i didn't really interact with any employees, i listened in as one showed a couple all the things they were going to need to take care of the cat they were adopting. The employee knew what she was talking about, and explained why they would or wouldn't need various things, but even better, she didn't try to sell them useless things, or up-sell them to more expensive versions. It was nice to hear, and if i had a friend getting a new pet and couldn't walk them through the process myself, i might send them to this Petsmart. read more

This is my neighborhood pet store. Recently decided to get a fish tank... Little 10 gallon tank, a few fish, done. Or so I thought. I was addicted. A few months later, I returned to get a slightly larger tank, and walked out with a 60 gallon behemoth that was on sale. Since then, I've been in this PetSmart at least once a week. The fish people actually recognize me now. I won't go anywhere else. I've tried the other big-name pet store in the area, but have never received the service I get from PetSmart. The employees who specialize in the fish department have always been knowledgeable, they'll test your water for free, and don't try to sell you something you don't need. They genuinely seem to care about the animals they're selling. Of course, they have a large selection of other pets and supplies, and there's even a vet hospital in the store. Its a one-stop shopping experience for your furry or scaly friends. read more

The grooming here is sub par. They will say my pet is done and when i arrive, they have not done many of the things asked or that are included in the package. So i have to remind them that this is included in what i have "Paid" for. Then they act like i am telling them something new. Its in the package. Just make it happen. I should have read the reviews prior to bringing my Westie in for grooming. He was "scalped". Hair is barely 1/4 inch long all over. I understand that he is young and the undercoat not fully developed so no Westie trim with a skirt is possible but he looks like a skinny fox terrier. Never again!! read more
