I've brought my poodle terrier mix there several times for grooming. They are usually very nice. It's been 3 times that I've taken him and he's gotten a skin infection. I always like the way he looks and smells after so I decided to give them one more shot and asked them to make sure they clean their tools before working on my dog bc he got an infection last time. This time was the worst. He contracted ringworm. My dog isn't around other dogs and lives inside. There is not other place he would have contracted it. It not only cost me in vet bills BUT he spread it to me and my dad. So we need treatment also. I will not be going back. read more

When you walk inside, it seems like a typical Petsmart, however, the pet hotel and romping rooms are upstairs! I went up there and was disappointed that I couldn't see the big dogs play from up there. You could only see the small dogs play in the other room, but it was empty then! So, I went back downstairs. My son's girlfriend is having such a hard time with Petsmart's rewards card. She had one and all of a sudden was told they updated their computer, so she signed up for a new one about 2 weeks ago. So, when she made her purchase yesterday, her new rewards card still wasn't in the system. What to do? After lots of hassle, the cashier over-rode it and gave her the discounts anyways. Absolutely terrible terrible grooming service on my dog today. They were supposed to cut an inch of hair, but instead shaved her down to the skin. Her hair was at least 4 inches long so this is extremely infuriating. I spoke to two women about what we wanted but in the end it was someone else who made my poor dog look absolutely terrible. Came here so my dog could get groomed. Now I understand why people rate so poorly. Upon letting them take my dog I let the front desk girl, Brandy, know my dog is shy and shows her big eyes cause she's nervous. She said it was no problem and as she put the leash over her neck my dog didn't want to go. She does this even at the vet, and the vet people don't complain they still attend to her. After two minutes of her talking nicely to my dog to "come" she tells me to go outside and that she'd call me if anything happens or with any updates. I go outside but I'm still in the store looking through the glass. She then asks her coworker for help, who immediately pulls on the leash and chokes my dog (who was still sitting in place). They assumed my dog was aggressive and were petting her to see if she'd give any reaction. Out of stress my dog pooped, so the girl who took over calls me back inside and tells me "she pooped, so it doesn't look like she's willing to come in". I picked up the poop as she kept pulling on the leash for my dog to go inside. I offered to pick up my dog and put her in for them but the girl said "she needs to come in willingly". I took it as they didn't want to treat my dog for whatever reason. I was patient with them but it was very obvious they didn't want to assist her. The girl then proceeds to give me "tips" on what I should do so my dog can be more open to humans as I'm taking off the damn leash that was chocking her. I ignored her completely (my dog is very well behaved and trained, obviously not to strangers, I was not about to get into it with her). Sorry customer service. Male employee with a major resting jerk face was standing right before the first isle just to let me know that they were closing in 12 minutes, the dude looked pissed that customer would walk in 12 minutes before close time - I mean, how dare I walk into a retail store while still open? There was no greeting, no hi may I help you and btw we'll be closing in 12 minutes. Had he offered to guide me, I would've been out of there in 5 minutes, i naturally walk fast, I just went in there to purchase a 28 pound bag of Blue Wilderness large breed puppy dry food and a Kong collar. This was a last minute situation because of an emergency and wouldn't be able to drive home (where my pups food is at). I'm going to give Chewy or Petco a shot for my auto delivery of my pups food. We've been taking my dog august here since he was a puppy he's stayed at the dog hotel he's gotten groomed numerous times. The staff has always been so nice and good with him. Not sure what happened, maybe new staff but they were very very rude and didn't even want to try, the first time we took him Sunday when he started to growl because he's shy at first but he's never been aggressive the workers said they couldn't take him didn't even try.. they said to try again during the week so we left made another appointment for today Tuesday 5/24 when we arrived one of the staff saw we were there she was one of the girls from Sunday too she saw we were there and she immediately went inside to which now I know she went to go tell the other groomers that we're not there Sunday about what happened. So automatically the staff was very stand off ish and didn't even come out all the way from the swinging door she took one Foot out and august started to growl he was still wagging his tail he was just being shy like he is. But she just said sorry can't take him he's being aggressive I said you didn't even try the other staff on the cashier let him smell her and he was fine she said sorry can't take him they didn't even try so obvious that the other girl from Sunday had gone to tell them and that's why they had an unhelpful attitude. My question is if your working at a groomers and don't even know how to deal with different personalities of dogs or distinguish what their "aggressive" really means.. then why are they working at a groomers. So disappointing that the place we had been taking august too since he was little will no longer be the place we continue to take him too. Currently dog sitting a 15 year old Pomeranian and decide that it was time to get him shaved. I called this PetSmart groomers since my previous groomer cut my dog! (Don't go to Anna's groomers in Norwalk btw). So I called and made an appt for noodles and explained to them on the phone exactly what I need. I also mentioned that this dog is grumpy and has a hard time getting baths because he has certain sensitive spots. I also told them that I would have someone drop him off and that I'll be picking him up. Noodles was dropped off at 12:55pm and I was called at 5:21pm saying that he was all done. Basically paid 45$ for a shower. From their understanding they thought we wanted a trim. Even for a trim it did not look much. They did take him back and made sure we were satisfied. About 1/2 hr prior to closing, my husband and I went for a supply run for our new gecko and to our surprise, ended up adopting a gecko called leopard fancy. Melissa gave us excellent customer service, above and beyond, and we loved that she genuinely cared for the adopted gecko's well being. Took our poodle in for a shampoo and cut. The groomer cut the face so close that there are sores on the dogs nose and under his eyes. It's been four days and the poor dog is still suffering. I made an appointment for my dog to get bathed and brushed on a Sunday morning, (usually my only day off with availability). Sunday morning appointment comes around and we get there and they tell me that they can't take him cause he needs a mandatory full shave. I love coming to this PetSmart to get the best food and treats for my baby boy. He deserves only the best! Everything is clean and organized and all of the employees are friendly. I come often and the employees remember my dog by his name and greets him. Another plus is that petsmart is always having sales and coupons ~ make sure you sign up for their pet perks rewards program Today, I tried their grooming salon for the first time, which led me to write this review. My King's stylist was Brittany and she was very efficient and fast. I had a 1:30 appointment, got there at 1:10 with my vaccination records, and spoke to her for a few minutes on what services I wanted. And 50 minutes later, she calls to tell me that my pup is ready to go. I like that I received a pawgress report on the services that was done and some notes on the visit there. I'm not one to ever rate one star on here, but to save your time and money, the times I've had gone to petsmart for a grooming service, it is always an excuse as why they can't either service my dog or finish her. I've called in advance of my dogs appointment to inform that she needs extra time due to her size and she needs specialized handling and every time they tell me they'd confirmed with their team and manager everything's fine, that there would be an extra $10 fee for special handling which I'm completely fine. Today, I take my dog in,tell me she looks good. Vero (her assigned groomer) calls me mid appointment to let me know she can't finish her because my dog can't stand as they're standing for a while. Understandable as my previous times, I make sure to let them know she needs that extra time and care to get her finished. I picked up my dog, I was very nice and understanding with them, I pay before seeing my dog and the manager Angela is following us the whole time until we leave which was very uncomfortable. They bring my dog out to me and her haircut looks terrible, unfinished and choppy, she smells like wet dog, and they only gave me $10 off for not finishing which is absurd to me coming from her service not being completely finished and yet still charged for the special handling fee also told me my dog is not the best fit for them. Groomer Vero brings out my dog and she's nearly limping, as if she's hurt. I didn't cause any trouble just paid because I will not go back & ended up taking my dog a shower myself at home. Every visit here has been a pretty good one. I used to shop at the other pet store in the same shopping center but PetSmart is, by far, the better business. The lighting is better, the selection is better, the prices are better, the employees are über helpful, and I can always find whatever it is I need to find for my pitty puppies here. The last time we were here hubby bought the doggies these pig femur bones (about $4-ish). They were good sized bones and my Marley and Honi devoured the bones within a 30 minute time frame. There's a pet hotel upstairs, the different pet sections are easy to find and have easy to follow signs, and you use your phone number (you tell the PetSmart associate instead of using the pin pad) for the PetSmart savings card. My dog Gypsy Blue is enrolled in daily doggy day camp while I'm at work! He gets great service and play time! He is one happy camper. He gets to socialize with other dogs and made a best friend forever. Little Milo. The best part about doggy day camp at Petsmart is that dogs get to socialize and make best friends. Staff is super friendly and treat my dogs kindly. I love watching all the dogs running around playing in doggy day camp in the morning! All the dogs look like they are having so much fun! Went in today and saw that there was a sale on Halloween Toys -- Buy 2 get 1 Free. I grabbed three orange and black items in the Halloween section and went straight to the register. The cashier said that the sale was only for the Halloween items by Thrills & Chills, Martha Stewart, and Kong. I explained that there was a a sign stating ALL Halloween Toys. At this point, a long line started forming behind me so I canceled my order and went to check myself. I found the sign and showed it to the cashier. She gave me a confused look and said "That's weird". My issue today with Petsmart is not the fact that I was unable to receive a free toy. It's because they have a rookie at the register that didn't request for a price check or back up to open up another register. She had me stand there and explain the store's special to her. We went to the store and looked for an urgent medicine for my dog. One sales associate didn't find it and we were about to go to another store. I noticed one employee who was helping other customers seems very knowledgeable. We waited for him and it was really worth it. He immediately recognized my dog from doggie day camp. He took us right to the medicine which we were looking and also recommended the liquid bandage. Their grooming salon and groomers is the worst place to take your dog. They were acting like I don't know how to take care of my dog. My dog is 13 years old. I know my dog. My dog alllwayssssss poops diarrhea when he gets to the groomer. I even carry paper and bags with me because I know.He always poops out of the salon.Today he pooped inside of the salon and the girls didn't want to take my dog. ( when I arrived did we're talking to each other who was going to take my dog they didn't want to take it in the begging, they were just trying to get an excuse to not take my dog) He is not sick I know, I'm the owner, he poops normal at home. But unfortunately when get stress out he poops diarrhea. Then she said that if my dog poops diarrhea when he is with them they will take him to the vet without my authorization. If a dog is having issues they have to call the owner and ask him what vet they use and if is ok to take him, what if they take him and the owner doesn't have the money to pay. That I was signing that , Im not stupid they didn't want to take my dog because they want to go home early to watch the Super Bowl. The manager even told me to take it other appointment other day. Well today is the day I can come, I work every day.. Sunday is when I can bring my dog to the grooming salon. Where I had paid more than $100.00 for services. If you are not available to work on a Sunday don't take work. If you are angry because you are working on Sunday don't come to work. Unfortunately for me my regular grooming lost his business due to a fire I miss that grooming salon so much. They won't judge me because my dog is stress out, they would care for him and make him feel home, I can imagine what the do the dog there( PetSmart grooming)because mine was extremely stress out.
