DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. 6 months ago I took my dog to get groomed and they do not follow instructions on what you tell them that you want. I Showed up this morning and they have a rude ass person working there. Like if I was the one who picked her job. And Guess what? Picked up my dog 4 hours later and they did the same thing that they did 6 moths ago, I made my self clear when calling to make an appointment. Will never be back. read more

Always a fun place to grab food/toys, the employees act like they really love their jobs!

The stock is fairly standard for what you get at PetSmart, but I came across merchandise that was dirty, and more that had labels ripped off and placed carelessly on the merchandise or otherwise missing completely. In my case, a product was mis-labeled, causing me to leave the store with the wrong product. Luckily the customer service was very friendly and helpful and I received a full refund, but I will use other locations in the future. read more

Our Siberian Huskey Azul goes to camp/boards and gets groomed at this location since she was 4 months old...today she is 3 years old and loves everyone there! We pass by the store on errand days and she gets so excited! She knows they treat her very well and always wants to come back! You guys are the best! read more

I waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me and helped me then waited an additional 15 minutes for someone to come up to a register. No one was at the cashier position, that's not normal I've been to plenty of PetSmarts and that has never been the case. It was like a ghost town. read more

This petsmart needs a revamp ASAP. The aisles are confusing and disorganized. Bad and limited selection. I received a $50 gift card there from a friend who knows I love to shop for my animals and I went there planning to spend it all, left only spending about 9 bucks. Petco is better. read more

This location has absolutely horrible service. We used to use the groomers and doggy day camp services at the Eldridge location and LOVED it there as well as their staff! However we moved close by this location and have to come to this one due to traffic and location, but At this location they could care less about your pet or customer service. Several incidents have happened at this location and after today I will never bring my pet back here again. I have a 5 pound dog and it took over 5 hours to get groomed. She just sat inside a cage all day and no one got to her till right before close, I called several times and have checked on her and people just are standing around talking half the time( yet the don't have the dogs done in a timely manner) very interesting....I highly recommend taking your dog elsewhere if you want good service and your dog taken care of the right way.. read more

I have taken my dog here to get his nails clipped. He came back with 4 long nails on his back toes. I then placed him in the Pet's Hotel for 2 days while I went to a wedding. The place WREAKED of urine. It was so strong my eyes were burning. I understand that dogs have accidents, but it was so over powering both when I dropped him off and when I picked him up. Not only that, but I noticed that when the attendant brought him to me, he pooped in the hall. He then proceeded to urinate in my car even though I was told he just went out. I've had my dog for 2.5 years and he has never, ever, ever done anything like this. He will cross his legs and hold it for days if he has to. My car now smells worse the Pet's Hotel and I definitely plan to find somewhere new to take him when I go out of town. It was apparent to me that he wasn't the only dog having accidents leaving this place. read more

I recently had my 2 year old, very hyper active pit bull boarded at this locations Pet Hotel. I was out of town and needed to place him immediately while in another state. After reading the reviews online I decided to go with Pet Smart's Pet Hotel. I could not be more satisfied with the service I received here. I called Dustin multiple times a day for 5 days straight. He was always so courteous and open with me. He would check on my dog, give me feedback on his activities for that day, and his eating and bathroom schedule. To make my case more complicated, my dog was unaltered. Dustin and the rest of the staff were accommodating to that and even provided him personal play time (for a small fee of course) since he was not allowed to have community play. I was not able to see the facilities when I picked my dog up, but the office seemed very clean and spacious enough for my 55 lb. dog. My dog seemed very happy and clean when I arrived to take him home as well. As a pit bull owner, I can relate to most other PB owners that not just anybody can care for our special angels. People may prejudge them as "aggressive" or "mean" but they are the complete opposite. They are just hyper active dogs with a lot of energy. To have the comfort of knowing that I can board my PB somewhere where they not only do not restrict his breed, but have the capabilities to handle them with love and care, it means the world to me. I highly suggest using the Pet Hotel here, and I plan to continue coming back when needing a temporary home for my pup. Thank you SO SO SO much Pet Smart Pet Hotel! read more

This is by far the WORST Petsmart. Erica A, the "supposed" manager or lead groomer, was awful! She cut my dog extremely too low and burned his bottom with her clippers! When I dropped him off at 3pm instead of her being honest and staying that she made a huge mistake and burned his bottom, she tried to blame it on my dog! He is active and hyper due to the fact that he iust shy of being one! She stated he was biting her and my dog has never bit! If your backside was burned your natural instinct would be to bite as well correct?? Horrible service! And all they wanted to offer was that I wouldn't pay for not be satisfied with the cut. Be careful all pet owners this salon is dangerous and the employees lie! Thank God it was just a burn that can heal on its own and not anything more! read more

This place does not deserve even 1 star! DO NOT take your pets here to be groomed! We just had the most horrible, tramatizing experience (nightmare)here ever! My husband dropped our dog off for a simple bath/nail grind/teeth brush/ear clean combo. When he brought him home he started screaching in pain and putting his paws over his eyes. He was acting really lethargic and weird so I got down to take a close look at him. At this point his poor eyes were completely swollen shut! I tried to lift his lid a little to see his eyes and they were as red as blood! He had tears pouring down his face so we rushed him back to the store to ask them what happened. They said they didnt know what happened to him! I asked for them to please call a 24hr vet from the Banfield Pet Hospital inside and the Pet Care Manager, Ari Browser said he couldn't call anyone and if it were him he'd just take him home and flush his eyes w saline. He said if we took him to the ER, the bill would likely exceed what Petsmart would pay. Forget the bill! My dog is in excruciating pain! We rushed him to the ER and the vet said both his eyes have severely burned cornias! CHEMICAL BURNS IN BOTH EYES! The shampoo they showed me they used said, TEAR FREE. Really? A tear free shampoo burned a dogs cornias?! Either that wasnt the shampoo they actually used on him or they must've poured the soap directly in his eyes! If they wouldve flushed his eyes right away, he may not have had any damage but they didnt, nor did they inform us at the time of pickup that anything got in his eyes! These people need to all be fired for neglecting to inform us of any incident and for advising us to "just take him home" since the ER bill would be so high. read more

Never again. Petsmart has never been a top notch groomer but in a pinch I'll take my dog there. Well, not after today. My dog was supposed to be done at 1. No one could even find the groomer to get a status update when I called at 2:30. He wasn't ready until 4:30 and all the groomers were gone so no one could even address my issues. 6 and a half hours, they did what I specifically asked them numerous times not to do with the cut and they didn't even give me all the services I paid for. $72 for poor service. I'm not even going to buy my dog food there anymore. They've robbed me of enough money. read more

This is about doggie daycare. Will accept pits but will not them play, i have a lab mix, and they required paperwork from my vet stating she wasn't a pit! The lady could see my sweet dog. She regularly plays with pits and they are so sweet, unlike others. No outdoor area and you can't get a tour. Not impressed read more

I started coming to this Petsmart's Grooming because their customer service was better than the other location I used to go to, but unfortunately that has all changed. First the young woman at the front that I dropped my dog off with informed me it was going to take 2-3 hours that Saturday. 3 hours later, I called to get a status and the groomer came on the phone (I assume her name is Terri/Terry because that was the name on the receipt) and told me in the most sarcastic, condescending tone that it will take 4-5 hours on Saturdays and she will call me when he is finished. I didn't appreciate the tone especially when it's not MY fault that your co-worker up front told me wrong information in the first place. I couldn't even explain THAT to her because she wouldn't let me get a word in. So rude and just a plain B. So I don't call back anymore, but instead come to the store at the fifth hour from when I dropped my dog off and a different gentleman working the front told me that my dog has been done and they should have called me. NOPE. TERRY/TERRI what's her face failed to do so. But I guess dealing with bitches all day can rub off on you. read more

I wish I could give this no stars whatsoever. My brothers and mother and I went to adopt a kitty. Everything was going fairly nice til mom approached us and the girl that was attending us. Mom spoke to us in Spanish and asked if mom knew English, mom doesn't. From there on, the ladies attitude completely changed. And I find it even more funny that she had to ask where we were from. Telling her from Mexico completely changed her. Racist. Completely racist. So disappointed with this service. read more

This is concerning the Houston Petsmart on Grooming at I 610 at 59. I am taking my dog to another Petsmart. At the I610 Petsmart they will blame you if your dog does not like the groomer.. They will tell you what you can do to change - not that the dog does not like the groomer. They moved their best Groomer - Erika and then she quit. The management of the store has no idea how they behave in this salon. I called the salon on S. Shepherd and they understood and seemed quite friendly. read more

This is our neighborhood PetSmart. We adopted our second kitty from here. The people here are always knowledgeable and ready to help. Their pet adoption people are great too. There's always kitties and puppies to visit when we go in, and that's a lot of fun. read more

I had a horrible visit at PetSmart store #0198, the one at the 610 Loop by the Galleria - wanted to warn you all as well. I took my 2 1/2 year old Cavalier, Teddy at 8 AM this morning for what was supposed to be a morning groom (3-4 hrs), didn't get him back until almost 7 hrs and phone calls later. When my brother called at 1, they said Teddy was getting a bath. When I called at 2:30 asking why he still wasn't ready, they told me Teddy was misbehaving and had made it so they couldn't groom him on schedule. I called the store manager to complain, after I had Teddy out of there and safely at home, after researching, she told me it was a scheduling mistake, and that no one realized he was there - then admitted that by the time they got to him, he was so stressed and frantic that the groomer had a hard time settling down; the groomer, who has seen Teddy before, even told the Manager he has always been an excellent dog. So 1) first employee in grooming department lied to me saying they were delayed only because Teddy was bad 2) they had my dog in a kennel for over 5 hrs and never checked on him 3) they admitted to stressing him out to the point he wouldn't hold still for a groomer, and this is an easy going happy go lucky dog. Then the Manager tells me they will give me 20% off my next purchase and to please come again. I told her that I was no longer doing business with any PetSmart location, and would share this experience with as many people as I possibly could to prevent such a thing happening to their beloved pets. read more
