During duck season, our pudelpointer would come home a muddy mess every weekend, but the PetSmart team was always so accommodating, showering our sweet pup with love each time he visited. He's not a fan of having his nails trimmed, but the staff is incredibly patient and kind, earning his trust and getting the job done every time! Amazing customer service. I went on quite the adventure this last Sunday to set my son up with a bearded dragon buddy. I made a handful of poor choices choosing tanks and came back multiple times with exchanges, questions and concerns. Everytime I was greeted with warmth, giggles and a helping hand. Excellent Customer Service in Fish Dept I felt the need to recognize one employee, Alec, who helped us with setting up our first fish tank last weekend. We took our toddler to enjoy looking at the fish at Cabela's for months and decided it was time to get some pet fish ourselves. We told Alec we're beginners and wanted a very basic setup with low maintenance. He pointed us in the direction of owning male guppies, perfect for smaller tanks (5 gallon). Apparently, guppies multiply pretty fast, so we wanted to go with the colorful males and stick with our small tank. Alec is very patient, knowledgeable, and thorough in answering all of our questions. He covered a lot of helpful information and suggested great products to get us started with. He explained everything from common things to expect upon setting up the tank on the first day to routine weekly and monthly care, feeding, and how to add more fish safely in the future. We picked out some decor and went with a tropical theme. They were having a buy one get one 50% off in one section. It's awesome to find people that are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their hobbies and job. We're thankful we spoke to him because there's so much more to caring for fish than just sticking them in a bowl with tap water! Our daughter stares at the fish every day and loves the tank setup. I have never left a review before, but I felt so awful after leaving this business that I thought it should be noted for other customers. They acted bothered that I was there and were very rude and condescending. I went in to get my dog groomed and I arrived 20 minutes early and There was no one there. They told me I just had to wait until 8 AM when my appointment was. I waited and when no one was there at 5 minutes until I said I had to go and that I would call to reschedule. They said I was a prepaid customer. I wanted to confirm that they had the right customer but they said they couldn't talk anymore as they were too busy. I left and tried calling them on my way to work from the car. I asked who the manager was and they said they didn't know. They said they would call me back as they were busy, they never called me back and I had never been told previously that I was a prepaid customer. They were just all around rude and I will never ever be going back. read more

I have had my dog groomed a fee times now at Petsmart Wilsonville, she is always shaking when I took her there, but was assured she was fine and enjoyed her bath. This LAST time, I got a call saying her groom was stopped because she kept pooping a little and stepping in it and then needed cleaning again. We'll, it had been 4 hrs. with no potty break! She was desperate to receive herself and wastrying to hold it in!! Amy could not recognize that and take the two minutes to take her out to the grass area!! Instead blamed the dog! The pictures below are from back in February of this year at the Wilsonville Petsmart grooming. Does Winston appear aggressive in these pictures? Today I took him back to get groomed and the groomer started telling me that he was written in their computer as aggressive so she didn't think she could trim his nails. These pictures are not from his last grooming and they did tell me he didn't like his feet touched at his last appointment, what dog does? I told her it was fine to put an e-collar on him if needed to which she responded "dogs can wiggle their way out of e-collars and then bite the groomer", say what? They're attached to a short chain around their neck on a table, with an e-collar on and they can wiggle their way out? After I dropped him off I went home and told my neighbor that I highly doubt he's getting his nails trimmed as the groomer had already convinced herself she had a vicious Corgi on her hands. Sure enough, once he was done she called and told me all the things she couldn't do because he was an aggressive dog. I'm perplexed how in 9 months Winston went from these pics to barely being able to groom him. So she didn't trim or file his nails, couldn't brush him very well and couldn't dry him, however she charged me $12 more as a "handling fee". After I paid the bill I asked to speak to the manager and he never came up front to talk to me so I left. I don't know what happened at Petsmart grooming in Wilsonville in the past 9 months but I will never be going back! read more

I've been going to the Gresham store for many years & just about a year before Covid came around I've 3 different different regular groomers for over 20years the first left after 4-5 years the I had another great regular groomers for over for 7-8 years she moved on the the 3rd she was also great & all my kidz love going every other month to see their favorite grommets I've always had 2 at a time some 3 kids they'd all go in together. after the 3rd groome the 4 th was just horrible & let one of my kids fall off the table didn't say anything & didn't know it til lance got home & was show some difficulties in walking & they claimed they had seen the video which they do not have in the grooming area only at the front check in area. they refuse to let me see the video. & the store went to hell as well!! then I moved to Wilsonville nothing but trouble rude , could careless about anyone includ the fur babies! they couldn't even take a little snarl from mine today so she didn't finish him I went to get them she gave the invoi to take with me up to check out before leav & expects me to pay 70$$ for a 20# dog all they did was bathe him. my 3rd time there at this store I told them no way was i goona pay 70$!for nothing & then refused my 40 # kid ( my 2nd kid) cause the groomer is not lift no more than 20#s & did not care to call me before I showed up that there was no one else there to do him so I brought him back home with me! Don't take your dog to get groomed at this petsmart. It is unsafe, unprofessional and they do not know what they are doing. They did a hack job on our dog and also cut her nails down to bleeding. Then when we expressed concern to Amy the grooming manager they banned our dog, saying "this facility is dangerous for your dog". So even they believe this facility is not safe for pets. Bailey is the best In so many ways! She has groomed my sweet maltipoo Mo on several occasions. She has been patient with me being criminally late, but she also does a beautiful job cleaning up my senior pet- I took her in yesterday and she was a giant mess- we were 2 appointments behind and she definitely had to go the extra mile. My poor dog looked like she had never had a bath in her life! Petsmart had good dog food to choose from but only 20% of the store is actually healthy for your pet. The staff, like most big branded name stores have no care for their staff what so ever I worked here at petsmart for a year and before that I was located in banfield in the store for a year as well. I had to leave because the manager of the grooming salon was very inappropriate and had too much to say about everyone, when I left my grooming salon job I had reported all things I saw inappropriate to the general and assistant manager and conveniently enough they didn't get back to me, I know how much they care about their ratings at this store so I thought I'd leave a message where everyone can see, petsmart doesn't care about your pets rather they care about making ur pets sicker so u keep buying more, please do your research when finding places to take care of ur pet and where u buy they're supplies from! A warning to those that visit casa de K. You are likely to find the following items: 1) worms in the refrigerator 2) crickets on the counter 3) fish heads in the freezer ...and if my son gets the snake he's been dreaming about for ages, mice in the microwave. But, I'm trying to hold the line. I can endure the rest, but mice make me squirm. My life would have been much different if I had girls. My family's pet needs are relatively basic and this large location of the chain has all the standards. We do most of our shopping at local pet stores, but for simple purchases like crickets, Petsmart is pretty cheap and convenient. They do not carry the specialty medicine that keeps my granny dog relatively mobile, but as a convenience store for pets, not bad at all. read more

This review is pertaining to the groomers. This is not my first troubling experience here so I'll spare all of the details. Our most recent experience we had to get our dog groomed (although bathed the day before) as to prevent the spread of infection. I respect that. They first let our dog out into the entrance with piles of dog urine all over. So he can stomp around and try to drink. Very disgusting and not very clean for our fresh pup. The only reason for our trip out was to get the nails trimmed and they DIDN'T get trimmed. Just groomed. They didn't call and let us know that he wasn't getting a trim and let him sit in the kennel for the remainder of the 2 hour window and they didn't offer any kind of discount for not doing what they were supposed to do. So now we paid $40 just for a grooming and splashing in some pee! He has had his nails trimmed here before and I don't know what has changed. I don't recommend using them unless you have to. I happened to be dropping by this shopping center to get gas at Costco when I spotted the PetSmart and was reminded I needed to restock on dry food for the fur babies. I was able to locate the cat section easily and find the food I usually get in Seattle. It was nice to checkout in Oregon sans tax and with a friendly staff member! I was out of there within 5 minutes - mission accomplished! read more

A perfectly nice pet location. They carry the kitty litter we use in 40-pound bags, they carry the cat food we need (in, fortunately, much smaller bags: litter keeps better!), they carry a miscellany of toys, brushes, and other items. Yes, it's a chain store, and it's stocked with the big-name stuff that chain stores tend to stock. But it seems to have a good variety of those and a good supply, and the clerks are always friendly and helpful. I am sad that the "adopt-a-cat" section is no longer affiliated with Cat Adoption Team and is in fact empty as I write this review (they're apparently searching for another partner, per the employee I asked), but I don't go there to adopt cats, I go there to take care of the cats I have adopted. I just miss the extra dose of cuteness as I walk by. read more

The kids and I took our dog to this location yesterday and the first thing she did was pee on the floor.. I was mortified but the employees were so understanding and helped us find the "oops station". Then our dog proceeded to bark at all the other dogs but once again they didn't even bat an eye. Needless to say idk if our dog is up for another trip but I will definitely be back! The products we bought for her and our cat were great! Went in this evening to look at the kitties for adoption and a female sales associate told my kids and I that we were not allowed to pet a cat unless we had plans to adopt it. The sales associate didn't even ask me if we had plans on adopting, just assumed. How sad that the adult kitty we wanted to pet and meet was denied the chance to meet our family because the sales associate didn't want to "rial them up." Yup! She said that a volunteer comes in for an hour each day and that they are good with that. Shame on her. I will take my business elsewhere and I feel bad for the kitties being denied affection and the chance to get adopted because she was too lazy to let us meet him. read more

I have been into this Petsmart several times in the past week, and I am blown away by the friendliness of the customer service. Not one person has pointed me in a particular direction, instead, they walk with me to exactly what I am trying to find. Their selection is massive for mainstream items. When you start talking specialty items, however, things fall apart a bit. My trainer has introduced me to at least three different brands of front-clip harnesses, none of which is carried at Petsmart. Instead, they have the fourth brand that is the least favorite option for our situation. They do carry the great dog kennels that we need, but their plush padding selection is run of the mill. I am impressed by their grooming supply department. Their shampoo aisle is akin to shopping at Target or Freddies for humans. Vast, vast selection. They have really beefed up their bird items in the past couple of years. Most of my shopping for bird items is done across the river in Washington, but I can always find enough here to hold me over until the next trip. While I prefer to give business to my local pet store, I cannot deny the convenience of the location near work and the real effort put forth by the folks who work at this location. read more

I've had good experiences with PetSmarts in the past, so was keeping up with them here in Wilsonville. I showed up for an 8am appointment, had to wait for 5 minutes outside while continuing to push the button, finally someone shortly sauntered over. Got inside, waited 10 minutes in the salon, which nobody responded too. Someone from the vet finally went to see what was going on - The woman came out, was super rude, and claimed they had nothing to do with the buzzer (the buzzer that has a sign saying to push for grooming service before 9am). I ended up walking out & will now be sticking with Eva's, which my family has been happy with since they opened. I'm not even buying food or anything else from this place any longer. People have jobs & things they need to be doing - Maybe be more respectful of people's time, in addition to just being respectful to the people paying your bills in general... read more

One of the employees was very rude to my family. She insulted our 4 month old puppy by telling us that he was too hyper, when she was the one who approached our dog without asking. She blatantly insulted our pet trainer and offered her services instead. She then told us that we weren't good dog owners because we put his harness on backwards. Who says that to someone? The store is basically staffed with one person at a checkout line, so if you need help, good luck. I brought my one year old (very anxious) dog to get a bath and dry for the first time. Bobbi helped me and seriously she is just want I needed. She talked me through what would happen, told me how to bring him in, and then even called half way through to tell me he was doing a good job. I was obviously more nervous than my pup. My husband placed a pick up order for one single item and sent me to pick it up. I called when I arrived at the curbside just to ask if it was ready and the man on the phone kept interrupting me when I was trying to ask. He kept asking for the name on the order and I gave him my husbands and before I was able to tell him it could be my name as well for pick up he hung up on me. Came outside and said there was no order under that name so I gave the other. He walked in and back out and asked if I had received an email saying it was ready. I tried to explain yet again that i was told to come get it and had no idea that what the time frame was (which is what I was trying to say on the phone) he interrupted again and said the order was not ready and there is a 3 hour waiting period. I was trying to say okay ya that's fine I was just checking when it would be ready, not trying to rush anyone, and he walked away and kept turning around saying I need to wait the time and that I shouldn't have shown up. I was not trying to rush anyone. My husband is military and out of state rn and ordered this for our dog as a gift for me. I could not ask him about the time frame so I was just trying to figure it out. Not trying to rush but I could not get a single word out without being hung up on, interrupted, or walked away from. Very very very frustrating. His whole attitude was very rude and he seemed absolutely annoyed and irritated I was there. I wasn't trying rush anyone and had no problem waiting or coming back. I just had my Yorkie groomed by Lyndsey this afternoon. She did an awesome job with Lucy. She was trimmed the exact length I wanted. I can tell she has treated her well as Lucy has returned from grooming very agitated and scared. That is not the case with Lyndsey. Thanks for making her look so good. read more

We used to have an amazing local pet store that we all loved, sadly it burned down. We recently went to Petsmart to add some Glofish to our tank. I should have known better to buy fish there when there were 3 dead ones stuck to the filter. The employee stated that Wednesdays can be ugly tank days since they just get new fish in and they don't all survive. (How about quarantine them first?). My anxious kids prevailed and we bought 4 glofish. During the 30 minute drive home, they had names picked out for all of them. Once inside, my son burst into tears because the fish he named Nitro had not even survived the trip home. Here we are the next day and Rose has bit the dust, or the rocks on the bottom of the tank. A 50% survival rate for essentially a 24 hour time frame is not acceptable. Sad kids, dead fish, and a waste of 2 gallons of gas to go back and forth. read more

Heather at grooming salon is our favorite, she is a star, my dog is nervous about hair cuts but she gives him a lot of attention, more than I would reasonably expect. Our black lab was sprayed by a skunk last week, which is literally my second worst nightmare as a dog owner. Of course it happened at night, so we had no choice but to do our best to bathe him at home and wait until daytime to take him to a groomer. Our local vet recommended PetSmart for a second bath to reinforce our initial de-skunking efforts, and I am SO glad I listened! Bonnie & the team at PetSmart were AMAZING. Our poor dog was terrified - already traumatized by the incident - and they were extremely kind, gentle and friendly. He had only been professionally groomed one time before so I can only imagine how scared he was. But when Bonnie entered the salon, our dog instantly perked up - his tail even started wagging! There is something about her that literally set him at ease. We have never considered getting him groomed regularly but now we just might since we have such a great place to take him! read more

Me and my fiance rescued a Pomeranian from an independent rescue that was stationed at this PetSmart. We've since gone back three or four times and all of the employees remember us and our dog. It's extremely friendly there and you can tell everyone truly love animals. Recently we took Raizin to get groomed. Brittainy was her groomer and not only did she do a fantastic job, she went through the services beforehand to make sure we have the package we needed. When we picked up Raizin, Brittainy was so enthusiastic and her customer service was fantastic. She gave us future recommendations and why they are important. I'm looking forward to having her as our regular groomer. read more

Wow, talk about not feeling great when you leave a store with your pet. We were looking for a particular item in Petsmart and were standing discussing it (my puppy was lying at my feet relaxed) when one of the employees (an older lady) walked over - didn't ask if we needed any help - bent down to my puppy (not asking) commented that he was very hyper and asked if you were in puppy classes. I think this is very tactless. I stated that we were currently in classes with another place and she then commented that she had "several" people come to her from our current training. I said "no thanks we are happy where we are", and she proceeded to let me know that she was a behaviorist. She whipped out her business card and gave it to me. When I said "no thank you" she basically stormed off. I was shocked. Firstly, you don't ever comment on someone else's puppy behaviour and secondly you can at least show some manners and customer service. At our check out, the lady behind the counter told us "your harness is on the wrong way" - another tackless attempt. She called the original lady over to hlep, after I said can they show me the correct way. She came over and said "I've already dealt with them, they are with .... (our trainer) and shot me down." When we said that's very polite, she walked away. After sadly spending a lot of money at our local Petsmart in the last few months, we will not be using them again. Shame on you! read more

Last week I adopted a sweet little black kitten. He was locked in a small little cage with his litter box right next to his food and he was sneezing, the staff was unaware of his cold, other cats had colds (and fleas) as well. Not the employees fault at all but the lock on the cage couldn't be opened they had to cut it open. Kind of makes me wonder how long he was in there. The sign on his cage said 3 months old but he is in fact almost 6 months old born on 06/17. This isn't the first time I've seen lack of care for animals at this location, last year I saw a little kitten hurting himself trying to get out of his cage. There are still the same cats for adoption that were there last week which makes me think they aren't advertising very well. I was only at this location to pick up my other cat some cat food, and stumbled upon the little guy. They were closing in 20 minutes and I just wanted to get him out of there. The staff were super helpful and nice but PetSmart needs to up their game when it comes to the care of the animals. I went back today to get my free bag of cat food he is going to need it he is really skinny! But I will not be returning, I will order from amazon. read more
