For those of you with dogs that buy food at Petsmart, check the expiration dates on the food. My dogs got sick because the food I bought there was almost a year out of date. I went back to get a different bag and found that every bag of the food I buy was a year out of date. When I spoke to the manager she said "we don't have enough hours to check for expiration dates." I have been going to PetSmart for about 2 years now. I became a pet parent during the pandemic, and knew I needed a trustworthy Pet stylist for my maltipoo. I checked a few reviews, and Booked with Kalvetta. There's tons of parking. Appointments are affordable, easy to book, and Kalvetta does an amazing job at communicating if anything comes up. Kalvetta is very professional and diligent with my pup. She's extremely patient and tends to his anxiety while he is under her care. I have also referred a friend that left her original location to have her dogs serviced by Kalvetta. I give Kalvetta 5 stars If you book with Kalvetta i highly encourage getting two appointments on the calendar... she's popular and her slots fill up quickly My biggest issue is only with the store. I believe there can be a better method to cleaning up pup accidents that occur in the store or in front of the store. There's always limited assistance, so if you have a question prepare to wait. Often times the pharmacy is more attentive. The wait times in line are pretty long, as there is always only one associate checking customers out, in which pets become irritable. read more

I'll only speak for this location. I saw this coming but didn't follow my gut instinct. I drooped my dog off at an appointed time, and they took more than four hours to call me to pick her up. I had to call them to ask when she would be ready. They let me know that I could be there in 45 minutes to pick her up. When I arrived, the groomer that normally takes care of my dog apologized and stated that they were overbooked and understaffed. Now on last Friday my dog had a 12 noon appointment. I had to call them at 5 o'clock and they said that she still was not ready. So I grabbed my keys and headed up there. On the way they called and stated that they could not finish my dog because she was acting unruly and snapping at them and that they were only able to partially shave her. I call BS and truly believe because they are and have been over booking appointments and being understaffed that whoever attempted to groom my dog was most likely irritated and being rough with her. Why do I say that? Because on Monday afternoon I took to another groomer who she has never been with before and they groomed her to perfection with no complaints about her behavior or anything. It was even suggested that I give my CBD gummies to calm my dog down because she was all of a sudden such a problem. No petsmart I believe you are the problem. I recently went there to buy furry friends 2 short hair hamsters, I had a great experience getting them till about 12 days latter, one started hurting the other. i called the store back and im assuming who was the manger picked up i told him the story. he then continued to say are you sure u bought them here over and over stating we dont sell im pairs. i told him there in the same enclosure and your store let me by them together . He then trys to find my receipt off my number couldn't find it but told me to bring both back scenes the 14 days weren't up and try to bring a receipt . I proceeded to being the alive one and non alive in there. He comes out with the guy who helped us, hes trying to find the order off my app scenes nothing coming up during the 6-10 minutes he kept telling me how you should never put them together, in my head i was thinking you giys sold them to me! a group of employees statt to gather around looking atthe dead hamster almost in amazement very upsetting they passed it around. i then told him to put the alive on in a big box b/c i coudknt find one, hes like you want it back i said no i want it to be treated like a pet. If you have read my tips then you'll see that I think very little of this Petsmart. However, I needed a couple of things and I was in the area so I stopped. What a mistake. I took my order to the register and encountered a long line. The cashier was flirting with a customer for several minutes while ringing up his order. Another customer then asked if they could finish up. It was that bad and I give credit to the customer ahead of me for speaking up. Finally the cashier began to ring up the customer ahead of me at which point the cashier began to call her "Ms. Outspoken." Really? You're taking forever and now you're going to confront the customer who was factually correct in calling you out? Now you're wasting more of my time? I then engaged the cashier and let her know that she wasn't helping the situation. Her attitude then turned to me. That's fine. I deal with the dregs of society all the time. Recently they've begun inquiring about what size tank you have when you go to buy a fish. I have a 10 gallon tank, bought at petsmart, a 20 gallon tank, which is in use currently, bought at petsmart, and a 2 gallon tank bought at (you guessed it!!!) petsmart. How is a company going to sell fish tanks that they won't even sell you to put a fish in?? I went to buy a GOLDFISH today and the man asked me what size tank I had. I told him I have a 10 gallon tank. He told me a goldfish must be in a 20 gallon tank??? First of all they keep hundreds of goldfish literally swimming on top of each other in (if I were to guess) a 20 gallon tall tank on the wall. HUNDREDS. I'm looking to buy one single goldfish for a 10 gallon tank. How does that make sense? He wouldn't sell it to me!! Literally told me he won't give me the fish. Okay so leaving the fish in the store to die in that overpopulated tank is better than selling it to a 22 year old girl who is very knowledgeable on tanks. Yep makes sense. It smells like a bathroom from college and the people that run it are the most miserable disrespecting people that obviously don't care what level service you get. So we just got a dog (YAY!) and when my husband went to go pick her up she smelled like she just took a bath in pee.... So I called every Petsmart in a 25 mile radius looking for an opening to go get her groomed and this particular one had an opening. So we get there and they took her immediately and they even have a special going on for puppies.... $10 for a puppy grooming! They said she would be ready in 2 1/2 hrs so we decided to hang out and buy dog stuff. To our surprise she was ready within 1hr 1/2. And when we picked her up she smelled like a coconut dream. She looked great, smelled good, and her coat was very shiny. I'm taking her there from now on.... You can't beat $10! read more

Ah, Petsmart. You and I go way back. To say I'm an "animal lover" is an understatement of epic proportions. In addition to our home zoo, I routinely feed at least seven "outsiders" (cats), much to the chagrin of all my neighbors, I'm sure. I'm totally a crazy cat lady in the making. I've only had luck with TNR three times, but I remain steadfast and hopeful all the same. But I digress. Aside from routinely having reasonable prices on dog and cat food (as well as cat litter), my wonder dog (the beagle) is a bit of a celebrity at the grooming spot. They love her, but then again...most people tend to do. :) I've always been satisfied with their grooming skillz and she always comes home smelling sweetly and with short-but-not-too-short nails. Employees are friendly (for the most part) and fairly knowledgeable, and the constant rotation of cats available for adoption never ceases to inspire a "But mom...it would just be one more!" from my oldest. Overall, the store is usually clean and the lines *usually* move at a decent clip. Definitely one of the best "pet spots" in the area. read more

I usually buy my dog's food (Blue Buffalo - small breed) at PetCo. There's no real reason other than a) I have a PetCo rewards card and b) I'm usually buying dog food while I'm already out in the Orland area running errands. We ran out of dog food, and my poor dog was living on a diet of bananas and treats for about a day and a half. I finally had enough time to make it to this Petsmart before they closed. I was absolutely delighted to find they actually carry more than one variety of the Blue Buffalo small breed food! PetCo usually only carries the Chicken and Brown Rice flavor which my dog likes fine, but sometimes I wish I could switch it up for him. I imagine eating the same food twice a day every day for your whole life gets pretty dull. This Petsmart had Chicken and Brown Rice, Fish & Brown Rice, Lam & Brown Rice, AND a healthy weight formula for te Chicken and Brown Rice flavor! As long as they continue to carry these varieties, I'll continue buying my dog's food here. read more

They have he worst groomers here. People please don't bring your fur babies here!!! They cut the dogs nails way too short than allowed and then your dog will bleed! That is not how dog nails are cut! Our dog is over 17 years old, but still acts like a puppy even though he can no longer walk. One of his favorite activities is to go to this store to see people and animals. Usually husband carries Sarge (big dog!) And then puts him down on ground. Today, Manager Kayla Scoggins saw Sarge, immediately got a flat bed cart for Sarge to ride on around the store! I am MAD right now. After waiting for 3 hours, my cat was ready to go home from his cat bath. He's typically a very quiet cat and he was wailing the whole ride home (20 minutes). We get home and I open his carrier, he's soaking wet!!! My poor cat is still crying and I can't figure out why. I check over him, check his paws and see that some of his nails are literally cut down the middle vertically through the live dermis! Who does that? Drove out here because they said they had drops that could help my dog's earache until our vet appointment tomorrow. They didn't. They tried to give me ear mite drops. They then told me their animal hospital could give me something, of course it had closed an hour before I even called. This store is up and down. I love being able to bring my dog into the store! The thing I don't like is that they are EXPENSIVE. Unless you find things on sale, they want $15 for a harness for a 4 pound Chihuahua! The vet is convienient but you give up HUGE amounts of money to them too. I've taken my dog here twice. The first was the Furminator (around $40-$50) because she was shedding a lot- I noticed a great decrease in shedding afterward. The second I got a normal bath (around $30) it didn't have much affect on the shedding. She smelled good though! They're good with her and they courtesy call in 2 days later to check in; kind of cute. :) I like the service here, I'll keep going. read more

We have been traveling back and forth to this PetSmart for Royal Canin Puppy and are promised and promised that they would have it in "next time," but of course, it's not ever in. We talked to the Manager Mike and he promised us that he would have it in this Friday (April 1st) for us. Of course, it was just an April Fool's joke with him, as it is not in -- and neither is he. He promised to call my husband, and of course, he did not do that either. HQs of PetSmart really needs to clean up this store and it is terrible at best under Mike's poor management. The grooming department here is completely ridiculous. The first time I took my dog here, they told me that they would be charging me extra because he was somewhat matted. I asked them when this had become policy because he's being going to Petsmart for years and never been charged extra if there was some matting and they said it's been policy for years. I was met by A LOT of attitude by a couple of groomers who got very defensive at my inquiries and could provide no paperwork saying they charge additional for matting. It also does not state anything on the form they have you sign regarding matting. If this is such a policy, I believe it would be written out by a corporation yet nothing could be provided to me. I needed to get my dog groomed so i just went through with the appointment. I was unable to pick him up and didn't want him to sit so I asked my mother to pick him up. She paid for the grooming and on the receipt there was some charge separate from the grooming charge, I assumed this was for the matting that they so called normally charge for yet it was labeled as such. Definitely was very suspect and scam-y. But I let it slide because I didn't have time in my schedule to combat it. But then I booked and appointment to give them another chance since they were the closest one to my house. My dog was not matted to I figured it would be no issues or additional charges. I got called to confirm the appointment the day before as well as a text message. So I believed I was all set. I got a call 4 hours before his scheduled appointment to tell me that there were notes on the file saying my dog was difficult to groom and that he couldn't be booked at the last appointment due to this. I asked what made him difficult to groom (because this was new to me) and they said that he was wiggly from a couple of groomers (which is also funny because he's only been to this location once) and asked if i could bring him in earlier. I stated that I could not and I booked the time slot because it aligned with my work schedule. They said they could take him at the same time the following day. I asked if he couldn't be the last time slot for one day then why would he be able to do it the following day? They stated because they had no other dogs at that time and because other dogs had been scheduled along with my dog (after his confirmed appointment) then they wouldn't be able to accommodate his appointment. The grooming at this store is just inconsistent and apparently operates however they want and charge whatever they want. I will never bring my dog to this location again. 0/10 would never recommend and I usually stand by Petsmart grooming. read more
