My sister and I both adopted cats from this Petsmart location and had a great experience! The employee helping us was awesome throughout the process. My husband and I had stopped by to look at their cats, not expecting to fall in love with a couple of them the way we did. So much so that we ended coming back the next day with my sister and we each ended up adopting a cat. We adopted a little firepoint Siamese kitten and my sister got a friendly orange tabby cat. They gave us a coupon book that was very useful for everything my husband and I bought for our little kitty. Having to wait for her to showed to work just doesn't justify that you need my services. If you can't show up on time then. I don't need to give you any business. We recently got a new puppy and have found PetSmart has great selections for food, treats, toys, and accessories at a reasonable price. If you sign up for the free Treats Rewards, you get points for each dollar spent which accumulate towards coupons/money back. It's a pretty good deal! This store is a little more run down than some of the other locations i've been to (granted, it is older). The carts looked a little gross upon entry. The last two times we have been at this location the staff is hostile. The cashiers always seem overworked and rude. The second we walked up to the register, all the man said was "phone number?" with a sigh, as he slung out items into bags. We ask to bypass the pen and he reached over the counter annoued to push the button for us. He was rude and dismissive both times we have visited. First this is the best place to get any dog groomed. We love it and I will continue to go here till one of two things happen, we don't have our sweet guy no more God forbid, or Taylor stops working here. Taylor is fantastic and we truly love the work she does. Take a look at our 28 pound Pomeranian. Yes, you read right. He is what is considered a throw back. Before the Pom was tiny teacups this is what they looked like before Queen Victoria changed them forever. Can't believe I haven't reviewed Petsmart yet, so here we go! I've never used their grooming or vet services, so I can't speak on that, but I do shop here regularly. Several years ago I put one of my dogs through their puppy training classes and it was very useful. The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean. I'm tired of this happening. I have a senior dog with hip issues and their "policy" doesn't allow him to have his nails clipped lying down. I told them he cannot stand in that table and they try to do it anyway, and they said he was "thrashing" to get off the table because he was in pain. It's A 50/50 chance on whether they can clip his nails and they cannot deduct the price of a nail trim because it's "included" in the price. Very frustrating and discriminatory policy for senior or dogs with disabilities. read more

I will never take my dog here again. I set an appointment for 9am for a bath and a nail trim, and they estimated that it would take 2 hours. It ended up taking 4 hours, my dog spent nearly the entire time in a kennel in the back, and when I got her back, she was still wet and some of her nails were barely clipped. Unhappy. I took my dog to get groomed by Brooke and she did an awful job. She didn't bother trimming my bogs butt there are random clumps of hair that doesn't look like it was cut. Under her eyes were still very pink. I'd give her 1 star! I rate this 3 stars because savannah always does a great job! The store itself is pricey, although you can find good deals on sale sometimes and they do have a GREAT selection. NEVER use the grooming! Some of the groomers are OK, but I have seen groomers mistreat dogs right there in front of customers. Brought my labradoodle in to get a bath and service was sub par. when I get my dog back I expect everything that was promised to me after I pay. You get a little report card for you dog and while I was waiting in line to pay I noticed a section in there regarding dogs anal glands with an option of "yes, no, or N/A" and it was marked n/a. When I booked the bath, I assumed that was part of the package since the website clearly lists whats included in with the bath: Oxygen-infused bath with shampoo & blow dry 15-minute brushing Nail trim Ear cleaning, hair removal & flushing (if needed) Scissoring feet & pad shaving Sanitary trim Anal gland cleaning We asked about this after we paid and were told "we only do it if you request it." If its part of a package I wouldn't think I have to ask for it still. They made it right though and took my dog back and expressed the glands before we left. But when we get home I notice her feet have not been scissored, her paw pads have not been shaved and I also noticed her sanitary area has not been trimmed. We don't live close, we are about 30 mins out from this Petsmart so its incredibly inconvenient to go back just to have this fixed. When I pick her up I expect to get what I pay for and its frustrating when that doesn't happen. I'm not sure we will be back again. read more

We adopted a rescue beardie about 7 years ago. He passed away last year. My wife has been wanting to get me a new one, so we went to Petsmart. We spent nearly $200.00 in food new tank and dragon. We noticed after a few weeks she was not eating as well. In a two week period after that she has expired. We were feeding her properly caring for her properly. Petsmart sold us a sick beardi! The staff here recognize me as a regular, which means a lot to me. It means the staff are attentive, involved, and always helpful. Over the past months I've been trying to resocialize my Aussie to people so I can show him. The trainer was happy to oblige when I asked for her to greet him, even digging up treats. A certain male worker has previously asked me how many dogs I really do have, because I came into the store with three dogs, but only one was mine... and he noticed! I go almost every weekend and the store is well stocked. Staff smile at you if you're training your dog, and love to pet dogs. My only issue would be that PetSmart employees should really help people properly size prong collars, and I'm still u sure about the quality of the grooming. read more

Not only left it but looks like she attempted one side and then stopped. Hair all uneven. Neither dog smelled nor looked like they had been bathed. The grooming was an absolutely nightmare and the employees in there are horrendous! I got there 5 minutes early for my pups appt. they were rude and told me they weren't ready and to go walk around. I did. 10 minutes later I get a phone call from them saying I'm missing my appt. I said no you told me to walk around, I'll be there in a second. I get there and they still weren't ready. 30 minutes later after the actual appt. time they take my puppy back. I go to pick her up and her nails are so sharp and jagged, they only trimmed her butt and peepee area (when I asked if they trimmed the entire body and said yes before the appt. but after when I brought up that she didn't looked trimmed they said that I'd have to make an additional appt. for that), and her feet pads were choppy and still had hair coming through. To make a long story longer, I had to file her nails, trim her feet pads, and also trim her body myself. I'll never go back. The employees lie to get business and they did a horrible job. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else! read more

If you use the grooming services at this PetSmart be careful. We called to ask for a groomer that had experience with grooming Rough Coat Collies and was told although they didn't see many of that breed they would make our appointment with their most experienced groomer. When we picked our dog up much of her coat had been cut off which is not what you do when grooming this type of collie. I guess their most experienced groomer has never even received training on how to groom the breed. Needless to say we will Never take our dog to PetSmart again for grooming. read more

My best friend and I just relocated here from Hawaii, and brought our three dogs with us. When we went into the PetSmart in Murfreesboro, and went into the grooming room. A lady asked us if we had an appointment, and we stated that we read online that walk ins were welcome. She stated that they were very busy, and that they would not have time to trim nails on three small dogs today. Then, if not adding insult to Injury, the lady got smart with us, and ask if we had proof of rabies vaccinations (which I had with me). We explained that we had documents, and she again said that they were too busy with grooming to trims nails today. Being a Department Manager for a large company in Smyrna, I knew for a fact that this lady should not be talking to us this way, and decided to speak to the store manager. He was super nice, and apologized several times, and explained that the grooming jobs should have been placed on the side while our walk in nail trims were completed! Great device to the acting store manager! Great customer service. Those grooming ladies need to be promoted to customers! They should not be working with the public! Horrible first impression! Today I used the grooming service located in PetSmart. I have a mid-size furbaby that loves people. I was late to my appointment at 1230p by 20-25 minutes. If they had asked me to reschedule due to my being late, I would have. My Furbaby was to have shampoo and nail grinding with pads sanded. At 430pm I called bc I was told two hours. I spoke with a young lady who advised me that she was being shampooed and should be done in 30ish minutes. She was picked up about an hour later. Once we got home I noticed that she did not smell clean, nails and pads looked the same as they did before I took her. I have used this groomer 3x. The first time was wonderful!! Pricey, but we got good service. The second time, nails looked untouched but she was clean and smelled really good. This time, I am just so very disappointed. I've always thought these guys were robotic, but it was confirmed when I had the displeasure of speaking with one of the stone cold, heartless or rusty heart workers.
