Even worse, we saw a flea crawling on him when he came home. We treat every month and know he picked them up there! His razor burn in not one but TWO spots show the carelessness! I wish I would have seen the horrible reviews about the grooming salon. Every word is true. Made me feel stupid, like I've never gotten my havanese groomed before. Refused to just trim him said I had to shave him because it's cruel to him. Then charged me $76 for it!!!! She was a huge B. Rude to me and made me feel like a horrible pet owner, which is crazy. This is a new PetSmart and my dog Mea's first visit. It actually was accidentally booked for grooming, I normally go to the one in Bella Terra. So just be aware there are now two in Richmond,Tx and this one is Aliana Richmond, Tx. When I first picked up Mea I was a little surprised at how short the cut was but they did follow my directions and now I love it. They took good care of Mea (she is a little scared of all PetSmart's) Something happened when she was a puppy to cause this but it was not this location. So most important to me is how they treat Mea. The groomer asked great questions to get the cut right and was very professional with myself and more importantly genuine with Mea. I would definitely recommend this location and I am taking her for a repeat visit today read more

Good afternoon. This message is for the Petsmart located at: 5574 West Grand Parkway S. Richmond, TX 77406 This is my review of your Grooming Services. I will never return. The people working in Grooming are unprofessional, rude and have no regard to customer service. Several months ago I had a discussion with one of the groomers about pricing, it seems like every time I went it got more expensive and they always wanted to charge for more stuff. On the last occasion they were not careful and after grooming my dog scratched his eyes while in their custody to the point where Banfield had to take care of him. He almost tore his cornea due to the itching. After several weeks of treatment and many visits back to the vet my dog was finally OK. Almost a year later I called out of desperation for grooming cause everything else was packed, just to figure out that I was on some sort of list and they could not take my pet. They claim that they could not because I was not satisfied with their pricing. So the message is, if you let them know you are not happy, they will not take you back. I would love to hear back from the store manager on their customer service policies. read more

When I walked in everyone was sitting around at their stations, some on top of their stations ... One groomer had her own dog there, whom kept scratching itself which made me worry about if possibly having fleas... I asked for my dogs face & legs to be trimmed... I've gotten this same service done 2x previously (at another location) and was charged $6. This time it was $21. The lady scheduling me was rude, and when she couldn't get a hold of Banfield she said she could to take me unless she had rabies info. I told her I've been to other locations & she turns around & asks if anyone knows how to look up a customer. -_- no one did, so I volunteered to walk across the store (which the groomers normally offer & are happy to do). I came back with rabies info & they took her. I asked how long & was told 15 min, I walked out then walked right back in & they were talking crap about me; saying why would I think it was an hour appt... They were all shocked to see me standing there again. Whatever, I stood near by to watch and could tell the lady is not a animal lover; all of the groomers were cold & dry. Not the usual upbeat, animal loving staff I encounter at petsmart groomers. 45 min later her hair was still not how I wanted it, all I wanted was her legs to be trimmed an inch shorter. I asked them to do it shorter 2x and as I stood there two employees were talking to each other as of I wasn't there. Saying this is a full service cut & I need to pay more, moaning & complaining that it's too much work for being charged 1/2 a groom. So I chimed in letting them know if there's an issue to address it with me directly & speak to whomever scheduled me of there was a problem. It was awkward & the entire staff was outright rude; if they don't enjoy being around dogs then get a new job or transferred to the register. I will never take my dog there again, I felt sorry for the dogs that were there; because I know they are in a negative unfriendly environment. A grooming is traumatic for most dogs, they were rough & seemed to be going through the motions... NOT a place any animal loved would appreciate. These are the WORST groomers! Rude, unprofessional, unorganized, and overpriced. I had an appointment and it took 3 different people and 15 mins to get my dog in. I asked for the Spaw treatment, which my dog has had before at the other location off of Eldridge, I was charged about $10 more. My dog did not even smell like she'd had a bath and her eyes were crusty when I picked her up. I saw one of he groomers carelessly trimming a dog and not one of them was comforting or soothing the animals like they do at the other locations. They all look and act like they came off a farm themselves, so you'd think they would be nicer to our pets! This grooming facility is giving PetSmart a bad name! read more

My dog has been here 3 times for grooming. The first 2 times I paid only $50. Yesterday I was charged $70. The grooming department said they told me that the price was going to go up which is not true. Manager was extremely rude and told me that if I wanted a refund that they would no longer accept my dog there. I do not recommend using this groomer. I just brought my Goldendoodle in for the first time and had a great experience. Jessica was the one who did all of the grooming and bathing. I was very satisfied with how Enzo came out. Goldendoodles aren't easy either so I was really surprised considering all the negative reviews on here. I think they don't get the people who have good experiences to add anything. read more

Terrible! First of all they did not honor my appointment! Then when when I arrived, 2 dogs inside escaped & ran into parking lot that were being checked in. Very small check in area which was full with no place to wait. I left because I have no confidence that they will take care of my dog! I called the Manager Jason who offered no reassurance. Today August 23 my dog got hit by a car. But was still alive. It happened right infront of the store. So it was 6:05. Of couse im screaming and crying. But i went and asked a man who work at pet smart to help me. He told me "we close at 6. We can no longer help you today". My puppy of 12weeks was dying. He told me no. I had to sit there and hold my dog while she was gasping for air. The man just kept refusing to help me. Me being only 16 years old and having my dog dying in my arms and this man will not help me is horrible. Pet Smart is the worst company ever. I will NEVER shop there again. I will never go back there!! Took my 2 cats in for a bath today. First off I made the appointment online with 2 specific groomers that I've used in the past at 12pm. I get there at 12 and a 3rd cat groomer made me wait for 20 minutes before she came up to help me. Then she tells me there's $7 special handling fee for each cat which is not mentioned anywhere on the website and was very rude when talking to me. Her manager was there and was even more rude and told me that they have nothing to do with the website!!! Really??!! Then they tell me one of the groomers I booked with is no longer there and the other one is busy!!! But the reason why I booked with those 2 groomers was because that 3rd one is rude and doesn't do a good job!! Then I ask her how long will it take. She answers that she doesn't know because there's too many pets ahead of me. Well I'm sorry but I made an appointment instead of walking in for a reason. On top of all that they didn't call me when the cats were ready. I called at 6 (that's 6 hours later) and they tell me oh yeah they're done!!! Bottom line they are very rude, very bad customer service and they didn't even do a good job!!! The cats' nails don't even look trimmed and their fur is flying everywhere because they didn't even care to brush them after the bath!!! read more
