Great visit to Petsmart! Looking for something for my puppy to chew on: long lasting, made in USA and to deter from eating my shoes. Water Buffalo Horn from Arizona. Thank you Karen Puma for the excellent customer service and for a treat for the Frenchies, Lenny and Maddie. Wish us luck with the horn for Jack. So far he's busy.

Do not go here!!! I've had several haircuts for my Pomeranian done here some good and some bad. I found a groomer that was doing a good job and stuck with her. She eventually left and I brought my dog in for an appointment with her and was informed she left and they scheduled me with a new groomer. I spoke to the new groomer and she assured me that they had notes on how to care for my dog and she was an experienced groomer with Pomeranians. I came to pick her up and they had shaved her. I was so upset because you don't shave a dog with hair like this. I complained, spoke to the manager, got comped a grooming and booked an appointment with an experienced groomer named Katie. Katie informed me that my dog was in coat shock and she would do her best to clean her up. My Pom actually looked very nice afterwards. We saw Katie again and had a fairly good haircut. I went in yesterday to have Katie groom my Pom and was informed that Katie wasn't there and I would be seeing Abi. I was very nervous and showed Abi photos of my Pom and let her know that my Pom had a hotspot on her back leg that was almost healed (just a little pink left over) but had been to the vet a week ago for vaccines, heartworm and got a clean bill of health. I leave my Pom with her and get a phone call 4 hours later from Abi that she is still working on Fiona and will call me in a 1/2 hour. I get a call and go down to pick up my Pom. Abi brings out my dog and says to me "You're not going to be happy about this, but it's not my fault." My dog had essentially been brushed bald and has thin layers of hair almost all over her body. Abi proceeds to tell me that she is required to do 30 minutes of brushing and my Pom's hair just came out. I was shocked. She starts telling me about coat shock and some other blah, blah...I couldn't believe that she continued to brush my dog with her hair falling out and then gave her a terrible cut on top of that. I stormed out and asked to speak to the manager. I got the assistant manager who told me she was already aware of what happened to my Pom. Abi had informed her that the hair loss was due to coat shock and my dog had hot spots. The assistant manager was kind, offered to have my dog reshaped by another groomer (No way you're touching my dog), seen by a staff veterinarian (again no way) and offered to refund my money. I took the refund and will be taking my dog to our vet because her skin is still pink and irritated today. She is traumatized and I feel awful for subjecting her to such a cruel day that someone pulled a good portion of her hair out. Take my advice. Pay the extra money. These people an inexperienced and do no care about your dog.

I like to come to PetSmart shopping for Latte and Butters. They have a lot of things the furry boys are wanted. I like to check out their fish and other animals in the store whenever I'm there. PetSmart seems to take care of them very well. They're ready to go to your home to become part of your family. The store is spotless even lots of dogs come with their family to the store. The items are displayed in the store very well--a good layout with all the sections easy to navigate. I can find the stuff I'm looking for very quickly. The employees at the check-out counters are happy and friendly to the customers and their furry babies. I can tell they love the animals themselves. The parking lot is safe, and very easy to get a parking space in front of the store.

Disappointing Grooming Experience at PetSmart Laguna Blvd. Elk Grove CA. I had a deeply disappointing experience at PetSmart during my Malitpoo's grooming session. Despite years of positive experiences, this visit left a bitter taste. My pup, who struggles with anxiety during grooming and takes medication before grooming, was abruptly abandoned mid-service because he resisted having his legs shaved. While I understand the challenge, the groomer's response was shockingly unprofessional. Upon my arrival, I found my dog in disarray, with unevenly trimmed fur and neglected areas. She said blade is not taking it off so he would need to be sent home and need to see somebody else to get that taken off . . The groomer did not bother to trim other areas. Did not try other measure or asked another groomer to try. Will never go back again here for grooming needs.

Was roaming around Elk Grove looking for the best place for setting up an aquarium and I think PetSmart is the best choice! They have such a wide selection of fish and aquatic plants. Plus, they have all other necessary aquarium accessories. After checking other stores, it seems they have very competitive prices! Staff is very helpful with recommendations and checking their stock for things not in display. Overall had a great experience shopping here.

This is not only a benefit to pet owners but to their pocket book as well. He could just as easily charge for introductory classes. Instead he has a great system of a group class. Explains a lot in that class. This makes it cost effective and can help you determine if you and your pet are ready to commit. We have since taken a private lesson. The wealth of knowledge he has is impressive. He met us at a dog park and gave us plenty of things to work on. Remember he is a real trainer. That means he is training YOU to work with your pet. Not your pet to work with him. Our dog couldn't walk in a dog park without going crazy. Being a bit of an alpha and posturing. Now, he has been a great pup at the parks. I highly, Highly recommend seeing Jaimie. He has followed up with us since our session. He has really helped give us the confidence to read our pup.

I often approach google reviews with a healthy dose of skepticism, but after researching Jaimie's…read moreapproach to training, and gaining a cursory understanding of his training philosophy, I knew I had found the trainer I was looking for, and took a leap of faith. All I can say is: wow! My dog has never been happier and more well-behaved. Ironically, his approach, really, is about training you, the owner, to cultivate the behavior you want to see in your dog. He trains owners to address the root cause of behaviors, which leads to broad, systemic changes through energy-management and LOTS of positive reinforcement. Before finding Jaimie, I was worried I'd have to give my dog up to a sanctuary if I ever lived with another person who owned a dog because my dog's behavior was out of control. I no longer have that fear after training with Jaimie. He is truly a master of his craft, and I have full confidence his training techniques can work on any dog after seeing my dog's behavior transform. I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu that I adopted from the pound at 5 years old. She was constantly getting into trouble: jumping on furniture, marking in the house, pulling trash from trash cans, aggressive with kids and other dogs. I believed the folk wisdom that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," and Jaimie shattered that myth within the first training session. Jaimie's approach is really quite simple, if you think about it: if you manage your dog's energy, and you set boundaries for your dog, you can create a completely new routine that your dog will adopt through your consistent, clear communication and praising good behavior. Over time, through consistency, you fall into a new routine, one where your dog listens and understands the expectations you've set, and it feels natural. Since beginning training, my Shih Tzu has stopped marking inside the house and outside during walks, stopped begging for food and stealing food from the toddler in my house, pulling trash from the trash cans, stopped barking at every little noise in the house, listens to my commands while walking on a leash, and no longer jumps on furniture. Additionally, she is generally happier, and more affectionate with every human she meets. Next, I'm planning to work with Jaimie on addressing my dog's anxiety with other dogs. All of the work the work you put into training really pays off, and I have full confidence that his techniques and attention to detail will help me guide my dog finally begin to trust other dogs. Trust the process, be patient with yourself and with your dog, remain consistent, and cultivate the behavior you want to see.

He had become aggressive toward one of our other dogs, which was creating a great deal of stress and tension in our household. In addition, he was not consistently responding to basic commands, making the situation even more challenging to manage safely. Bill took the time to understand exactly what was happening and provided us with clear, practical guidance on how to address our dog's behavior. Through his training, our dog became much more responsive to commands, calmer in the home, and easier to manage around our other dogs. We saw a noticeable improvement not only in his obedience, but also in his overall behavior and temperament. After the two week board-and-train program was complete, we also continued with weekly sessions for additional training and support. Those follow-up sessions were incredibly valuable in reinforcing what our dog had learned, answering our questions, and helping us stay consistent at home. That ongoing guidance made a meaningful difference in maintaining his progress and continuing to build better behavior over time. What stood out to us just as much was how passionate and knowledgeable Bill is about training. It is clear that he genuinely cares about helping both dogs and their owners succeed, and he brings a great deal of experience and understanding to the process.
