They have a large number of groomers on duty at this particular PetSmart salon. That makes four lots of available appointments at convenience hours I really need Saturday hours and I was able to get in exactly when I wanted to. Parking here is pretty good too. I had no problem getting a parking spot I was greeted and Luciano was shown a lot of tender love. I explained what I wanted, and they looked in his profile because I guess all the PetSmart grooming salons are connected so they were able to see the notes I don't like shampoos with fragrance and sometimes they spray doggy perfume on, and I told them please don't do that early on in his grooming life so all those notes are in there and they followed him from El Paso to Dallas they also saw the notes about how to give him his shave and then the little mohawk so it was easy. He did really well with his groomer and he looks so handsome. My groomer was Maria P and she has a good eye and a good neck for making the dogs look good. read more

had never had an issue with this store, until I witnessed their security guard/ employee who were threatening a group of children who were waiting to get picked up after school. the security guard yelled racist remarks at the kids and even threatened to kill one of them if they didn't move away from the door. to be clear, the kids were playing catch and giggling in a very PUBLIC space. I walked by them and they were considerate and minding their own business. also they were KIDS. I don't plan to return to the Haskell location as I don't support businesses with racist employees or those who choose not to acknowledge that we are living in the year 2024 and not 1950. I've taken my Yorkie Stella here for grooming twice now with Ashley K. and she has done an AMAZING job both times. I've had a hard time finding a groomer that cuts her hair evenly. Ashley cuts it smoothly and she doesn't look choppy. She does the yorkie face well too. I wash my big guy in the self wash while my little guy gets groomed. I have a Cane Corso that weighs between 180-195 depending on my treat irresponsibility. He is extremely owner-centric. He will not go willingly with anyone else.. His "unwillingness" can be VERY scary to others. That means grooming is out of the question. I think the cost of self wash stations are a bargain versus the mess made when bathing at home. It's $10 per wash no matter the size/breed. Petco at the Shops at Park Lane also charges $10. Bruno's in Oak Cliff and Angelic in Burleson charge by size. I can't recall exactly, but I think it's around $40 when we visit those places. They have 2 wash stations. I have never seen anyone except me use them. There has always been another person using another 1 of the 3 Petco wash stations. Once you pay, the staff gives you an apron, towel & brush. The tub is easier for my big guy to jump into compared to others. It's a self-service "car wash" style set up. You turn the dial to 1-2 for oatmeal shampoo 3-4 for apple scented 5-6 for conditioner and so on. There's also a rinse switch. I like the ease better than the Petco set up of bottles of watered down shampoo and conditioner. It takes a ton of watered-down product to wash a 200 lb dog. A dryer with adjustable air speed and removable concentrating attachment is right next to each tub. The only odd thing is there wasn't a trash can in the wash area. I furminate before & after every bath. I left the hair globs on a shelf since there wasn't a waste can. I have found most of the normal PetSmart fare in stock with the exception of canned dog food. I buy A LOT of a few select types. I am usually only able to purchase 1/2 of the amount I normally purchase elsewhere. The customer service has always been good. People normally remember me because of the 200 lb dog. I like to think the customer service would be just as good if that wasn't the case or I was a first time customer. read more

This PetSmart is by far the worst stocked store out of the others here in Dallas. This former Big Lots location is just not big enough to keep anything stocked up. Shelves are always bare. Whether they be dog pads, toys, food, anything really. Should just change their name to PetNone. Because they're really nothing to buy. Save yourselves & your fur babies disappointment and just go to the one on Greenville or heck if you don't want to travel far Gaston Ave. Last time I came here for dog pads, dog food & a toy. I have been taking my two dogs to PetSmart for grooming services, and overall, I have had pleasant experiences with their grooming services and customer service. However, my recent encounter left me disappointed and frustrated with their lack of consideration and willingness to find a solution after I was provided false information by their staff. A situation arose where I found out just 20 minutes before my dogs' grooming appointment that my husband had accidentally taken my car keys. Since PetSmart is only a 5-minute drive away, a friend offered to drive me, but they were 25 minutes away and couldn't get me to the appointment by 11:30. I promptly called PetSmart and spoke with Iyana. I explained the situation and asked if they would still be able to accommodate my dogs if I arrived between 11:45 -11:50, if not, I was ready to cancel and reschedule without any issue. Iyana assured me that as long as I arrived within that time window, there would be no problem. I arrived at PetSmart at 11:48 and approached the counter, where I was greeted by Ana. I informed her that I had spoken with Iyana, who was aware of the delayed arrival of my dogs. To my surprise, Ana immediately stated, "Unfortunately, you have missed the 15-minute grace period." I kindly explained that there was no mention of a grace period during my phone call and I reiterated that I spoke with Iyana in advance, who assured me that as long as I arrived by 11:50, there would be no issues. Disappointingly, Ana responded by saying, "Iyana is just a bather; I don't know why she would tell you that," and informed me that they wouldn't have time to groom my dogs. It was frustrating to hear that if I had arrived just 3 minutes earlier, they could have accommodated my dogs. It was extremely frustrating that Ana showed no interest in finding a solution despite the miscommunication from her own team. It was also apparent that she couldn't care less about the fact that I rushed around and arranged for someone to drive over 25 minutes for this appointment based on the assurance provided by HER EMPLOYEE. I am disappointed by the lack of consideration and desire to find a resolution demonstrated by the staff at PetSmart and will be taking my dogs to a different location in the future. read more

She gave my dog a great grooming experience and I was happy with the way he looked. On top of that- she was very patient and took the time to understand exactly how I wanted the haircut. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went in with my teacher grant coupons. I asked the guy to help me that I had a teacher grant. He shrugs at me and never walks even near me. I've always hated PetSmart but a friend recommended it for grooming so I decided I'd give it a shot. The groomer denied my pup because he was 4 months and 3 days old and didn't have his rabies shot. This store always seems to have what I'm looking for (and a million other things I don't need). Customer service is great and customers in the store always seem friendly. I just visited their grooming salon recently and I was very pleased with my experience. My dog is scared of the nail clippers and although he tried to wiggle off the grooming table, another groomer was able to hold him and kept him calm. Today, May 24, 2024, I went to Pet Smart at 4:45 P.M. CST. I went to buy a leash for my dog which was not with me. I asked where the lease items were located and went to that isle. When I arrived at that isle, I found a couple, older, who had two "tea cup" size dogs. The dogs were on a lease and the couple were looking at harnesses for at lease one of the dogs. One of the very small dogs had the new leash on him/her and the woman began barking orders to the man, do this, do that, and he was older and trying to respond. She became frustrated and then began hitting the dog and covering his/her (the dog's) mouth and nose. I screamed for her to stop this and she agressively told me to shut up. I ran to the front counter to tell the Pet Smart Personel to take care of an issue with this dog being abused. The never made a move to help. The person continued to use the cash register to assist customers and NEVER assisted the dog. I told the older lady I was going to call the police and she ran out of the store with the dogs. Her partner checked out of the cash register with the dog harness and they were gone. Pet Smart personel never did anything to assist the dog abuse. Do not shop there. There ansering machine says, "We do anything for animals." The only thing they do is run the cash register, I left the store and called corporate office and really got nothing there either. I will never go there again. They are not a pet store, they are a cash register. If that appeals to you, shop there. read more

I frequent this store due to location, and the cashiers are always friendly. I typically get my Yorkie groomed elsewhere but decided to try this PetSmart due to convenience. I expected him not to accept the teeth brushing (he's never been a fan), but he has NEVER had issues in being groomed... never a negative review or skiddish behavior. They called to tell me he would not let them work on his face or feet. He had a shaved body and grinch-like feet and a face that hadn't been touched. I appreciated that I wasn't charged due to the result... but I found it so strange. When we came home I tried to trim some of his facial hair myself (a norm) and now he is absolutely terrified of the scissors. The staff was kind but I wonder what happened for such a drastic behavior change in him... We won't be returning for grooming services. read more

Worst customer service ever. The cashier by the door didn't greet me as I walked in, seeing that she was serving other customers, no biggie. I get the dog food and head to the cashier and as I was approaching the counter, about 10 feet from the counter she asks me if I have a reward number. I came on the last day of the window that it said my order will be available to pickup and I used a lot of my rewards $ and had a discount on the order. When I came to the store, they had prematurely restocked my order and said there was nothing they could do about it and that I would have to call corporate to discuss getting my rewards $ back.
