Josie and her horrible grooming experience...
    Mike N.

Looking for convenience and we found terror. Overly dramatic? Just look at the pics of our poor Josie. We brought Josie for a puppy grooming, nails etc. Aside from the nails being longer on some paws than the other paws (they still had room to shorten), they buzz cut my puppies forehead. She is a Cavalier Poodle and her hair, even when trimmed is long. However, my complaint is the buz cut way to short to makes sense. Topped with the fact that when I called back to find out from the lead groomer/manager what happened. I expected an oops, or Josies made an unexpected move. No I was pleasantly fed "that's how we do it". So it was on purpose. So be weary of this PetSmart and their trimming skill set. Buyer beware...

Look at this bald spot where she should have 2-3" of fur!!! I'm sure it was painful as well.

AVOID this place like the plague! My dogs were COMPLETELY shaved down and sheared to the skin on their chests. They are fluffy Springer Spaniels who now look as short as a German Pointer. And the staff DOES NOT CARE! I would give them zero stars if I could.

Riley expertly groomed by Jenn W! I will go to no one else!

I specifically go to Jenn W. She groomed our Lab since a puppy and for 13 years before he passed away. She still grooms our very anxious, finicky 8 pound Shih Tzu Riley, and has been doing so for the past 8 years. She is always very patient, caring, and kind. Everyone that I recommend Jenn to absolutely loves her! I pay an extra fee to have Riley completed first thing in the morning, straight through so she's done in about 45 minutes to an hour. I have seen complaints about additional fees but some are per the company charging and not created by the groomers. I pay for the express, full bath, and to have the nails trimmed/rounded for about $112. If you want a good, quality cut...everything costs and Jenn is worth it. I highly recommend her!

There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

I have been going here for over 6 years - I found the post I originally made about this place…read more WELL. 5 stars no longer applies. I moved away to NY for 6 months and when I came back I went straight to the same groomers my Pup had been to since he was a puppy. I called to make my usual appointment and was asked To resubmit veterinary information again in a rude manner. Then when I arrived I was greeted by a new face at the desk. A man who said he was hired to do everything the right way unlike "before". Yet when I Asked if they were under new Ownership the man said, "NO" Here are my following reasons for their 1 Star- 1. New ownership Yet the man at front desk outright told Me ownership did not change. WHY LIE About the switch? 2. Price- increased and they even charged me. Handling fee bc they said my Dog was unmanageable, yet, the previous owners LOVED HIM. 3.customer service- new guy upfront-He was unprofessional and unpleasant. I shouldn't have left my dog especially because I felt Something was off with this man's energy. But I summed it up to maybe he was having an Off" Day. He was just rude and unkind, unlike previous owners. He would go on and on about how he was there from out of state bc his mom was unwell so I also felt bad for him, but I was also on a tight schedule. I just found this to be extremely unprofessional. Get this- I tried something new with my pup for the first time and had his tail Colored ( safely of course bc this is practically my Son). The man comments- he's not a fan of Color but to each their own. That owners who dye their dogs should do their research on how bad it is for their pets... uh really? I just ignored his unwarranted opinion but was quite upset by it. 4. going to trust myself and my pups initial reaction when picking him up. He use to love Going to the groomers and now he's terrified. 5. I paid extra for teeth cleaning which I could tell was not done and they did not trim his dewclaws which was previously always cut. At pick up, even though I was trying to get out of there as much as my dog was, the man proceeded to lecture me about taking care of my dog at home, so that he is not so matted, and that is why they had to shave him all the way at this point, I was so traumatized I just wanted to get the heck out of there, so I just paid and left as unhappy as my pup was. Oh and before I could finish paying the man asked if I was going to tip bc it is customary... really!?! I'm in the service industry I'm well aware... Never going Back - sad about the changes!

When i first started coming here, the owner was great at cutting my poodles' hair. Ever since she left, the new groomers have been not so great. HOWEVER, despite the inconsistency, they are willing to accommodate and learn to cut my poodles' hair the way I like it. I have tried going to other places in NOVA, 6 different groomers to be exact. Everywhere else is worse and they don't know how to cut a standard poodle's hair. I even went to the other Ashburn Belmont Chase Woof Gang location and they gave my dog an ear infection (very untrained groomers there)! I started coming here when my poodles were puppies and because of the owner back then, my dogs dont fear going to the groomers. I have started coming back here now with my nine year old poodles and I think I will not look for other groomers anymore.

We explicitly told the…read morestaff NOT to use clippers on our Samoyed, yet they completely ignored our instructions and shaved our dog down. For anyone who understands how damaging that is to a double-coated breed, you know how serious this is. To make things worse, they returned our dog not even properly dried and now she's developing hot spots as a result. When we tried to call and ask what happened, the owner, Felipe, took zero accountability, mocked us, and then hung up the phone. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. This place clearly does not care about your pet's health or well-being. If you have a double-coated breed, or honestly any dog you care about, stay far away from this groomer. They are reckless, disrespectful, and completely incompetent.

A Truly Divine Experience for Our Bunny!…read more We've entrusted our beloved bunny, Shubub , to Divine Bunny Boarding multiple times over the past several years, and every time we are blown away by the exceptional level of care Ms. Darby provides. She is truly the best of the best! The very first time we dropped him off, Ms. Darby could tell we were nervous -- and she went above and beyond to ease our minds. She sent us regular email updates with how he was doing, which meant the world to us. That level of thoughtfulness and compassion is just one of the many things that set her apart. Shubub gets fresh, thoughtfully prepared salads twice a day, his very own bunny castle, and plenty of loving attention. It's clear that Ms. Darby not only loves what she does but also deeply understands the unique needs of rabbits. She's even helped him get back on track with his weight -- and he's thriving because of her expert care. We can travel with complete peace of mind knowing Shubub is in such loving and experienced hands. Ms. Darby is a gem, and Divine Bunny Boarding is truly a sanctuary for bunnies. We couldn't recommend her more highly!

Brought home Dudley around a month ago. Dudley is now 8 month. Dudley and Tony seem to tolerate each other out side and on walks but can't be left alone inside as they will go at it which is initiated by Dudley most times but not always. As mentioned Tony is almost 14 and has some hearing and sight loss but certainly can get around. Presently we keep them separated by either room or put Dudley in his create ( he is totally crate trained and sleeps in it). Yesterday we had Mark from Bark Buster. For the first hour he went over with us how a dog thinks and reacts. He then proceeded to teach us some tools to help the dogs better understand who in charge. For Dudley the responds was basically instant he immediately started to responds and listen and IMO he is already 75 percent near where he needs to be. Tony still needs work but he is definitely obeying more. What Mark has achieved in one day is unbelievable and this is all done without scolding or treats. I was very concern before Mark came this wasn't resolvable. I see it will take time but certainly will be resolved . I can't say enough how awesome Mark is.
