Friendly staff overall, however the Nutro food lady that roams the dog food aisle is obnoxious and rude. She is pretty intrusive and made my shopping experience very unpleasant to the point that I do t want to return there I shop because I dread running in to her and have her bothering me. This store is not a pleasent store to shop of work for. Being a former associate of theirs, I find it very wrong that they think by coming up new promotions will make people come in there more. But they have no respect for the consumers. BE FOREWARNED, if you shop there and they push a "make a custom order with their Ipad" don't do it! They want you to so that they can force more needless sales down your throat. I do know its annoying as a shopper, you do not want to be hounded with sales pitches when your only there to shop and enjoy your experience. This company makes 80% of their own products, yet they cannot seem to reach their weekly or daily sales plan. Mainly because they have poor leadership, and no inspiring directors. Its as if people that work there ( not all of them) are only there to collect a check.There are those who make it worth shopping there, because some of the associates there give more of a crap then the management does. Coming from a Customer to a former Employee then back to a customer. Petsmart itself has a great goal set in providing the best care for pets of all sizes. Some of the people in this store are a credit to that store. Then there is a good amount of people there that should not be working there at all. The management in this store is questionable.Something the corporate office does not take seriously in the least. Not only this store but all petsmart stores really need to decide, what is it they are in this job for, money or making sure pets get what they need . I have had the worst experience with the "manager" of the grooming department. My dog has been going there for 3 years and one of there employees hurt my dog's paw and doesn't like to have his nails trimmed because of that. They ended putting in the file he is a BAD dog. (mind you my pet has neve rhurt another animal or human before.) never bit anyone scratched nothing. He is a home dog we treat him like a baby. Even ppl who he has never been around he doesn't bark or growl or anything. Now because one of the employees messed up they want to label him. So everytime I call to schedule an appointment you can hear them oh well he is a bad dog who wants him!!! wth. Today I get a call from the manager and he was rude and telling me if I don't like there service find somewhere else to go... wait a minute you guys schedule me then call me to cancel and you don't have the information correct yourself! he said do what you want to or go somewhere else. I asked for corporate phone number his response was look it up I don't know it. I asked for his manager he said his name Bill you can call him later he aint here. Im so upset more of the customer service that I received more than anything. I pay good money to there but they wont see a dime from me again. I did call corporate and he is right I will find somewhere else to have him groomed. if you treat me like that and I have been a faithful customer yeah no I don't want you taking care of my dog. read more

I've been taking doggy for her hair cuts for almost 2 yrs and have never felt like my dog was not being well taken care of. I've had different groomers attend to my Jazmin until I found a very nice girl who just loves on my baby. Is always so friendly to her and me. Today she had her appointment for a full service which she did a wonderful on. When we went to pick her up the groomer had already left, which is not unusual because it was probably her lunch break. Well when I got Jazmin everything look good. I just thought her chin hair was just a bit too long for my taste. I have been told by them that if there's something I don't like to address it then and there and not wait for another day to tell them. I went back in and very kindly asked if any of them could just take 5 seconds to pass their clippers under her chin. It didn't have to be perfect and it didn't have to be that very second. I was willing to wait until one of them could attend to her because our groomer had left. There were two young girls one with a dog and one on the phone that looked over at an older woman like who's gonna do it. I guess that bitch was having a day because she very rudely grabbed my 8 pound dog and put her on the first table and then turns around and says she just won't stay still. Well she's a dog lady. They're not all gonna be calm. If that bothers you then ur in the wrong profession. That's not the bad part though. She very rudely told us to wait outside so my dog could calm down. I observed her grab my dogs head very roughly to hold her down. I went inside immediately to tell her to forget it and I guess she didn't realize I was coming in and told the other groomer "get this monster out of here" or something like that. Then hands her to me and just say "HERE!" It took every once of strength not to punch her in the face. I have the sweetest dog and yeah she's hyper and was happy to see me after a 5 hour appointment. She was hungry and very thirsty of course she didn't want to be there any more. I will never step foot at that groomers ever again. I have a very bad feeling that they are not nice to the dogs that are either hyper or just scared to be there so they move around a lot .if you can't handle that kind of job maybe you need a career change. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE!!!!! Sorry to the good groomers who's fault it's not. I will definitely be looking for a new salon. read more

I took my little Tobi on 3-24-16, and explained that he produced a lot of wax, and had a skin condition. I was happy with the cut, except for a few lengthy pieces of hair on his abdomen, but when I picked up my dog, the earwax smell was very obvious. The tech who groomed Tobi asked if I wanted her to add some cologne, though she didn't think it was a good idea because he has "a lot of allergies" to different things. She indicated she gave Tobi a bath with a hypo-allergenic shampoo, but his allergies left his skin very flaky (which was obvious). When I checked Tobi's ears I noticed one was very dirty and the other was okay. I don't know much about what a professional groomer should do for any animal brought to them, but I assume that if you hand over a dog to an owner and it's still stinky, you must not have done your job right; especially when I told them that Tobi's ears produced a lot of wax! I hear they work on commission, so the urgency to get dogs groomed as quickly as possible, is very important. I might try Wag Your Tail next time, or I will ask for Dakota, but she must no longer be with PetSmart, because she was so good the first time I brought Tobi to PetSmart. read more

My only complaint was in the grooming salon. Had a gift card to get my dog's nails trimmed and being a senior, whoops!! forgot her rabie proof!! The head groomer turned me down upon site and was very rude to me. I do understand this is a must, but as you say, am human and did not deserve her treatment and a customer should not be treated as such. I continued being nice to her [WHY?] as I noticed her being mean to a poor dog waiting to finish. My next thought is would I want my dog here?? So sorry I did not speak up to her, always trying to treat others nice. She was definitely mean and her young assistants seemed to show fear of her. Made a small purchase, [outside staff seemed very nice], but will never go back there. I went to PETCO today, told them my story and they gave me $2 off on my purchase of doggie nail trim for coming back there. Wanted to call the manager at the store, but am too nice. the WORST service I have ever received. I brought my dog in to get his nails trimmed. First of all, my dog never bleeds or cries during this process, but when they took him and cut his nails, blood gushed out immediately and he kept crying, when I asked what happened, the young 18 year old girl said to not worry because she will clean the blood off of him...really?! He was shaking with fear and they just tied his neck tighter so that he would not move, to the point he was nearly choking. I paid for the "Pawdicure" package which includes, and I quote "nail trim, nail grind, ear cleaning, hair removal, light feet trimming and pad shaving, scented cologne enhanced with vitamins, and the choice of a bandana or bow" Let me tell you how glad I was that I waited and watched, instead of leaving him there and picking him up when they finished. because I will NEVER return for this service... The lady cut his nails to the point where he was in a lot of pain and bleeding, and gave him back to me and said she was done... when I asked her about the rest of things included in the package that i paid for, she said that pet parents usually don't ask for it so that she didn't do it.. and the rest of the grooming staff backed her up on that.. Like really? If that's what I pay for, you won't do? So upon request, they took him back to clean his ears (part of the package)... by taking a paper towel and slightly wiping the outside of his ears once, as if I could not do that by myself. After that, she returned my dog again. What about the hair removal? What about everything else in the package that I paid for? They couldn't even do a simple task of cutting my dogs nails properly. My dog was in so much unnecessary pain after his visit here. This place is extremely unprofessional and not only a huge waste of money, but very unnecessary pain for your pet. I feel horrible that my dog had to go through that, and if Google would let me give this place 0 stars, then I most definitely would. BTW, took the lady about 2 minutes before I got my dog back with this package that should take about 30 minutes... absolutely ridiculous and the biggest waste of time. would DEFINITELY not recommend, and I am definitely not returning for any services here. If someone for whatever reason does end up going here I highly recommend that you stay for the duration of the service, to see how horribly they do this. Please please do your pet a favor and go somewhere else, I would not take this service even if it was free. I don't know how these employees still have jobs at how they took care of my dog and returned him very hurt and bleeding. Pick a different location, this one is horrible. read more

Katrina is a fantastic employee. She is very helpful and knows what she's talking about. I've have unfortunately seen a lot low staff. Also, the animals are in poor care, I really only see Katrina taking care of them. I was shocked to see she wasn't a manager. Shame! My brother took our 8 month old Saint Bernard for a complete grooming. He took her in at 8am and picked her up at almost 12pm. When she came home they did not shower her, all they did was trim her hair a bit. When i took a closer look i notice that the white part of her eye were swollen and blood shot red. She is a very active dog and all day she has been asleep. They told my brother that they put her in a room alone and she got stressed out, which is why her eyes got like that. Who knows how long they had her there. Why the hell did they have her this whole time and they did not do the services my brother paid for ( yes, he was charged 70.00 for them mistreating my dog). I will never go back to them and i will make sure to let everyone know how unprofessional they are. Im disgusted with the treatment to my dog. Everytime i see her i can tell she is in pain. read more

Took my cat Salem for her shots and dr.fry was very informative! They helped with the payments and were very professional. It wasn't too bad on time. Went in at 3 and came out at 4. They did shots and also gave her a trim around her butt for free . Very welcoming and made my pet feel at home and safe. Dr.dry highly recommended! read more

I have been coming to this location for a few years now. This is our last time here. They have extremely poor customer service. The manger is condescending and did nothing to resolve my issue. I bring our 10 pound dog here to be groomed. I went online and made an appointment for 10am dropped off our dog and was told about 3 hours. We come back at 1:00 because it wouldn't be the first time we didn't get a call when he was ready. We ask if hes ready, only to be informed he has only been bathed and has been sitting in a crate for 3 hours to which the groomer said well it could be 3-4 hours. My issue is, why make an appointment if he is not being taken care of at 10am, he shouldn't have to sit in a crate for 3+ hours and no one has taken him out to use the potty. If you make an appointment then you should have higher priority then walk-ins if not then what's the point? read more

The grooming here is awful! I have 2 small yorkies and they absolutely hate it. At first I thought they just didn't like being groomed period. They would cry every time I pulled up in the parking lot. Then when I would get inside and try to pass them off to the groomers, they would both pee on themselves! They would also climb up my shoulders and try to climb down my back just to get away from them. Needless to say, I felt horrible taking them there. I did some research on other places to have my dogs groomed and found Salon Dog on fullerton and The Dog Room on Addison. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! They no longer pee on themselves when I take them to the groomer and I do not feel nearly as bad leaving them there. The owners at Salon Dog even gave them treats to make them comfortable! Also, much much cheaper!!! I was paying $60 per dog at Petsmart and it's only $30-40 at these other places for the same exact services. They also left my dogs looking much cuter than Petsmart. Not only is the grooming at Petsmart overpriced, so is everything else. Everything you find at petsmart, you can find on amazon much cheaper. read more
