Beautiful fish and tank purchased at PETCO instead! We named it Anxiety...

Drove to this location as we were told they have more fish then others, now I know why! The employee that serviced us refused to sell us a fish because we didn't meet her criteria to purchase a fish! I told her we had a starter kit of 1.5 gallon and she literally said no to all the fish! We asked her how about the beta fish in those 8 ounce cups she said those are fine but I'm not recommending it you need a 10 gallon tank for betas. Idk what's going on with that employee but we have always purchased our beginners fish at petsmart for our preteens. I'm disappointed we got treated so poorly instead of helping us ,we drove 10 miles to get a bad attitude! Btw the reason they have so many fishes is because the employee is attached to them and refuses to sell them! I definitely took my $100 purchase to Petco! Pic of my PETCO FISH :)

The PetSmart grooming team at Lake Pleasant are the best! I wanted to change my bath and brush to a full cut with Furminator at the last minute, and they fully accommodated me. My dog Sophie has always been bad with nail trims and when she wouldn't let them grind her nails, they took off the extra charge. Top level customer service! It was my first time getting the Furminator treatment and it made a huge difference. It's like a whole layer of my dog is gone, in a good way! 10/10, would recommend for anyone with a dog that sheds heavily.

Bites my dog received at PetSmart Doggy Day camp

My dog went to doggy daycare for 8 years. He got bit once & I asked to see the video & they ignored my request. He got bit recently & they said a dog got jealous because he jumped up on one of the employees & went after my dog. They called & took him to the vet & said he had two bites. They told me it was one bite. That dog must have had a large mouth. When he got home he had a huge bite on his back shoulder which they & the vet missed. They say you can sign on to see videos of the rooms but I've never been able to get it to work. When I asked them to see the video of the incident they said they'd have to check with management & get back to me. They never did so I called & they said their attorneys would have to approve me viewing the video of the incident. Still never heard back. They say you can sign on to see your dog and yet if your dog gets bit you can't view the video. My dog loved going there for 8+ years but I'll never bring him there again. Also in several occasions an employee, Tara, said Toby was dirty & must have been hiking. It was 110 degrees & we don't hike in the Summer. He was very clean as he swims in our pool 1-2 times a day. These comments continued on several occasions. I was offended by her comments as my dog is my pride & joy & I'd never let him get dirty or not manicured. The customer service was so good when I first started bringing my dog there. The last 2 years have been terrible. You wait forever for someone to come to the desk to check your dog in and/or out. I got lectured once because I pushed the button to request an employee twice. Nothing happened the first time so I pressed the button again.

I try not to go to PetSmart because it's overpriced and service is horrible, but I was nearby and needed some things for my son's Guinea Pig. Once I found what I needed I went to the counter. There was no one to be found. Waited a few minutes and two employees walked by, didn't stop to say anything just looked and said where's so and so which I'm guessing was who was supposed to be running the register. Soon another customer came up behind me. The girl working the register finally came up, didn't apologize just started to ring me up, um ok lol. I'll definitely go back to Tractor Supply or the local pet store nearby.

Freshly groomed and cool as a cucumber

Took my golden retriever here for a basic wash/deshedding/nails but was hesitant to ask for any kind of haircut because I've heard so many golden retriever owners talk about groomers who don't know how to properly trim Goldens. Jennifer was our assigned groomer and she asked if I wanted his feathers thinned and just overall cleanup. When I expressed my concern she kindly assured me she knew how to groom Goldens correctly in a manner that I knew she was experienced. I just picked my pup up and he looks so good! Jennifer was busy grooming another dog when I arrived but she let me know what a good boy he was (since it was his first time there and can get nervous & excitable in new situations, I'm glad to know he was good for her). He is calm and happy, looks the best he's ever looked and so handsome! Jennifer is going to be my go-to gal for grooming. Very pleased and relieved!

If I could rate this petsmart negative stars, I would. Today I took my dog into petsmart for his grooming appointment. All went well, had my sister pick up my dog, just to get home and see a chunk missing out of his nose... Danielle was his groomer and she did not mentioned the chunk she took out of his nose.. This is dog abuse and the most unprofessional treatment I have ever received for my poor pup. Also, he wasn't walking on his right paw and when I touched it, he yelped. I regret taking him here to suffer at the hands of these idiots that clearly can't do their jobs right. The sad part is I even made sure my sister tipped her good. Go to Petco, I'm sure you won't have employees abusing your dog. I'm just curious as to why I wouldn't receive a call about my dog being hurt? It baffles my mind that they don't give a shit about your dog getting an infection from this type of wound or at least having the decency to give you a call.

    Thank you Joey!

    Every Doggie Has Its Daycare

    (85 reviews)

I did a search online looking for a local dog daycare for my mom's German Shepherd. This was the…read moreclosest one I could find to her. It's located in Peoria, AZ which is northwest of Phoenix. It is near Bell Road and the 101 making it accessible for people like me traveling from nearby cities. The facility is in an industrial type zone. The building is sort of a large warehouse that is shared by several businesses. The backside has large garage type doors. I only know this because Google Maps led me to the back (south side) of the building initially. The map has been updated to hopefully prevent others from getting lost looking for the entrance which is on the northeast corner of the building. Every Doggie Has Its Daycare has applications online that you can download, print, and complete. The information provided online makes it easy for you to prepare for your first appointment. You'll need the latest copy of your dog's vaccination records including Bordetella. Plus, you will need the paperwork showing that your pet was spayed or neutered. Even though my dog has a tattoo indicating that she was spayed, the paperwork was required. I appreciate that the business has high standards and requests these records. It lets me know that patrons of the business care for their dogs and that my dog will be in a healthy and safe environment. Before allowing your dog to use their services, you will need to schedule a free, 3-hour temperament test. This allows the staff to assess your dog's energy level and comparability with other dogs. Based on this, your dog will be paired accordingly for future play groups. Please note, some dog breeds are not allowed due to insurance policies of the business. While the facility does not offer a webcam remotely or on site, the staff do actively take and post photos of the dogs on the business Instagram and Facebook pages. They post pictures pretty much every hour and try to capture every new dog entering the facility during that hour. Once your paperwork is in order, the temperament test has been completed, and your dog has been approved for services, you can start bringing them to daycare or make appointments for boarding services. Daycare doesn't require advanced bookings. I love that you can bring your dogs in and drop them off at the spur of the moment for a half or full day of play. This is so convenient for those days when you have extra work or maybe aren't feeling well enough to give your dog the exercise and attention he or she needs. My dog needs socialization on a weekly basis. She hangs out with humans daily all day, but benefits from the play and mental stimulation she gets from daycare. She always comes home relaxed and tired from her time at the facility. The facility is temperature controlled so your dog can safely enjoy play during the hot summer and cooler winter days. They do have access to an outdoor area too. It has high walls, so there is no chance of escape. You can pre-purchase packages of half day or full day passes to daycare. So far, I have just been paying as I go which is also acceptable. It's about a $40 saving if you buy the package, but you have to use it within 90 days. They take all credit cards. It's important to note that late pickups will be charged $1 per minute! That's a good incentive to make sure you arrive before they close at 7pm during the weekdays to collect your dog from daycare. I've booked a boarding reservation during the holidays. There is a deposit required during this time period because of the increased demand for services. They ask that you bring your dog's food measured out for each meal in ziplock bags. They provide everything else your dog needs for the overnight stay, but you are welcome to bring your dog's bed or blanket that provides familiar smells and will help your dog adjust easier. Also included in boarding is daycare. There is no extra charge for this ensuring your dog gets lots of exercise during the day so she can get a good night of sleep too. I'm delighted that I found this business. The staff have been super friendly in-person and on the phone. Their website has detailed information so you can get your questions answered, but call or stop by if you need additional information. I'm certain you will get the details you need and feel assured in your decision to leave your furry family member in their care.

The facility was conveniently located near the venue where I needed to be, and I only required my dog to be cared for one day. I was informed that I would receive pictures of my dog during his stay. After registering for the app, I checked throughout the night but did not receive any photos. Concerns During Pickup; While the lack of pictures was disappointing, what truly frustrated me was the condition of my dog upon pickup. He had urinated on his blanket. Although my dog is not perfect, I am familiar with his behaviors--he consistently holds his urine until he is let outside and will whimper to signal his needs. It was clear that he was not let out before bedtime or during the night, which led him to urinate in his bed. This issue was not addressed until shortly before I arrived to pick him up at 10:00 AM. His Bedding was provided to me in a a double garbage bag with his soaking wet blanket. Water Availability; Another major issue was the apparent lack of water in his cage. Before drop-off, I ensured my dog was hydrated, took him to the bathroom, and prepared him for his stay. When I picked him up the next morning, he immediately drank two bottles of water and tried to ask for more. I had to wait before giving him additional water to prevent him from getting sick. Overall Impression; I am extremely disappointed with the experience and do not plan to return to Paddock's Paws. After speaking with Ashland, the manager, I believed the facility would be a good fit for my dog. However, ignoring an animal's needs while being paid for care is unacceptable. I paid $79 for him to stay overnight without water or bathroom breaks, which is not the level of care I expected. A very displeased former one-time customer.

His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me.
