I had two appointments at PETSMART in Sunrise. My dog had a rabies shot the morning of the appointment and was informed later at the store that I had to wait 48 hours before grooming. Not a problem but I should have been advised of that prior to the appointment. The appointment was rescheduled online for the following week for 12pm on Thursday and I received an appt. confirmation from PETSMART. I arrived at the store at 11:45am and was told that the groomer would not be there until 12:30pm and I had to wait 45 minutes. The receptionist didn't seem to care that I had a confirmed appt. Rudeness doesn't work with me and I left the store at 11:50am.The receptionist didn't even try to offer an apology for the inconvenience as she didn't care. There are to many other groomers in the area to put up with being inconvenienced twice by PETSMART. read more

But they insist on asking the same questions. They did not clip her nails back far enough last time so she fractured her toe nail running. She had to be on antibiotics and pain killers for a week. I had my standard poodle groomed at the Pet Smart on South Dixie Hwy in Miami, Florida today. I was so impressed with the service. I was able to get an appointment for the next day. I liked the fact that they wanted to see her vaccination records as I keep her up to date and don't really want her around other dogs that aren't. My groomer was Kleyder, he paid close attention to what I said about how I wanted Ruby groomed and was very kind to her and me. He did an excellent job on her!! And I feel the price was very reasonable. I am traveling, but will definitely go back there if I am ever staying in this area again. read more

I have been going to the PetSmart on Wadsworth and Crestline in Littleton Colorado for the past 14 years having my dogs nails trimmed. I had a terrible experience yesterday with a girl named Ashton that was not only rude on the phone but again when I got there with my dog. I've always been happy with there services in the past but this girl did a terrible job and had someone else redo my dogs nails. I will not go back to this store again if this girl is working. My Schnauzer Bruno looked so cute after I got him groomed here! I was super nervous, his cuts almost always come out weird cause of his hair type. I walked in and everyone was very friendly. Tess, the lady who groomed him, did a really awesome job though. Good price, they filed his nails, used flea and tick shampoo, conditioner and brushed his teeth for around 60 bucks. Stay away from the groomers!!! We took our Maltese twice before today, no issues. Today, someone finished grooming Charlie and did not pay attention, was absolutely careless and completely took off all the hair on our beautiful Maltese. Her excuse? She made a mistake on the paper she grabbed for him. Mind you, his name is on his collar. Just double checking the collar and the paper would have saved us the heartache of watching our little dog with barely any hair left. Manager came to talk to me, they did not charge us. I have taken my dog to Petsmart since she was 8 weeks old. She is now 8 years old, and this is the first time I have ever had a problem. When I made the appointment, they advised me that they needed the papers to update her rabies shot. I was unable to find the document, and yes her shots are updated. I explained that I cannot take her during the week, but I can get the document at the beginning of the week. I proceeded to ask if I can still bring her in. Instead of rationally explaining her answer, she told me no (with attitude)! After speaking with the manager, we were allowed to bring her in. I was holding my dog, waiting to drop her off and the lady said "you will have to wait" (with attitude). The other lady was nice when I picked my dog off. However, my dog didn't smell as fresh as she usually does when I pick her up from there. I am really disappointed, and sad that I have to write this review. Ioathe the lack of attention the reptiles, birds & rodents get. They are not knowledgable about these critters & offer little advice to the customers buying them. The rodents are crammed in bunches in small cages so they fight & are injured quite often. Finding staff to purchase the animals is a task in itself. I made an appointment weeks in advance for 10am on February 25 for a bath and full haircut. The store decided to call me one hour before my dog's appointment and tell me that the groomer (Hilda G.) was not there that day and that my appointment was being cancelled. They told me that the groomer called in sick/family emergency. This is the fifth time that this store has cancelled a grooming appointment for my dog. The first few times I did not get mad but now it's getting out of control. I called them and told them my situation, and they said that there is nothing that they can do, even though I made an appointment weeks in advance. I called customer service to try and get help, and they ended up being able to get me a bath and brush at that location for the same day. They also told me that Hilda does not even work for the company anymore. I have waited weeks to get my dog a haircut and I can tell that she wants one too, but the employees are completely careless about our needs. read more

My mother called to book an appointment here for her dog. Not once did they tell her they needed the paper stating her dog was up to date on her rabies vaccine. (They wouldn't use the tag) I go to take the dog in and for one they all get quiet and just look at me. Someone finally walks up and asks me to put a different leash on her, then asks for the paperwork. Now I understand a policy is a policy, but how you handle it is another. The fact that first of all my arm is in a cast and I was struggling to get a leash on her and NOONE offered to help and then secondly, refused to see our dog. Again, I understand policies but not once was an apology given. The fact that I wasted time and gas. A simple apology goes a long way...or how about the employees let the customer know their policy over the phone! My mom will never come back. I have had good experiences in the past with PetSmart, but the last several experiences have not been good. The most recent one was pretty horrible. The groomer was a trainee (I was not informed of this prior to the grooming). She scraped my little Shih Tzu's tummy and other parts, with one area ending up bleeding, and it took six days for it to heal. I would apply an ointment to the scraped area and hold her until I felt it had had time to be effective, then wash it off so she wouldn't lick it. This was an alternative to making her deal with a cone around her head. Additionally, the haircut was awful, with tufts sticking out in more than one place. A grooming manager monitored this, but apparently didn't stay with the trainee the entire time. When I spoke with the manager I received an apology and excuses. The entire procedure cost me $95, as I had requested extra services, and had included a tip before I had had a chance to examine my little dog. read more

Took my teddy bear husky in to be groomed after the long hiatus of Corona. My pup had been here one other time but was told she only had a distaste for the dryer. Come to see my lovable dog TERRIFIED to be back there when they attempted to put this stupid red leash around her neck. She saw this leash and had a panic attack. Urinated on the floor as she tried to hide behind me and not go. I comfort my dog into this said stupid leash. Drop her off as she still attempts to come back with me. I leave and my wife gets an alarming call about how my dog was washed twice and she defecated all over herself twice?? I should have been informed of the instant the first time it happened. (allegedly since these are idiots we're talking about) After a long drawn out and rambled story to my wife. I rush back to find my girl dripping wet and with the saddest face you can receive from a dog. And they had the audacity to charge me for a "bath" and "brushing" when in actuality they got paid to spray my dog in the face and stress her out and more than likely discipline her while she was back there. My wife calls the idiot manager, whom like his idiot staff, gave little to no care about my incident. Blamed my dog for the experience and blatantly hung up on my wife. If you love your animals, take them somewhere where they'll love your animals right back. Not do god knows what to them behind closed doors. Closing this store, and every other location is probably the most beneficial thing that could happen to us. read more

I tried to order merchandise online today. The website crashes constantly, a paw shows on screen after selecting a product then a picture of a dog, stating something went wrong "oops". This is when I should have realized I should have backed out and discontinued my order. Then when you actually THINK that everything is working and place the order, it says "oops" again and states your card isn't correct. So you re-enter the card to come across "oops" again... I thought it best to call my bank where in turn they assured me that the amount of my order was on hold twice!!! I called customer service, and was told there was nothing they could do, I can wait 3 to 5 days for the money to be released back into my bank account, it happens to many customers, and they suggested I use another card!! Wtf?!!! Seriously??!! Why would I do that when you already have $200 of mine tied up?!!! Uh NO THANKS!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! NEGATIVE STARS!! read more

I am also not impress with the cocker cut too! A cocker cut would mean a rounded crown on her head, shaved back and leaving longer fur for her undercoat and 4 paws. My little one's head was absolutely not rounded and the groomer even missed cutting the fur on her forehead and her lashes! She still had her centre parting on her forehead (which means that her fur is too long) when I collected her! Her paws had uneven cut. I had to recut her by myself! It is stated in the receipt that it is done by premium groomer. Premium groomer? In question. I've been to the other petsmart and they are much better than this one. Petsmart grooming in Plantation is horrible with bad customer service. It is a hit or miss if your pet comes home smelling clean. The manager Laura in this location also racially profile customers. I brought my dog in for a redo bath because he was not smelling clean when they originally did it and she said they cant give out free baths as if I did not pay to get it done properly the first time. She had a terrible attitude and condescending tone and even told me I might have to bring my dog elsewhere. Horrible customer service and by the way I was a customer for 2 years and she treated me poorly and disrespectfully assuming that I want free baths even though the job was not done properly. I have seen other customers of different skin tones being handled differently here when they are dissatisfied with the service but she had the nerve to tell me that I want the bath for free when I was not satisfied. My daughter & I went on Black Friday, today, to get a big fish tank, stand and everything to go in it - the total amount for everything would have come to almost $500 after the sale prices. The tank/stand setup was marked from $350 to $175. We spent almost 2 hours in there, one of the associates helped us extensively - he was very knowledgeable and nice. The cashier was also very nice and helpful. While checking out, the tank/stand did not mark down - it was coming up full price. The Manager came over and was super rude, he said it wasn't on sale and said it wasn't marked down. We told him numerous times that the associate who had helped us verbally told us it was $175 and he still said it wasn't marked down. I also said to the cashier that everything on that shelf had a Black Friday mark down tag on it & she said "I know." While we were shopping, the associate that helped us came by and started taking all the Black Friday tags off, he said he was asked to take them off before he left, which is fine, but then the Manager refused to give us the Black Friday price. I also told the Manager that I had said to the cashier that all the tags on that shelf had Black Friday prices & that she had said "I know" - to which he finally said that even if it was marked down that we couldn't get the price because it wasn't supposed to be marked down. He was super rude and didn't care one bit that we spent all that time in there and were going to spend almost $500. Not to mention, that's where my daughter got her other 2 fish tank setups & regularly goes to get her fish supplies. We will not be going to Petsmart anymore. We used to live in NY & there was a really bad flood that killed almost all the pets at the Petsmart there - one of the employees went to try to get the animals out but couldn't get in - because guess what, Petsmart did not care enough to try to get them out - it was all over the news, look it up - Johnson City, NY. We figured that maybe it was a one time terrible thing that happened, regardless of what the news said, so we started going there again here in Delaware, Dover store - apparently that is not the case - terrible management in multiple stores. This company is not worth giving another chance to. I just hope the 2 employees that helped us don't get in trouble, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did. read more

I have been taking my dog to get groomed at this particular PetSmart every month for three years. Today when I brought my dog to get groomed for my scheduled appointment that I made online, the manager Delene told me that I would have to pay $11 extra and that I would have to wait in the store for my dog to get groomed. Delene stated that since my dog has epilepsy she considered a high risk. I told her that I have never had to do this before and she simply shrugged me off. I tried to explain that my dog has 2-3 seizures per year during her sleep. What horrible customer service. This all stemmed from another groomer at PetSmart, Michelle, not minding her busy and told my groomer to call the manager when I shared that yes my dog has seizures. I brought my new dog in for grooming at the Fayetteville location. This is my second time visiting this site and probably my last. The first time I brought my dog in for grooming, I actually had to bring him back 2 days later because I noticed he had all types of different lengths on his body where the groomer rushed through his cut and she actually had to recut him. Yesterday I gave it a try with a different groomer and she managed to loose($25 worth of his personal belongings) his leather chrome/pewter collar and name tag! When I dropped my dog "Albi" off, Katie took off his harness and leash and handed it to me, his collar remained. I left it on at the time with no worries because I assumed she would put it back on him-that did not happen. I also found it odd that I paid for a "top dog grooming" and he came out without absolutely anything around his neck not even a bandana. I drive back to the location and although another worker who had no contact with my dog tried to search the stations; the actual person who groomed him made no effort to come to talk to me or offer assistance. I spoke with the manager of the store and she passed the buck back to the grooming manager and I'm still waiting for a response. Long story short, I'm about to switch to Petco and see if someone else respects my dollar and dogs belongings. read more

I give 1 star because the Grooming salon at SW Plaza is AMAZING!!!!!! Worth the drive!! DO NOT and I say DO NOT go the the petsmart off of University and C4-70 to have your pet groomed. In fact, I may just forfeit even walking into the store ever again! I dropped my dog off at this groomers at 5pm and was told that if I did not hear from them by 830 to head up to the store as they would be closing soon and took my dog and went to the back with NO discussion as to what he needed done. I had to grab someone and initiate that conversation. (that should have been my 1st cue that things were off) I walked into the store and noticed that my baby boy was still being worked on, so proceeded to check out to pay. Once I aid me and my daughter walked around the store a bit and decided to check in on Bodhi, I had to be very careful that he didnt see me and what I saw made me SO angry. She had a hold of his ear so tight and was brushing so hard he was whimpering... We were done! I walked in and said we are done please, the staff proceeded to tell me how he took SO long because he crapped himself in the kennel and they had to rewash him, all while seeming incredibly irritated with my dog. I called the next day and spoke with the store manager just to let her know what my experience was and we would not be going back. She was so kind and the end result was he was to be with a vetted groomer and it would be and express in and out service. She really wanted to make it right. This was back in Feb. mind you. So 2hrs before his appt I get a call telling me that we needed to move Bodhis appointment and they didnt know when to, but his groomer was off for the day and she would have to call me in a couple days. I asked to speak to the manager of the salon, and she was VERY rude and seemed overworked and irritated that I had any questions regarding what had happened. I ended up calling the store manager who was out on vacation, so I spoke the assistant manager whom also seemed genuinely concerned and said she would have the store manager call when she returns on Monday. It is now Thursday and I have had NO calls. I understand we are in a pandemic rt now and stuff happens, but customer service is lacking at this place and there is no care for your pets well being either. I demanded them immediately. My poor dogs were in a cage, without food and be able to go to the bathroom or move like they are used to. that is animal cruelty. I wish I could write a review with 0 stars for this location and for PAM. I have been here twice for actual grooming services and the third time I had to walk out. The first time I went they forgot to shave my dogs tail although I asked for it to be shaved the second time they clipped her nails even though I explicitly said I do not like for her nails to be clipped because some groomers go too short. This third time I made an appointment for 10am, I was in there at 9:50am I wasn't checked in until 10:35am while a man who came in after me who started a fuss without an appointment was taken in with two dogs by the groomer who was supposed to take my dog in. I was told to wait for her to check me in, meanwhile she goes to the back with thelt he two dogs to start their haircut. I asked if my dog would be put in the kennel until she was seen, they said "yes". I told them I'd rather not have my dog sitting in the back all day while she attended to two dogs who came in after us. I inquired about the reason why they would even have an appointment system in place and I was told they check in 3-4 dogs for the same time and that my dog would probably see the table to be groomed at 1pm. This makes no sense to me because I love my dog enough to not leave her in a place where the groomers have an attitude about doing their job and have her in an unfamiliar crate cold and scared. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE. I have never had this problem when I went to the Lauderhill location, plantation just happened to be closer but I will definitely make the trip to Lauderhill instead. I want to have my cat groomed. I called Petsmart 2 months ago to make an appointment. They said I had to call Mon-Thurs between 11 and 5 because those are the hours the car groomer is there. I have called five times over the past two months during those hours and for some reason, no matter what random day or time in that range I call, the cat groomer is never there. Today I call and she is off. I said how annoying it was because I kept calling and nobody ever wants to help and the guy says, "Yeah well this is her last week anyway so starting next week we won't be grooming cats anyway." WTF? Had I not said I was annoyed about calling so many times, he wouldn't have even mentioned it. I said, "Then just schedule me for whenever you can this week." He says, "Did you cat have a recent rabies shot?" I said no because my cat is an indoor animal and the only one I have. Well, even though I have been trying to make an appointment for two months, this is the first time they've bothered to mention that I have to get a rabies shot for her. Don't even bother... they can't schedule or give you requirements despite your best effort to make an appointment. My 2 year old likes looking at their cats and birds, though. I used to go to this place over the past 4 years for my small terrier dog's grooming. Today, like what I used to do in the past, I called in the morning, the lady who does the grooming every time was not available but since I was getting ready for a party in my place, I arranged an appointment at 5:30 p.m. with a new groomer (Sharon). I drove about 20 minutes, and when I got there, after the wait in the front, as I mentioned that I've brought my dog for a haircut, she yield at me that she doesn't have time! And I should've been there at 5:00 p.m.!! I was shocked for a few seconds. I showed her the text message from Petsmart that my appointment was set for 5:30 p.m. she yield that they want to close at 9 p.m., and they need at least four hours to do the job. And I was like, hey not my fault; "you should've not arranged the appointment for 5:30 p.m. when you have such like constraint" I said. She started going through my dog's hair (trying to find an excuse not to do the job) and arguing with me that you dog is matted - my dog had "very small" matted area on his legs - and I will not have time, to comb the dog, and do the grooming. She brought her manager, Sarah. The manager was not accommodating, and arguing that I should've told them that my dog is matted when I was arranging the appointment. I was surprised and said I've been here with the same condition over the past four years, and have never had such an arguments, and difficulties. Finally, they were like go do whatever you want to do we don't care!! As a conclusion, they gave me a wrong appointment time and instead of accommodating for their mistake, they started to find excuses in a very rude manner - terrible costumer service!! read more

I wish I could actually post a review without selecting a star, because they truly don't deserve not even one out of five. This was absolutely positively the worst and most horrible customer service experience of my entire life. These people in the grooming salon have no business working in a position that requires face to face interaction with the public. I am now concerned about how they actually treat and care for the animals left in their care. Both regular staff members and management are rude and nasty alike. One particular girl there was blatantly rude and clearly hates and does not respect her job. When I questioned an invoice for my dog's services, she rudely responded telling me that I did not need to get that upset. How dare you tell me how to feel or react. She argued with me back and forth and when I told her she was extremely rude and delivered very poor customer service. I proceeded to ask for her name and for someone in charge. As I continued to comment on how poorly I was being treated and stated that I will never come there again she had the nerve to say "oh that's fine." Never has any other representative from any other company been so blatantly rude and disrespectful. When the manager entered she was not much better. All the other employees still there none of them did anything to make the situation better. I have been going there for 4years with little issues with setting appointments etc in the past but I continued to there because it's really close to my home and convenient but never again. If their employees one the front line do not care to attract and keep customers then I would much rather take my business elsewhere. read more
