Please please STAY AWAY from this place if you LOVE your pets !!! This is an absolute disgrace to them. I still can't believe what happened to my poor little pup. He was dropped off for a hair cut/bath and belly shave was suggested by the groomer because of matting after the consultation. And guess what they did to him???!!!! 70% of his body/face was shaved. I was shocked at the results, still I'm. It's heartbreaking to watch him looking like a sick dog. And the explanation they provided was "You did your initials at the shaving matted spots on the paper work. It's just hair, it will grow back. You should be grateful for being charged $47 only . It's supposed to be much more". But the groomer and I agreed upon shaving belly area only, after brushing him out thoroughly. I don't believe, she is even a professional groomer, I think they just bring anyone to fill in, they could be psychopaths which is very likely in this case. She must hate dogs or just a sadist or a racist, I can't find any good reason to justify this act. I feel stupid for not reading reviews ahead and got my baby go through this horrible event. I would like to heed my only warning - SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS. I got accused of running out of my bill because the cashier at the front threw away my paper from grooming and pocketed my $80. Several phone calls, security footage and no apology later, I was proved innocent but it was 25% my fault for not saving/getting the receipt for the payment. I like this place so here's all the reasons you should go: First of all, I want to say that I come to this PetSmart every four weeks as they have done the best job keeping my dog's cost manageable. I have a malamute mix and the ONLY way to make it through is getting him Furminated, often. I give PetSmart one star just for offering this treatment. I have tried to go to other groomers who do not offer the name brand Furminator treatment and tools but a "de-shed" alternative, and it is not the same. I'm handing out the next star for their prices. De-shedding treatments are incredibly expensive and it seems as though my favorite groomers at our local petsmart grooming department do a better job than anyone else I've ever visited for a whole lot less. I'm going to give another star for the employees. They are good to my dog, they are respectful of me, and they do well in keeping a facility full of animals clean. Im giving my fourth and final star for the quality of the facility. This petsmart is big. They have a vast food section, beds, collars, numerous toys for all kinds of animals, and several other things. There is very few dog related items I could need that I can't find here. It is an all-in-one for anyone who is willing to compromise a little with "name brand" fronts. The quality is good in my opinion. Not only with the groomers, but I also take my dog to do indoor play time when it is far too hot for a malamute to run. He loves running and playing with his friends, and it's a nice air-conditioned alternative to sitting at home or overheating in the yard. It's also a nice peace of mind to know that between the dog daycare and the grooming facility, there is a vets office if my dog was to ever be hurt or sick while in their care. read more

Went in to buy fish. Asked me how big the tank was, told her. Says" I can't sell you the fish" because they might die. One inch a gallon. Even though fish we have are between half an inch to inch currently. Complained to Manager who also gave poor response, tried to defend his employee as to saying "she was advising" and not saying she wouldn't sell. Poor management currently at this store. Please do not take your dog here to be groomed. I asked for a hair cut on my Golden Retriever. Goldens naturally have long hair and so usually groomer just cut some of the length. Nope. Not these groomers. They shaved her. My husband told them what she needed cut and no where did we ask for her to be shaved. Goldens can't be shaved. Spent $100 and am very disappointed with the result. If you have to groom your pet, literally go anywhere but here. read more

On a routine basis you can not get any help in the fish department. I thought that it was that I was there at close. Today I was there at open... 45 minutes. Nothing. Some stockers in the back, one woman on the register. Zero people on the floor. I would understand almost if it wasn't for the fact their prices and 20% to 50% higher than Amazon. I've made a promise to myself, despite the fact it is a major inconvenience, I will not shop at this store in the future. The time it costs me is ridiculous. Boarded my cat for a week, told them I would pick him up a day early. When I arrived to pick him up, she must have missed the memo and had a worried look on her face. She brought him out to me and he smelled like urine and had litter all over his paws. She said she wiped him down before she brought him to me too so lord knows how much more of a mess he was. We used the Petshotel at this location and we did not have a great experience. When we picked our dog up he smelled like urine and poop, like he had been left to sit in his own feces. He was in camp when we got there and the girl that was in the room with all of the dogs was not paying attention at all. There were giant breeds in there with little dogs and if I had see that before I wouldn't have signed Max up for camp at all. The manager was rude when I brought up my concerns and Max seemed very stressed out and I wish I had never left him here! Lesson learned? Do your homework before you leave your pets anywhere! This is a boarding review. Overall, meets basic needs (hence 2 stars). Part of me believes that a healthy dog (non-senior, no special needs) would have a great time boarding here. The reason why I would never recommend this place is because they do not own up to their own mistakes. They'll blame you for it.They do nothing to assure you that next time will be better. They'll recommend you to go somewhere else if an issue arises. And they'll probably charge you for it. Take your furbabies elsewhere. The first time I boarded with them was due to an emergency situation when my dog sitter couldn't watch my dog anymore. They were very accommodating/helpful and was able to take my dog last minute. My dog takes daily pain medication but I did not set up my dog sitter with the original prescription bottle (Petsmart's policty requires original prescription bottles for dogs that need medication), so I thought my dog would go a few days without medication. But the staff said they were able to verify my dog's med with their vet and keep him medicated for his arthritis (so they said). I felt satisfied AT FIRST. When I got home I realized they mixed up his medication (they used up all of his anxiety meds and didn't use any of his pain meds). THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE RED FLAG THAT KEPT ME FROM COMING BACK. But I the staff was so friendly and went out of their way make sure my dog got his pain meds. Despite their mistakes, I thought it would be safe to bring by dog back to such a loving/caring facility. WRONG. After bringing him home from his second stay, I noticed that they messed up his medications again! This time I called and asked what was going. (it was antibiotics and he had a specific schedule to keep). This is what went down: - They insisted they gave the right medication. Yeah right, there were several days worth of antibiotics remaining when there should have only been 2 days left. - Then, when they finally admitted they gave the medication wrong: - They blamed me for cutting the pills (even though I called days before to explain that that pills were pre-cut by my vet AND was assured that it would be ok) - they blamed me for putting my dogs pill in a weekly pill case that confused them (MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS OK TO DO THAT WHEN I ASKED BEFORE HAND) I mean, what's so hard about taking medications out of the Monday slot on Monday? - When I asked the manager (Nicky) how she expects her customers to trust the hotel with their pet's medications, she told me I'm better off taking my pet elsewhere. I had also (made the mistake of) setting my dog up for a trim at the grooming salon during his stay: - They offered an OPTIONAL expedited services for a fee. I declined - Then they called me the next day and said that the expedited services fee was mandatory for senior dogs. - When I asked them why it was never mandatory at other petsmart grooming. They then told me that they would make an exception for me just this one time. SHADY MUCH? Some positives: - My dog was otherwise unharmed and seemed to enjoy his stay. - The staff (when there are no issues), are super friendly. I saw them greet other customers and was impressed that they remember everyone's names. - His hair cut turned out descent. We put our dogs in Doggie Day Camp while we went to the Cardinals game. The people there were very friendly, and the dogs seemed to have enjoyed themselves during the day. The facility was very clean, and they gave my dogs ice cream!! We'd take them back here if we're ever in the area again! read more

I just love Petsmart. It's a treat for Bailey to take a trip to the dog store as I tell him when we get in the car. This location is a few years newer than others. It's always busy with people and sometimes it's a little overwhelming for my little guy. But when they have coupons I recommend using them, it's an awesome savings! read more

We take our Dobie to the Manchester location for grooming and nail care. They always take good care of her. She is afraid at first, but is a happy canine when we return to pick her up. She loves other dogs( her best friend is a Maine Coon), so it's like social hour when she goes for grooming. Good job, PetsMart! read more

I boarded my English Bulldog for the first time ever, and she is 7 years old. The workers were very friendly and gave me updates when I called to ask about her, since she was staying for 9 night. My pup seemed to have had a great time and came home worn out! I also use the people at the pet hospital at this location are also wonderful and provide great veterinary service. Good and bad here. I used to love the doggy day camp and the trainers at this location, but my oldest is too arthritic to go to day camp and the good trainers - Marie and Marie Carroll - both retired. Two major pet peeve issues at this location: 1) The grooming salon banned my elderly Shar Pei because of an injury he sustained at another location that was found to be fault of the salon. Accidents happen but blacklisting a client for it, really? 2) The new trainer is obnoxious. Who in their right mind thinks it's acceptable to call someone's dog a "baby killer" and ask how many children he's eaten today and how they tasted even as a joke? How tactless can you be, even when it's obvious the owner is uncomfortable. Even when I said something, she did it multiple times when I was visiting my rescue OEB at the PetsHotel. I ended up taking my boys elsewhere. My Shar Pei found a salon much less petty and my OEB went to a much better trainer. Until there's some new management and a better trainer, I probably won't be back. read more

Leaving my two dogs at this Petsmart was one of the worst decisions I've made. My husband and I left our two dogs here while we were in Europe for two weeks. We live near Fort Leonard Wood, so boarding options are basically nonexistent. We decided to leave them at this Petsmart. What led to the decision was the doggy day camp. They're both still puppies and have a ton of energy. We wanted them to be playing all day. We had family call and check daily to ensure everything was going smoothly. On the second day, the workers informed our family that our dog has had diarrhea. A few days later we are told she tested positive for giardia (she had a fecal test prior to coming, which was negative, so she had to have gotten infected here). They then proceeded to isolate my two dogs. Didn't have doggy care. Just had a walk a couple times of day. For two energetic puppies, this is not enough. When we called to find out when they could participate in the day camp we received lackluster responses, "I don't know" and "let me get back to you". I'm Sorry but for $1000 I feel completely robbed and disappointed. When we went to retrieve our dogs, not a single apology. The worker actually proceeded to argue with me saying everyone was up to date on the issue and no one could possibly tell me "I don't know". I have never been treated in such a manner after handing over $1000. The reason I wrote this is because my husband and I picked up our dogs from the Watering Bowl today and we were ensured they were playing all day through photos and videos they uploaded to Facebook daily. Will never again consider using Petsmart services or products again. read more

I heard them chatting about it when some of them finally showed up late with 12 dogs waiting to be checked in! Then told us they could not keep the appointments for the day! I took my small dog to the doggie day camp this week to get him used to the idea of boarding we need to do this summer. The staff were friendly, but I'd never take my dog here for day camp or boarding again. I was told that dogs were checked for fleas before allowing into camp..they did not check my dog, so I am sure they did not check others as well. This concerned me. I dropped my dog off and being his first time he was a bit nervous so I hung around in the store for a while and peeked at what he was doing a few times. He sat by the door nervously panting and had one larger size dog very much in his space. The larger dog even had stepped over him with his leg and stood there hovering over my 18 pound dog. The lady in the room made no attempt to get him to move off my already nervous dog. I video tapped the situation and also witnessed another larger dog ( approximately 30 pounds) grabbing and very aggressively attempting to mate with a very small Maltese. This went on for quite some time..the worker never made an attempt to get the larger dog off the Maltese. The room they are in is nothing special..small and not many toys. The dogs basically walk around and "entertain" themselves. I didn't see any interaction with them and the employee. I left for 1 hour and came back to check on my dog again. The same exact situation was going on..the same dog was not leaving mine alone and I also witnessed the Maltese basically being abused by the larger dog. I was told the dogs are "walked" during play time and at boarding..I was later informed that the "walk" is putting them in a room they use for them to potty..They NEVER go outside..even for boarding. Upon picking my dog up (which I should have done earlier) I was given a report card..all marked with the highest marks possible..He romped and played all day, he made a ton of friends, he loved his day with them . Little do they know, I was there in the store for 45 minutes at drop off and came back an hour later to check on him and was watching my dog for 15 minutes before pick up..he was not playing and he was not enjoying himself at all..I didn't appreciate being lied to just to get my business again. read more
