I always look forward to a seat at the bar right when they open, and enjoying a Whiskey Sour or two. :-) Sometimes I'll partake in the local Texas beers which are seriously good. The staff here is always jovial and professional, and they always make sure everyone's taken care of. Our waiter, who let us know he mainly works in the kitchen, took care of orders, food prep, and making drinks. I believe his name was Omar and he was fantastic!! Also, the restaurant itself is absolutely a vibe! Definitely recommend the empanadas and Roja salsa. The birria tacos were great too, and I'm still obsessing over the dessert churros. The drinks are a bit pricey and the bar is usually understaffed on weekends as it can take a long time to order and receive a drink. Also, I think the bar should be able to validate a valet ticket, especially when one drink can cost $25. The food is typical bar food. Nothing stands out here as unique or exceptional. I come here for the ambiance. That said, the outdoor area is fabulous. I love the views and sitting by the fire pits on a chilly night. However, in the summer, spring and fall, when it is hot outside, I do not understand why the fire pits are on! No one wants to sit by a fire when it's 80+ degrees. I'm sure it looks cozy and nice from the hotel rooms, but it is not practical. Last weekend a few of my friends met there and we sat outside. We saw 6 mice running around very close to us. I understand this place is in what used to be a field, but at a 5-star hotel, I expect better rodent control. A qualified, experienced exterminator could handle this. I am happy that the Omni is so close to my home. Living in Prosper, I am grateful that we finally have a classy place to go.

The absolute WORST salon ever. Save your hair and skin...and go anywhere else!…read more My teenage daughter went in to have her hair highlighted and her roots darkened. We were told it would take about an hour. It took SIX and half hours, which is the most absurd amount of time I have ever experienced. She kept telling us one more hour, meanwhile my daughter wasn't able to eat, drink or use the bathroom all day because the pitiful hair dresser was working so incredibly slowly! When she darkened her roots, she literally threw the hair color all over my daughter's arms, neck and face, which have left stained marks we are not able to remove. While she was doing the toner on the blonde highlights, she left the hair color blobs sitting on my daughter's skin which left slight burn marks on her face. There is no excuse for this salon and the horribly sloppy work they perform. Stay away! You're better off any where else!
