No one contacted me. Manager Ron acknowledged the issue was known that morning but made no attempt to notify me and deflected responsibility with vague explanations. The groomer did her part. Management did not. This was entirely preventable and shows a serious lack of follow-through and accountability. I only avoided a wasted trip by calling myself. Unacceptable. read more

Stay away from PetSmart Katy 24600 Katy Freeway for grooming. They advertise walk in happy hour and when you drive all the way there with 2 dogs they insist you need an appointment. So make the next appointment 30 min away and then they flat out refused to put the dogs in the back for no other reason than to be inconsiderate. Katherine the groomer saved the day... we thought we had two appointments for dog baths but some type of way it was a mixup. When was it for very early in the morning and the other for later in the evening we couldn't afford to wait until the evening so we called early in the morning to get the situation fixed around 7:30 AM no one was there at the grooming salon yet and I know it was left for them to give us a call when they got in a couple of hours later. I almost missed a personal appointment trying to wait and see if we should drop one dog off or both in the morning or just cancel all together. We never heard from anyone so after my personal appointment I called back and Gave the whole scenario to the person who answered at the grooming salon. This person happens to be a lady who is supposed to be focused on grooming, not baths name, Katharine she had her story out and was willing to work with us to help get both dogs clean at the same time prior to late evening appointments so that we could stick with our own schedule of leaving out of town on time in the evening. Katharine was able to bathe my two dogs herself. They smelled great and looked better. Thanks to Kathryn for helping us to go out of town clean and on time. Additionally, I've been trying to get some of the few treats that my dogs like prior to leaving and it seems that all of the Petsmart's have been sold out. I was able to do a store pick up at this location and get exactly what we needed at the time that I picked my dogs up from their bath this location has been clutch so far. read more

I will not be going to this PetSmart ever again. This is the smallest PetSmart I have ever been in. I have stopped here several time when I am going to DSW next door. All 4 times I have stopped in here they don't sell what I need. Other PetSmart do sell what I need though, just not this location. They don't sell bags of prescription dog, duck food, can prescription dog food and that's just for starters. As I was leaving yesterday, two other people leaving PetSmart were saying "This location does not sell anything," so I guess I am not the only one thinking this. read more

It's on the smaller side for a Petsmart. The positive is that there is a rescue group housing kitties here for any potential adopters. The negative was the groomers all chit chatting while dogs where crying loudly in the background. Apparently they are paid to talk more than groom. There's a big glass window there guys so everyone can see what you are doing (or not doing in this case) while dogs are loudly crying and scratching at kennels. No vet here either. Not sure if that is good or bad honestly since most of them aren't very clean anyway. read more

Never really had a problem here. We usually take our puppy here every 3-4 months to get her hair groomed. The staff is always super friendly. Peanut is a havanese mix and we usually get a 5 blade on her except for the summer times where we go with a 7 all around. We asked for the teddy bear face and oh goodness was she adorable. For around $70 they offered oatmeal shampoo and conditioner, teeth brushing and nail filing. We took the puppy to the groomers today and they said it would take 3-4 hours. Well 5 and a half hours later we hadn't heard from them so we gave them a call. They said they'd call us back soon because our groomer was at lunch. Who goes to lunch at 6PM? Anyways I called back at 6:30PM and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Finally an update 5 and a half hour laters. Apparently it takes over 6 hours to get a haircut. We also got our pet hamster here as well as supplies for our pet turtle. read more

Do not take your dog here for a haircut! I took my three-pound Yorkie here and the next thing you know is I am getting a call from the store saying my dog is being taken to the ER. My dog was cut very bad in a sensitive area and the only thing the manager could say is we overbooked and the girl was rushing. My little dog had to get stitches due to their groomer's negligence. Service includes Oxygen-Infused Bath, Tangerine Shampoo, Blow Dry, Up to 15-Minute Brushing, Sanitary Trim, Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning or Flushing, Anal Gland Cleaning, Scissoring Feet & Shaving Pads) aparte del baño y peinado, la limpieza de sus orejas y limpieza de sus partes normales, (estomago, traseros, patas) después de cuatro horas me hicieron una llamada diciendo que mis perros estaban listos para recogerlos, al llegar me trajeron primero a uno que estaba relativamente bañado aunque no olía bien, unos segundos despues trajeron al otro y este estaba en muy mal estado, aun estaba húmedo, olía a perro sucio y mojado, cuando le mire su cara estaba con los ojos sucios con esas lagrimas que les salen a los poodles y que con el baño fácilmente se les quita, sus orejas estaban sucias, y quiero decir absolutamente sucias, no había afeitado ni sus partes sanitarias ni sus patas, me fije en el primero que me habian traido y tampoco tenia sus patas limpias ni sus ojos, ni sus uñas cortadas, al ver esto le dije a una de las señoritas que me parecía que no habían terminado aun con el servicio por el cual yo estaba pagando ( la chica que los atendió ya se había ido) y su actitud fue como de "ughh! ok ya vamos a afeitar sus patas, luego les dije que sus orejas olían a sucio y que estaban sucias asi que se lo llevaron adentro y las limpiaron sabra Dios como, luego otra de ellas cogio a mi otro perrito y le medio arregló sus patitas que tenían el pelo muy largo, pero la actitud de ellas en ningún momento fue de aceptación de que se habia cometido un error y en ningun momento se ofreció ni una minima disculpa. Para acabarla de completar una de las señoritas cuando "termino" de dizque arreglar a uno de mis perros salio y me dijo que "las orejas de mi perro olían porque seguramente estaban con alguna infeccion que seguro le habrá dado por yo intentar bañarlo en casa, que preferiblemente no los bañe en casa y que los lleve a que ellas se encarguen para que no presente esas infecciones!!!" Oh Please!! en ese momento llegue a pensar que no me gustaría ver a mi perro enfermo así que al otro dia lo lleve a revisar a su veterinaria y me dijo que el perro estaba en perfectas condiciones y que sus orejas no tienen ningún tipo de infección. A mi personalmente la tienda siempre me ha gustado porque es muy limpia, el olor no es desagradable y siempre encuentro todo lo que necesito pero esa ultima experiencia con la sesión de Grooming me dejo un muy mal sabor de boca, me parecio terrible practicamente tenerles que rogar para que porfavor les hicieran lo que su deber era hacer ya que es un servicio que se esta pagando y ahora me da estres llevar a los perros a ese mismo lugar por temor a que además los maltraten. read more

I had the WORST experience EVER here with the grooming department. I brought my little pooch in to get a haircut for his birthday and they FAILED miserably. I had specifically told the lady when I was leaving that he usually is cut with a mussel on because he likes to chew on hands, and that he sweet spot to calm him down was behind his ears. I left and figured everything would be OK since they do this all day everyday. After a few hours I get a call saying that they can't finish his cut because he was trying to bite and was too scared. So of course I head over to get him. When I arrive I ask if they tried putting a mussel on him and the "Manager" states that they couldn't because hes a breeding dog (YORKIE). I was confused by that statement because no one had told me at the beginning that he couldn't have one when I stated that he is usually cut with one. So after ALLL that all they did was shave most of his back and belly and said they plucked his ears and cleaned his teeth. I had purchased the TOP DOG upgrade which is $23 and that includes nail grind, teeth, ears, cologne, upgrade shampoo and conditioner, bandanna, and the whole nine yards....When they handed me my bill they still charged me $18 for the top dog service which all they really performed was probably his ears because he didn't smell good at all and his nails were not even attempted and he didn't get anything I actually paid for. Then they charge me for a bath...like I said he still smelled bad so IDK what kind of bath they gave him definitely wasn't the upgraded one that I paid for. I didn't have time to argue with them because I had to get my son from school and honestly was just so upset that they didn't even try with him. And after all that the Manager had the audacity to tell me, "you can bring him back next week and we can try again when it's not so busy." I didn't realize that a place being busy means you can't do your job correctly. So overall I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY not recommend taking your dogs here. The workers seem lazy and not willing to try. My dog looked so awful that I cried when I got home because they just did such an awful job. read more

I just went back to PetSmart for grooming after using a cheaper place closer to home for a few months and I am so glad I did! My dog got razor burn at the other groomers which developed into an infection, costing a lot of money at the vet. But he healed well and was finally able to get shaved again so it's easier for him to bear the summer heat and Christine just did an absolutely excellent job at the PetSmart groomers. I loved getting his little report card and she was very kind and patient with both me and my dog, explaining everything she was going to do and listening to my concerns about his sensitive skin. This location has went downhill quickly. I've been bringing my pup here for grooming since they opened. Prior to moving in this area he was going to the one on Fry and before that the one on Highway 6. I've used Petsmart for his grooming for over 4 years. The notes on his file state not to brush his teeth, cut his nails, and that he is fidgety when getting his faced shaved. Even w/ the notes everytime we go I tell the groomer not to do his nails or brush his teeth and that he doesn't like getting his face shaved so if he tries to bite the clippers or seems irritated just don't shave his face. They normally follow instructions well but not this time. When they called and said he was ready I went to pick him up and was told he bit the groomer. I asked what were they doing when he bit them and was told one person was shaving his face while another was filing his nails! Keep in mind I told his groomer NOT to do his nails and that if he shows any sign of discontent when she was shaving his face to stop. To make matters worse the manager tried to charge me and extra $7 to cover the groomer being bit. Total Bull and I refused to pay that charge which resulted in them telling me I can't bring my pet here. The part that baffles me is even though he bit the groomer they CONTINUED working on him. When I arrived his face was fully shaved! I don't feel bad abt the bite bc if they had listened to my instructions like they normally do this wouldn't have happened. Lousy service, lousy managers, and groomers that do what they want despite the owner's request is more than enough for me to take my business elsewhere. read more

Took my shih tzu and yorkie for grooming for the first time. I had a 9:00am appointment and they were ready when I got there. Kat talked to me about what I wanted for my girls and she looked them over while I was there to asses for any possible extra charges. They called me two times after I left...one to make me aware of a hot spot on my yorkie's leg and second to let me know that there was some matting they had to work through and there would be an extra charge. I was VERY appreciative of both calls so I would not be surprised with stuff upon pick up. They called me right at 12:30 to let me know that my girls were ready. Pick up was easy and effortless and my girls haircuts were exactly what I had asked for. Thank you to all of the grooming staff for taking care of my girls!! read more

Do not use their pet grooming. We have been a customer of theirs for several years and will no longer be using them. They have instituted a policy of using a choke leash instead of the one you provide and requiring the dog to walk through their door on their own. They Wouldn't cut my dogs hair at his appointment because it had only been 36 hours since his rabies shot. But they didn't tell me that when they told me I needed it. The manager, Jillian, told me that I should of read it on the website. When I asked her to show me where it was on the website; it took three of them 13 mins to find it and she only found it because she called the district office and asked them where it was. Yet, I should of been able to find it. While looking, she told me if it says confidential then she couldn't show me. So she obviously wasn't even sure it was on there. But told me, that she is the manager so she knows the policies so she doesn't have to know if it's on the website. To top it off, I asked her for her managers phone number and she gave me the wrong one. Couldn't believe it since she said she was the manager and knows everything. I was just really not impressed with their customer service and will definitely drive further to go somewhere different than give them my business in the future. read more
