Recently, however, my daughter's retainer was giving her problems, and they told us to come in. After further examination, they did another mold, and she got a brand new retainer. I went to serval different offices before making my decision and this office instantly stood out in the beginning. They use the best equipment, have the best staff, and their service quality is a 6 star. I just finished my treatment never did I have to wait more than 5 minutes to be attended. They have very flexible schedules and for basic monthly check ups you're in and out within 15 minutes. With COVID they adapted the best possible way they could of. They bought several of the best air purifiers, high tech temperature machine, and constant disinfecting in the office. Last year a friend of mine had her braces taken off. I was so impressed by her full and beautiful smile that I asked her who her orthodontist was. That's how I found out about Dr. Phan. Dr. Phan is Phabulous! (can that be the new spelling?) My 13 year old daughter had braces put on earlier this year. And Dr. Phan has helped me tremendously with a permanent bottom retainer and a night guard. Dr. Phan goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are cared for. When you are talking with him he is really present and gives you his full attention. Besides Dr. Phan, I've had the most interactions with Joel, Janet, and Sandra all of whom are a pleasure to work with and are really on the ball. He and all of his staff are professional, skilled, caring, and positive. The office is clean and modern. I also like that they don't use CAT scans like some orthodontic offices use as they are mega high in radiation. They use panoramic and cephalogram x-rays which are much lower in radiation while providing all of the views of the teeth necessary for treatment. We love Dr. Phan and staff! read more

Absolutely phenomenal orthodontics office and staff -- if you're in the market (or your child is) for braces, Dr. Phan is the way to go! You can thank me after you achieve your perfect smile with him for doing all the research for you already. I chose Dr. Phan for my second round of braces after my sweet Mama insisted on visiting just about every orthodontist in town to find the best (and most trustworthy) one. Nearly every doctor wanted me to pull out 4 perfectly good teeth -- Dr. Phan was one of the few who listened to my concerns (no pulling out good teeth!) and was able to get me that perfect smile with ALL my teeth intact -_- He's highly personable, knowledgeable, and resourceful -- this teenage girl was NOT able to have braces on a day longer than necessary, and he was able to use a special type of bracket (I think it was called a Damon bracket) to make the process finish more quickly (8 months -- thank you, Dr. Phan!). Truly the best place to go -- wonderfully friendly office staff that are happy to help (thank you, Sandra, Joel, Janet, and everyone else I missed because I stink at names); competitively priced (money doesn't grow on trees); extremely accommodating with appointment times (I work 6 days a week and they're over an hour away and they once even saw me during their lunch break); beautiful office (doesn't hurt); plenty of parking (who has time to hunt for parking spots downtown?); and most importantly -- delivers what he promises. Today I went in for a consultation at 11am I was doing some paper work when 20 minutes later Dr Phan got called for an emergency so I had to come back around 2:30 so Janet the receptionist felt so bad for me and offered to give me a Starbucks gift card which was very nice of her cause she didn't have to lol I didn't mind I had nothing else to do after anyways. So I came back around 2:30 and met with Dr. Phan and he was extremely very nice and well explained with how the process of my braces would go since I had went to 'WESTERN DENTAL' a week before coming to Phan Orthodontics! P.s DON'T GO TO WESTERN DENTAL !! Horrible service and it took me about 4 hours for a damn consultation and some damn X-rays they also wanted to tell me i needed all this work done and the total was going to be almost $12,000 !!!! Ridiculous I know and I had asked Dr. Phan if I needed all this work done and he said no if I wasn't in any pain than no I'm good. I was about to get ripped off I'm choosing to come here because I've known Janet for years and my 3 other siblings came here to get braces and never once complained. Greatest orthodontist ever! When my son needed braces, I went to three orthodontists in my area, 2 in Los Gatos and one in San Jose. The first two orthodontist were definitely proficient at their jobs, but their focus was on explaining treatment to me, instead of to my son (the patient). Doctor Phan not only explained everything to me, but he brought my son into the conversation, allowing him to participate and realize how much of the treatment would be his own responsibility. We only had to come in once a month for treatment and in less than 18 months my son's teeth look perfect - and they were definitely jacked up to start with. Every one of the staff is professional and pleasant, the payment plan is easy/flexible, and they even pay for referrals, which is great. If you're looking for orthodontist who does his job expertly and makes you and/or your children feel comfortable, definitely check out Dr Phan.
