Took 20 minutes to do. Price is as good as it get. The place also does car repairs. Will plan on doing my brake change there soon. Highly recommended. They have have places to eat nearby too! I went there on a Tuesday before lunch, no line. read more

Great and fast smog service, Good job! Being open on Saturday and Sunday is a great help.

Super fast, super efficient and super economical. Very friendly staff as well. Removed a nail from our car tire in just a minute. read more

This review is for their used tire service. Stopped by this place to get a tire replaced. The tire I was replacing is a common size, so I didn't even bother to call ahead to see if they had one. Once there I asked if they had my size (they did) and I pulled it out of my car to get it replaced. I walked to the Shell station close by to pull out cash to pay, and by the time I came back my tire was already finished. Quick, no hassle service for replacing a used tire. I would check first if you're looking for a certain sized tire that might not be too common, but if they have one, I would go with this place. read more

They spent 10 minutes to repair the tire and didn't recommend to replace tires like some other stores. Only 20 bucks!

Great service all the way around, would recommend them too anyone! Tires are always in stock and they can get ur smog done as well!

My regular repair shop suddenly stopped doing Smog Tests. So, of course, I looked into Yelp for help. Phan's SS in Newark received 5 stars and now I can attest and add my high recommendation as well. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to find only one vehicle in front of me for a test. The test was done quickly, safely and the guys are really nice to their customers. The place won't win any building beauty contests, but frankly, who cares? Like jury duty, you want it to go by fast and painless. Phan and his team really know how to take some of the anxiety out of having to do this test. Next to Nation's Burgers on Thorton Ave, the total bill was a surprising $59.95. read more

Great family business! The owner's son helps run the shop and they are both very friendly and professional. I thought I had a flat tire, but it turned out to just be low air pressure and my sensors going crazy from the cold weather. I forgot the son's name, but he helped me out and put air in all my tires. He told me to come back if the sensor came on again. Fortunately, it did not and I went on my happy way. I would say this is the place to go for quick and professional service. read more

Called to see if they could change the valve stem on my car and he said "Yah!" && hung up the phone! I called right back and asked how much and the answer I got was "MAKE SURE ITS THE PROBLEM OK!!" Wow hella rude!!!! read more

A+ service. I normally come here for my smog test, but I needed to put new tires on today. I bought the tires myself, but had I known they sell new tires I may have just bought the tires from them. It was quick, easy, and alleviated a huge headache. read more

Just looks like a regular small mechanic shop. BUT IM SO GLAD I STUMBLED UPON THIS GEM!! Actually came recommended so I didn't truly stumble. But anyway, great service, fast, competitive pricing, to the point, everything was perfect read more

My mom went to this tire shop to get 1 of her tires replaced. They "checked" the tire and told her everything was fine. The next day it was flat! So my mom went back and they told her, "it's your fault for driving with a flat tire!" Like wth?!?!?! She's a old lady that can't change a damn tire herself. They even told her not to come back. WTH! What kind of business are you running?! Lack of customer service mannnn. Smdh. If I could choose no star I would but I can't! Best believe they will not get any service from me or my family. read more

I had a flat tire and my tire is not a common size that neither Walmart or Costco has it and surprisingly, they do have it here! I thought they only did smog! The shop is rather small and run by father and son. They're both very courteous and professional. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! Fast service and the price is certainly cheaper than Wheel Works or America Tires. read more

Took my car there today with no appointment. They were very friendly and helpful. I then took another car in that had been sitting with a dead battery. The computer showed that It was not ready to check because it had been sitting. The gentleman explained to me to drive it all day and bring back tomorrow. And DID NOT CHARGE ME!!!! I will be back and will let all my friends know about this place to. A well run professional family run business. Thank you guys. read more

Very friendly staff here. We went in for 4 tires and the job was done right in less than 25 minutes. For as popular as they are, there is rarely ever a wait time or huge crowds because of how quick and efficient they are. Highly recommend. read more

I needed to get my 2005 Passat smog checked so I could sell it. I called before they were supposed to be open on Labor Day. The guy answered the phone and said to come anytime, they'd be there until noon. So, I showed up about 5 minutes later. I explained what I needed. He performed the smog check and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. He made conversation while I was there and even told me I could have sold my car for more. He's probably right, but that's ok. I was very pleased with the service and friendliness. I will definitely come back the next time I need a smog check. I paid $60. I'm not sure if that's the regular price or if it may have cost more because it was for selling the car. read more

My wife went after 6 PM and was treated very respectfully. We were expecting to spend more but the guys gave their honest recommendation on the tires and we ended up spending less. They were fast because she had went to All Star Burger next door to place and order for dinner. They were done almost at the same time. They had double checked their work and I highly recommend this place. read more

first of all this place is a dump. I understand that may be $10 cheaper than others but they have no service and I can't believe people buy their defective tires. Stay away. read more

Quick, fast, price as quoted on the phone without hidden fees. Open 7 days a week. What more do you want?

Quick and easy smog check, Never a long wait! Been here for two smog sessions and have had zero issues. Will return again

Updated Review: The first time I went to Phan's Smog Station (About two years ago) it was great... second time was absolutely horrible. First of all... I was not told that the price had gone up significantly. Secondly... they told me that my car failed due to some sensors not being ready. I was told to drive around a few days and come back for a re-test (another $20 for the re-test). Don't most smog places do a second re-test for free? Anyways, I did as they told and went out of my way to come back there a second time after a few days only to be told that another sensor is "Pending" and will cause me to fail the smog test. So I went to another smog place in Milpitas to fix this "Pending" sensor and was told that it would not affect the results of my smog test. Lo and behold I get my car tested there (Only $40 at the Milpitas place by the way) and my car passes. So basically I was scammed out of the first smog test fee that I had got done at Phan's, wasted time making two pointless trips to the shop, and stressed out over nothing. By the way I did try to call Phan's Smog and explain the situation and was told NO REFUNDS. It's a no-brainer that I'll never be doing business here again and highly suggest going to a different Smog Check Station to avoid the chances of an awful experience like the one I had. Old Review: Went in for a Smog check and was In and Out in no more than 15 minutes. Price was very reasonable $40 (including certs and everything) which is cheaper than most places I saw online. The guy helping me was very friendly and communicated everything clearly. It was Fast, Easy, Cheap and an overall very pleasant experience. I'll definitely be doing business again! read more

These guys charge a lot for a smog. I went to another place and their machine was down so I went over here and they weren't busy. They do the smog right in front of you so there's no waiting room or anything. But I guess then you know what they are doing to your car. I also wish they would have put a mat down in my car especially since it was raining. read more

Had a smog check done there recently. Great service. In and out in 10 minutes. While getting my smog, I chatted with the staff about my car and just show how friendly and helpful they are. I also priced competitive less than other smogs. read more

Although they were a lil' late opening shop, they performed fast and efficient service.

I had a screw in my tire yesterday, and like most of us, work a 9-5. Getting tires fixed midweek is difficult at best. Headed over to Walmart after calling and despite the fact that they said they were still doing tires, they couldn't take me. I texted my girls and they came through! Sent me over to Phan's and told me to expect to be amazed. No wait, showed up at 5:50, and within 10 minutes my tire was back on my car and I was pulling out of the lot. LNO was not defeated after all!!! Thanks guys; you made a loyal customer out of me!!!! read more
