This is after I saw my dog and told Petsmart they needed to fix her hair
TaRonda S.

The store is great, it's like a Walmart for pet's. Now I don't know anybody getting their hair done at the Walmart salon for some odd reason...and I feel the same about the per smart groomers. I've given pet smart multiple chances with my dog at multiple locations and I've been very disappointed each and every time.

My doggo is a regular at the doggy day camp. My most recent visit had Antonio checking us in. He remembered my dog's name, and was super excited to see her. He was extremely sweet and helpful and super gracious when my brain glitched. He asked me a question about her food and I literally forgot what words were. Antonio and his cohorts always make me feel valued and welcome.

The Doggy Day Camp at PetSmart on N.5th us great! They took care of our two timid Bernese Mtn Dog/Springer Spaniel/Australian Sherpherd mix sisters. The staff have taught them to come out of their shells and show off their personalities. They fur kids have made new dog friends. The staff is incredible there and are very loving of our dogs. We bring them snacks so they have throughout their day because they too are thoughtful when we drop off and pick up our two fur kids. On special theme days we get amazing and funny photos which I will attach Your fur kids will be in AMAZING hands. Thank you all at PetSmart on N. 5th! Also, check out their reviews on Google

Honestly the store itself is absolutely great, I love the front of house staff. Always ask how I'm doing and will assist when needing help. The issue is the grooming area... We took our sweet boy in for his first ever haircut and it all went horribly wrong. The second we walked in we got told that we don't know how to brush his hair properly.. Then they decide to tell me my dog is a golden doodle not a cavapoo. I honestly was in shock by the amount of disrespect these lady's got. In the end his first haircut was a disaster and he definitely looks like he stuck a fork into an electric socket. Definitely not welcoming for a puppy.

Lack of cleanliness/unsanitary

I have a dog and 2 cats and I love PetSmart for all their food and supplies, however whoever is the district manager or corporate manager in charge is doing a poor job with checking in with this Nth 5th location. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with this women's bathroom all the time. Please get someone to take care of this, especially after COVID this is a shame that the bathroom is in this condition. I've lived in this side of town since 2018 but I will go out of my way to use a different store when I can or will order off of Chewy when I get coupons because I can't trust this location due it's lack of cleanliness.

I love this PetSmart. They are always so helpful and willing to answer questions if you have any regarding anything in the store. The store is always stocked and well organized. My Giovanni has really bad allergies so he needs specific dog food and they always have it there.

Tired after playing.

My little dog Willow just spent 25 days with her while we were out of town for a summer vacation and I just cannot say enough good things about Rhonda! I was incredibly anxious about leaving my dog because we rescued her less than a year ago, she has a lot of anxiety and fear, and we'd never left her before. I actually cried when I dropped her off! Rhonda was so caring and loving - she totally understood my difficulty and assured me that Willow would be okay. She kept in touch with me the whole time, sending lots of adorable photos and videos. Willow actually blossomed while she was there. She became more socialized with both other dogs and her new human friends. She's a new dog! Rhonda even bathed her before I picked her up so she was smelling sweet. I will never take Willow anywhere else for boarding, and I will recommend Rhonda to all my pet-owning friends!! THANK YOU RHONDA!!! Check out my photos - there's Willow's first day, and the other one is just four days later. Look at how transformed Willow became in just a few days! Rhonda is truly gifted. Your pets could not be in better hands.

5 Stars - Thank You, Stephy!…read more My boyfriend and I were shopping around for a good dog trainer for our pitbull puppy when we came across BarxParx and found Stephy--and we're so glad we did! Stephy is absolutely amazing at what she does. She's incredibly knowledgeable in her field and made the entire experience both fun and educational. Over the course of six weeks, we saw such a positive transformation in our puppy, Moose. The group class was small and intimate, which made it easy for both of us to be involved in the training process. What we really appreciated is that Stephy wasn't just training our puppy she was also teaching us about puppy behavior, communication, and how to be better dog parents. She was so patient with us (and Moose!) every step of the way. Moose genuinely looked forward to going to class every week, which says a lot. Thank you so much, Stephy, for everything. You've helped us lay the foundation for a well-behaved, happy pup, and we couldn't be more grateful!

I was about to buy the puppy classes but then I met the trainer Stephy/Stephanie and decided not to. In our first 30 minute convo she spoke for 20 mins. My second question to her was simply "are you the trainer who supervises indoor dog park" She told me no and then spoke for 10-15 minutes about the differences between her and the other trainer. She talks a lot about going to college for dog training and how other trainers are simply not as good as her. I would expect her to ask a little more questions so it felt like more of a consultation. I also felt like she didn't understand boundaries. She kept contacting me about vet records even though I explained it was a holiday. I mentioned that twice. Despite that she moved with her own urgency until I had to tell her there was no rush on our end. I also asked a question on another day and asked her to text or send a voice note. She did for a couple of exchanges but then called me anyway. And when I explained I couldn't absorb the info during a call she said "well I wanted to call you so you could learn about dogs" But she never asked me what training experience I had in the first place ‍‍‍ Anyways, not for me but the general concept is cool considering how hot it is.

The staff does an incredible job caring for and watching over our dogs--they truly take pride in what they do. We've tried other doggie daycares in the past, and this one has been by far the best. Our pups are naturally very nervous and not big fans of people, but the team here has consistently gone above and beyond to build trust with them. Because of that patience and care, our dogs now look forward to their camp days, and we love being able to see them playing on the cameras. I feel completely comfortable recommending this place as a safe and caring environment for your pup. I know how difficult it can be to leave your babies in someone else's care, and this team truly puts our minds at ease. We genuinely enjoy this place and will continue to use their services.

I'm a bit iffy on this place. Why? So I have been to a few of the daycares around town. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.

5 paws up for Dawgs House!…read more This is one of my favorite dog daycares that I have tried in my 20+ years of having dogs. The staff is incredible - offering care that caters to your pup and works hard to keep the dogs happy all day. The facility is small, and that's part of what I love about it. My overly energetic dog gets hyped pretty easily, but they do a great job keeping the vibe calm and fun. Got to meet the owner and the whole team and honestly, everyone cares so much about the well being of the dogs. I will absolutely return to Dawgs House and recommend it for anyone who's been looking for the right spot.

I called them up to inquire about a facility tour and Faith pleasantly set our appointment for a complimentary facility tour. The day of our appointment arrived and upon entering the lobby door, owner Alice was right there to greet us. The facility is extremely clean, modern, and well thought out. The owners truly took the time to create a comfortable, safe, secure, and efficient daycare for the furry family members. I love that their focus is more about quality than quantity. We ended up scheduling our little dog's complimentary assessment for the next day. From the moment our little dog walked into the lobby she was treated with such wonderful and attentive care. We said our "see you in a bit", left and we greatly appreciated the ability to peek in on her via the daycare camera that's only available to registered clients privately. Let me tell you, the level of such tender, loving, and patient care our sweet senior received was phenomenal. They truly took the time to get to know our little girl and ensure her first visit was a positive one. Alice, thank you so much for taking the time and giving us a tour and answering all our questions. Thank you to everyone that's part of the team who provided us with exceptional customer service (and our little dog with such loving care) as well. This discerning dog momma is so happy to have found you and looks forward to continuing to visit for doggy daycare.

What I appreciated most were the updates, pictures, and communication throughout his stay, something many boarding facilities don't provide. We recently brought our pup Beary to Buddies on a recent trip out to Vegas and I gotta say, we were…read moreso happy with our decision to board him there! Originally, we had a reservation back home with our normal pet resort, but didn't want to be away from Beary for so long; We often have to drop him off a day before our trip and don't pick him up again until the day after we get back, so that's an extra two days without the little guy (and two extra days of boarding to boot). So we looked into the possibility of boarding him close to our hotel while we were in town. A family member sent us a recommendation to go to Buddies and my wife reached out to ask about vacancy for the weekend and the owners got back to us right away to let us know they would be able to take him in and walked her through the process of submitting all the necessary documentation and clearing him to stay. Our little guy is not fixed yet, so unfortunately, he was unable to be group boarded (which is typcial). Check-in was a breeze, and He had a nice large play area to have all to himself and was boarded in a private suite. They also took him out for a walk twice a day while he was there, as well as playtime with the staff constantly. What was really awesome was that they would send us pics of him during his walks, playtime, and before bedtime. It was really awesome to get the periodic updates...which really put us (especially the kids) at ease. And it was really reassuring to know he was close by to us. Staff was super nice and friendly. The consistent updates really made an enormous difference for us. Our usual resort does not do that...so that put them way above. They seemed to genuinely enjoy Beary's company. We would DEFINITELY bring him back here again on future trips (and that is more often than not) and I wish they were located close to home...or that we lived in Vegas so we could bring him more often...wishful thinking =p
