First of all, they didn't get angry or impatient when my doggy peed and pooped on the floor. KIM, who did both of my dogs, did an excellent job. My little short dog who collects things on his tummy when he goes out for a walk, was perfectly shaved when I picked him up. I like that the prices are reasonable. They have a lot of add-ons, which makes sense to me because I like to take my dog frequently so they're not stinky but they don't always need their nails trimmed or special shampoo. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE - GROOMERS ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL I brought my 3-year-old Rottweiler to this PetSmart for grooming, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. When I arrived, there was a man in front of me scheduling a walk-in appointment, so my dog and I waited patiently. After about five minutes, the staff checked me in. However, instead of honoring the regular wash I had scheduled, they informed me they'd only provide a "quick wash." When I questioned this, the groomer dismissively said, "Just for today so I get them all done." If you're too busy, don't overbook appointments. That's just bad business. She then asked me to wait in my car, and when I said I lived nearby and preferred to drop my dog off (as I always do for the 2-3-hour service), she acted offended, asking rudely, "Well, how far do you live?" Her tone was dismissive and unprofessional throughout the conversation. Another staff member chimed in with attitude, saying, "Make sure we're not blocked, because we tried calling you and no one answered." I had, in fact, answered their earlier call at 11:44 asking if I could in at 12:30 instead and I informed them I wanted to keep my scheduled 2:30 appointment because I had a busy day. About 30 minutes after I left, they called me again, saying they couldn't groom my dog. The excuse? He "gave them trouble" during a nail trim, and even the manager couldn't handle him. I explained that my dog has never had issues at any other PetSmart groomer. He does have some anxiety, but other locations have always commented on how sweet he is and handled him just fine. I immediately went back to pick him up. When I arrived, the same groomer handed him back to me with a bad attitude, clearly annoyed. This location is a disaster. Words cannot explain how deeply disappointed I am in the haircut I received for my dog. When my son dropped him off I was told he was matted but for an extra $40 they could comb him out. I brushed and combed him the day before but let it go because maybe I missed some areas. When my son picked him up his face was shaved down and I was not told this needed to be done and some areas in his back. We made an appointment to get my dog a bath and a haircut. we checked her in ahead of the appointment and we took her to this place a head of her appointment's time and as soon as we walked in, the staff were very rude, and a groomer want to sell me more products which I wasn't interested in, and it was very hot outside with temperature was around 106 degrees. My dog usually gets slightly excited when she sees new faces and it usually takes couple minutes to calm her down so when we walked in, she was little excited and she was breathing little fast from the heat outside and she was not aggressive at all and she didn't attack anybody ,even she wasn't barking at all and I tried to explain to the groomer but she refused and she kept saying she is nervous and she asked me to take her outside ( temperature 106 ) and walk her around the block for 15 minutes then if she gets calm to bring back while I was petting her ,she got very calm but the groomer insisted to take her outside to the deadly heat then another groomer was working from far and she was yelling and saying " who is making this noise", '' we can't accept her like that" None of them tried to comfort her down, not even for one second, they looked at us and her with disgusting faces. We have been in many PetSmart stores before and they know how to comfort the pet very well and it usually take less than a minute to calm her down. I have taken my babies here since 2004. Kady is my groomer and she is pure awesomeness! She treats my dog like they're her babies. As my oldest dog has gotten more difficult to groom, she handles him with love and patience. She has worked me in when I really needed them groomed on short notice. The entire staff at this location has always been great. I would recommend this location for grooming. I also had a very positive experience with a training class when my youngest was a puppy. read more

Customer service doesn't exist at this location for shopping either. I've giving them too many chances but have been disappointed nearly every time. I've only been a few times to get my dogs toe nails trimmed. What is advertised as an easy, quick walk-in anytime; has been nothing but a hassle. The groomers seem put out that you are there and they need to work. Like I am creating extra work for them. Today, they wouldn't trim my dogs nails because her rabies was expired. So they sent me away. They would not call my vet. My dogs is up-to-date on everything. They seems put out and bothered. Getting my dog in the car and into the store is no easy task and to leave without any assistance was beyond frustrating. Never again will I put myself through this stress again. Meh. That's how I feel about this PetSmart location. I live really close so I overlook some easily avoided issues that arise at this store. Why is the line always so long? The cashier is really nice but she really talks too much when the line is a good five people deep. Sure, if there is one person in line talk away but not when people are ready to checkout. Another issue I had was with grooming. I dropped off my precious Teddy for his first professional grooming experience and wasn't 100% pleased with the result. I asked for them to just tidy up his coat (aka trim it) and when I came back my baby went from being a long haired chihuahua with cute black streaks of hair throughout his coat to a blonde looking pup with remnants of black hair. It also looks like he was nicked during the grooming process. Poor baby. He was extremely sad when I brought him home and cried the whole way home. While the groomers were nice, I wish they had really listened when I stated that I wanted Teddy to just get a trim and not a buzz cut. read more

I came here the day my house was broken into and my poor puppy had peed himself. I needed to have him bathed while we dealt with replacing our front door and the insurance. I walk into the joint and the lady working the counter was less than enthused, didn't give a rats, and was unhelpful to say the least. This was around 4 PM and she told me that she had no availability to squeeze him in before closing time. I call LIAR! This is our go-to location for dog grooming. The groomers are knowledgeable, and work well with scared animals like our little Korgi. You do have to get in early on the weekend to get a spot though, as they fill up quickly. Pet products, including food, I find to be reasonably priced. Sure, you might get Science Diet at Sam's Club cheaper, but they carry it only intermittently. I also use Petsmart for our cricket supply (for my son's little scaled friends) and I find their specimens to be healthier and larger than Petco. All in all, if I have a choice this is where I go for pet needs. read more

We took my dogs in for their regular grooming and came back to pick them up, and one of them had cuts all over one of her legs! How does that even happen with one pair of scissors is my question. We're very displeased with our grooming service for our non-aggressive dog. Upon arriving for our scheduled grooming appointment, we informed the staff that our dog was on anxiety medication for her nail trimming. We also confirmed that we did not want any kind of hair trimming and were assured it woukd not be done. Not only was Amber rude about our dog being on anxiety medication and tried to tell us we should put our dog on CBD oil instead, but we were also told that if our dog gave her any trouble at all with her nails she wouldn't trim them. We have NEVER had any trouble with any other Petsmart. We always give her the medication prescribed by her vet prior to her appointment and the salon is able to cut her nails. The reason she is on anxiety pills for nail trimming is because she poops everywhere not because she's "bitey." When we picked our dog up, we noticed right away that our wishes regarding no hair trimming were not respected. Our dog is not a breed that you trim. The salon trimmed her neck unevenly, her tail, her butt, her back, her chest, and her stomach where she was previously spayed. Now she has a bald spot. Again, this is an issue we've never experinced with Petsmart before. We never have her fur trimmed. Overall, it just felt like some of the staff did not want to be there and we were inconveniencing them. read more

My family and I take our pets here to get groomed and they are ALWAYS friendly & nice and welcoming to our pets. As long we've been taking them and been there on busy days the staff knows how to take care of every pet and customer. Katy is one of THE BEST groomers! Today makes the second time in a row I have called to schedule and appointment only to get there and tEll me I don't have one. One employee even told me maybe I called PetCo. I've never stepped foot in a petco. Not to mention when I called this morniing they asked if my dog's rabies shot had been updated and I told them yes. When I got there for my appointment they asked for the updated shot records and entered them, the told a groomer in the back that Maxx was there.... well I was later told it was another Maxx they were expecting who also needed his records updated apparently. They had no remorse and just offered to reschedule me. THE WORSE customer service ever. The employees are absolutely friendly! I was greeting multiple times asking if I needed assistance. I haven't had my pets groomed at Petsmart before, so I couldn't really give a review on that. Overall, their prices are a dollar or two cheaper than what I paid at Petco literally 10 minutes before! Their small bag of Science Diet Healthy Mobility is 11.99, while Petco's is 13.99. Their medium size bag is 31.99, while Petco's is 32.99. The only reason I went to Petco in the first place is because I had a $5 off coupon so I ended up saving anyways. The lady did, however, notice that my dog (who I had with me) was anxious whenever she tried to come up close. She gave me a flyer on training classes to deal with the anxiety. I went to return a sick leopard gecko that I bought a few days back and the woman that was there this time at the register she said what wrong with this I said it's sick then she started asking me a bunch of random questions like what do you have in and do you have heat I said yes a under tank heater and she said you ain't got no lights I said no they don't need them she said well you need lights and I said ok can I just return it she said ok and next time get an animal that you can take care of I said I have an adult one and she does very well in that setup and doesn't have any problems and she said well I'm surprised that it's still alive and we got are money back but other than that it's a good store every thing is in order and well read more

Beware!! I took my dog for his annual comprehensive exam and also asked that his nails were cut. He was scheduled for a drop-off appointment at 8am. I got a call at 3:30 that he was ready for pickup. Once I arrived, he was not ready. They finally brought him out 35 minutes later and he still had not had gotten all of his shots so I had to wait another 20 minutes. Finally I paid and left Banfield. While walking outside in the parking lot, I heard his nails hitting the pavement pretty loudly so I looked at them and they weren't even cut. I walked back inside and they told me they were sorry and just didn't get to it because the manager went to lunch and said that he was ready. This was a sorry excuse after I just paid a lot of money for services that were not completed and also sent on my way with his nails not even cut. If you go to this location and use Banfield for any pet needs I'd think twice before you put your loved pet in the hands of careless management and some of their personnel. I find the girl in the fish department is rude but the people at the registers, stockers and cashiers are all nice. When I got my hamsters they remembered me and asked how they were doing. I used to shop at Petco because they have 5% back - $5 when you spend $100 but now I notice that Petsmart prices are lower so I'll be shopping here more often. I have been coming to this location for some time and my dog has been there several times with the grooming employees, they love her, super friendly and attentive. I have absolutely no complaints until a week ago when my dog was attended by Kelsi, first of all her attitude over the phone was unacceptable, not to mention in person. My dog has never acted this way before, she was super quiet, calm, a bit sensitive and sleeping so much after this last visit. She is the total opposite of this and it worried me because it went on for 3 days, Kelsi did a horrible job, from a groomers perspective, you do not leave a dog patchy nor a mess, she shaved the matted parts and left the rest an inch bigger, the legs are choppy and her ears were not even touched. I will not be returning, when I asked her, her response was "well I asked you" I understand but how can you explain over the phone versus in person, even when she greeted other dogs she was rude and pulled them with her rather than be friendly. I JUST got back from taking my dog to get groomed. I made an appt. for 3:30p, but upon arrival, I was told that I missed my appt. for 12:30p. Um, NO! Let me tell you that I run a company in NYC w/ over 500 employees, and I DO NOT get appts or times mixed up. I specifically requested the latest appt they had available in the day on Friday because my dog and I are getting on a plane Sat. morning. The ladies (I use that term loosely) at the front desk accepted NO responsibility for THEIR mistake and had an "oh well" response. And when I asked why there was no phone call, she admitted she DID NOT do a reminder call! Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. The place was a mess. Seemed very unprofessional and chaotic, and I cannot imagine my dog being comfortable at all while getting groomed. I absolutely recommend spending your time to find a mom and pop grooming shop, and do not give your money to these ungrateful people.
