IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS I WOULD! READ THIS.... & PLEASE LOOK AT THE VIDEO !!! Winston has his own groomer (Santi) that is amazing! However, he hurt his arm and is not working for the time being. I saw this place had OKAY reviews and I trusted some of the reviews. Well, my husband dropped him off at 12:30pm and they said to pick him up at 4pm. They call me and say that they are struggling with him and need more time, that maybe 5pm. My husband goes to pick him up and he is literally BOTCHED! They only had his body shaved and his head and ears and feet still full of hair. I told my husband they needed to finish. They said he was anxious, and misbehaving. First of all, my husband said they weren't treating him very nice in the first place. Winston's usual groomer always talks about how good he is and he is usually the best behaved. So it's obviously not my dog. He is a good boy and has NEVER bit anyone. Does he play bite when he is happy because he is still somewhat a puppy (he turned ONE last month), sure. But he is not aggressive and they said he was. I honestly feel they were not very good with dogs, they did a terrible job. And i just don't understand how they even let us leave with him looking like this. There is a part of his neck that they went SO LOW and they could've cut/hurt him. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. My sweet boy Winston.... P.S: They said to come back tomorrow because he wouldn't stop crying of how scared he was and he needed a break. So we did not pay, and we will not be going back. I took my dog to groom. After four hours I went to pick her up. They charged me and gave her to me. First, however, they brought out the wrong dog. When I got my dog, they had not bathed her or done her nails. The person that was supposed to take care of our dog seemed very confused and she was very incompetent. I will never go there again. A young man that works there ended up bathing my dog and I was able to take her home 45 minutes later. read more

I have mostly always had a really, really good experience with getting my various dogs trimmed here! The groomer who was very special with all of my pets was Olga. All of my pets and I truly love her! I think she has some Health problems unfortunately. She has always been wonderful! I wish her well. The other groomers are really good too! The only problem I have with the store is that it is kind of expensive! And once I took my German Shepherd Dog "Sugar Baby " to their training classes. One or two of the class were cut too short. We want to share our story so that no one has to go through what we went through at PetSmart. On Wednesday June 17th, 2022 we took our 5 year old Schnauzer "Joey" to PetSmart (13621 S Dixie Hwy, Palmetto Bay, FL 33176 ) for a bath, hair trim and nail trimming.  After picking him up, we were satisfied with the grooming services and promptly paid.  The following day we were looking into the dogs eyes and noticed that his eyes were not only red but incredibly blood shot. We promptly took him to Banfield Pet Hospital that following morning which is when the doctor asked if Joey had been groomed recently.  The Vet explained, this happens when dogs are groomed and are tied to tight while being groomed which limits their movement and causes, for lack of a better word, asphyxiation.  Joey was tied to the strap that holds the dog in place so tight that he was slowly asphyxiating which caused hemoraging in his eyes. As you can imagine, this was disturbing to hear. As luck would have it the manager for that particular PetSmart walked into Banfield Pet Hospital to pick up another animal, they had taken there for reasons we are not aware of, at the same moment we were discussing this in the lobby with the Vet. The Vet repeated Joeys diagnosis to the PerSmart manager. He heard it clearly. The manager for PetSmart promised to look into it and call us. A few hours later he called to say that he had reviewed the footage and in a vacuum of his own creation decided that he saw no wrongdoing.  When I asked to view the recordings he refused and began suggesting that it could have happened anywhere, including with us.  Essentially insinuating that we picked the dog up at the groomer, choked him on the way home only to call them the following day in order to blame them... ludicrous and insulting to say the least. I want to make sure that other pet owners are aware of how PetSmart handled this situation and neglected their responsibility to us and especially Joey. They do not hold their employees accountable for their actions and cannot be trusted. read more

So for some unexplainable reason my dog (who is as much if a fan of taking a bath as a pre-teen boy ::read-HATES IT::) gets all kinds if wiggly-excited when she comes to get groomed at this location. You can tell the people there really love and understand dogs, maybe that is why.. Not only do the give good cuts and send the dogs home smelling like... Baked goods.. But, when I went to pick my pup up they put get on the floor and let her run over to greet me. Excellent move. I got a full view of the cut and that.. 'My puppy knows I'm her human and she missed me even though I dropped her of to get clipped and washed moment' which is almost worth the price of admission in and of itself. Nice people. Fair prices. ZERO RATING... HORRIBLE... DON'T EVER GO! We dropped off our 2 puppies for grooming, one at 12:30 pm and one at 1:30 pm and were told they would be done by 3:30 pm the latest as it was going to be a light grooming given it was their first time and just needed to even out their hair. Close to 3:30 pm they called and said they needed more time, no ETA. Then at 5:15 pm they called again and gave a number of excuses why they were still delayed (2 employees didn't show up, some urgent dog grooming need, etc.) and when asked to just tell us when our dogs would be ready as it had already been too many hours for two 4-month old puppies and they had been waiting way to long, the RUDE girl in the grooming shop just cut me off and transferred me to the manager who at least was completely apologetic and mortified about how his employees were behaving. After waiting minutes on hold I find out the fate of our pups, the manager comes back to say that Keosha... our groomer... just didn't feel comfortable finishing the job. How pathetic! It took her more than 4 hours to figure this out!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Our dogs had completely uneven hair all over, a disaster, and we now have to take them to another real groomer to fix the MESS they were left with. AND WORSE OF ALL, NOT ONE GIRL IN THAT GROOMING SHOP APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR LACK OF SERVICE AND THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. They are rude, and honestly I wouldn't trust my animal there! read more

So for the first time my dog was denied his nails being filed because he has a tag but doesn't have a vaccine. Mind you the dog has been getting his nails filed here a few times and his rabies vaccine has been given an override by the vet for years. For the first time ever he was declined service for the same rabies certificate I have been bringing for years. Is frustrating because it was never my fault, I've always been being the same certificate for years and still have all the copies at home with the same message. So the older your dog or with any medical conditions that don't allow them to get rabies because of any disability do not bring here. It's not by choice that I don't want my dog to have the vaccine, every doctor has not allowed me to get it ever since he was 11. I've never had a dog discriminated due to disability or age but I guess Petsmart doesn't want a dogs nail to be filed due to a vaccine not being given due to disability. read more

First and last time! Unfortunately we were not happy with the grooming service, made an appointment to find out I had to leave my dog for 3 hours, no one said that over the phone. The visit ended up being over 4 hours which the first 2 were of him sitting and probably barking in a kennel which my rescue has never been in. The haircut was Ok but they don't even spray him with any perfume, no bandana or any other cute perks. Their prices are Not any cheaper than my usual Mobile Groomer which do an excellent job in 30 minutes AND my dog smells great! I LOVE this location of PetSmart. Their staff has the friendliest employees I have ever encountered at any type of store. They guide, teach, and guide you so well! I'm a new dog owner and needed diapers for my dog in heat. I wish I knew the name of the super nice and helpful young lady that stayed with me for ever! She even helped with my dog's food and took me over to the canned pumpkins and taught me about how that helps with digestive issues. Next visit I took my dog in and she barked wildly the whole time I was there. I was so embarrassed! Let's establish a baseline before you read any further. I don't want to mislead you with a 4 star review when it relates to pets. I like animals. I like them medium, warm with a pink center as any steakhouse server will inform you. The 4 stars is for Alex, the manager that ordered 40 batteries for the bark collars for the two dogs taking residence in what was once my backyard. The store was out of stock last week when I went to purchase more batteries. Apparently there are others than myself that buy in bulk. But, Alex took my number, placed a special order and followed up by calling me last night to let me know that he had my order set aside. Now, if only my neighbors would learn that "Dancing Queen" is not acceptable at any decibel level, then my backyard will be peaceful once again. read more

I would only bring my dog to be groomed by one groomer named Rohanny. She was the only groomer that could handle my shihtzu poodle mix and be able to do his nails too! I know he is difficult to deal with since now I have to groom him myself from home since I moved out of state. But before I moved, I came back to visit only to find out my favorite groomer got fired! As far as Petsmart stores go, this is one of the best. They placed it perfectly on the far end of the plaza so it's safe to have your dog on a lease coming from your car to the store. My dogs love coming here, especially on the weekend when Friends Forever Rescue has lots of dogs for adoption for mine to mingle with. This is the perfect place to come if you're looking to rescue a new best friend. The store is clean and well organized. On our most recent trip we were looking for 3 specific items and two of them were out of stock. There was a lot of empty slots in the aisle we were in, seems like they need to do a better job ordering and stocking. I'm so disappointed in the grooming service of PetSmart . I took my 5 month old yorkie for her first haircut . I went in amd they evaluated her and told me they would do a puppy cut . When I picked her up they had completely shaved her to almost her skin even her face area . I know she had some knots but the girl that checked me in felt them and she said it was fine to give her a puppy cut . She also looked like she was given something to calm her down . My puppy is very hyper and for more then 24 hours she wouldn't even get up from her bet , wouldn't play , NOTHING ! I'm so sad my puppy had such cute hair and she has none now . read more

My mom lives around here so I end up at this location a lot. What I love about this place is that it is HUGE. It has almost everything and anything you need or want for your pet. Not only that but a lot of times they (surprisingly) beat their competitors prices! They have cats for you to view if you're interested in adopting and different smaller animals (fish, reptiles, birds, hamsters, etc) that you can buy right away. Not to mention every Saturday they have thing big thing where some adoption agency brings in a bunch of dogs and kids can walk them around and play with them, all while advertising their adoption. Only cons: 1. The grooming seems to be pretty expensive, even for pinecrest. I've found a place right down the street that does it for three times less. 2. They always seem a bit understaffed. It's not unusual to see a long line at the registers with only one register open. Or a lot of time when you need help on the floor there are only 2 or 3 employees and they're usually crowded by other customers waiting to be helped. When you do finally get help the employees are super nice and knowledgable so it's worth it to talk with them. It's just getting a hold of them thats the problem. read more

so there comes a time in the life of a pet owner in which your pet starts smelling ridiculously funky and you inevitably must give it a bath. My house is a small petting zoo, but the main protagonists are my two dogs. We love them so much that my mother actually refers to my dogs as our brothers... that's her thing don't ask me. Let me paint it this way Byron is a Newfie and Bruno is a Bullmastiff... needless to say we stopped trying to give them baths in our bath tub a long long time ago. Twice a month we take them to the groomers at Petsmart to get them nice and gussied up. They absolutely love it! (and for two dogs that size to enjoy it, says a lot), they actually get excited when they know its time for a grooming sesh. The customer service is stellar! The guys love our dogs almost as much as we do and you can tell by the way they care for them. Today I walked in to pick up the Newfie and before I said anything I heard one of the girls tell the guy in the back to "go get Byron"... I don't think I've ever talked to this girl before in my life, but she apparently knows my family well. While I waited, I observed the groomers work on their corresponding pet (there was a poodle, a Husky, and two labs) and surely it was like walking into a salon and watching the stylists interacting with their costumers....it made me giggle. Byron has a dermatitis problem and the guy took the time to recommend some things that might help him with it. He was genuinely concerned. Our dogs always come out looking like glam starts, with their shiny coats and hair dos, and they even go as far as to put a bandanna on Bruno, that's usually themed according to the month. I brought my puppy here for her first professional grooming session and could not have been any happier. One Saturday afternoon, Lucy's daddy commented to me that she smelled like a Dorito, and although there are worse things a puppy could smell like, I decided it was time for a bath. I remembered having received an e-mail from Petsmart about a puppy bathing special for $8.99 and though I should take advantage of the super deal. I called to make an appointment for Sunday morning and the person on the phone was very accommodating and friendly. When Lucy arrived for her bath she was greeted by lots of smiles and seemed pretty comfortable. I was told to pick her up in about two hours. When I returned, she looked great and the Dorito smell had been replaced by a much more pleasant cucumber-melon scent. Her nails were trimmed and her ears cleaned. Lucy seemed happy and the staff told me had been wonderful. Best of all, it turned out to be 'Pug Day" at the salon, so Miss Lucy had her picture taken and went home with a goody bag filled with a chew toy, food samples, doggy treats and a 4 x 6 picture of herself! I have been taking my dogs here to get groomed for years, unfortunately today will be my last visit. I picked up my dog just to find many bloody scratches in her back from the clippers. Upon further looking I also noticed that her nails were not cut as I paid for. I returned with the dog, after repeating the information several times the English speaker tells me that the nails on her hind legs don't grow, seriously???? I just came out of this store and bought my first ever (and hopefully many more to come) bearded dragon! Everyone here was superrrrr friendly and helpful, despite me being awkward as all hell, they helped me out, gave some really great advice and overall just they had awesome customer service. Especially Sabrina (I believe) was extraordinarily helpful and sweet, it reminded me a lot of where I work, where customer service comes first and everyone feels like a family.
