Came about an hour before close, great service and hookah experience, I was informed for BYOB I couldn't bring my own mixer in that he could provide me one (didn't mention I would be paying $5 for it) chill vibes, but once the do left (about 50 minutes before the place closed) all hip hop music stopped playing and it was all pretty much all music in another language after that which was disappointing (while the dm was there he at least switched back and forth between the type of music being played) a few of the couches weren't exactly in tip top condition but still usable, not the most "insta worthy" place ever, but it was relatively cheap (no entry fee just pay for hookah &refills) and pretty good, just regret coming that late, if I were to return it would be around 10pm. Not really a place I would go for a special occasion or extremely nicely dressed, somewhere to just chill and have a hookah. read more

If you're trying to just chill with your friends, this is a great spot, small and cozy. The guys who work here are super friendly and they make sure your hookah is hitting well at all times. The only con is that the lounge is a little hidden, it's kind of hard to find. read more

Been to other pharaoh lounges before, but this one moved us right next to the speaker after they already gave us a table. When we asked if we could move the guy straight up said no. Gave us a headache and couldn't even relax. read more

Disappointed with the experience, website states $9.99 for happy hour hookah however I was charged $10.99. I was actually told they don't have a happy hour. BYOB is expensive as another reviewer stated. Place needs some TLC and consistent customer experience. Not a great start and they appear to follow in the same shoes as the old place previously named Petra. Even the menu has the name Petra on it. Did the management really change or just the name. Update: I wanted to respond to comments from Mo R. I came in at 4:30pm but place was closed, 4pm is when the place is supposed to open. I purchased a hookah at 5 and left after 7- I purchased Hookah during happy hour and should be charged accordingly. Prices for BYOB are not advertised, I suggest you make that change so customers are aware of what they get for their $$. Happy hour on website clearly states 9.99 and does not mention location. Mo R was polite and came by every so often to check, Hookah quality was average - I prefer some of the places across town. I don't appreciate Mo R comment that I only care about Money - I am just providing my view on my experience. Suggestions: Management should take the comments and look to improve not criticize the customer. Update your website if its wrong, create menu with pricing and decide if your called Petra or Pharaoh's. Open on time. read more

So this isn't a terrible place to go if you want a chill and pretty empty hookah lounge. It was kinda difficult to find and when we arrived there was only one waiter. That meant that the tables were left dirty and the bathroom was even worse. Blood on the floor and we'll just not sanitary. I went here last night and service was good. The upkeep of the inside was not all that great. Place seemed like it needed to be painted. But for what we came for (hookah) it was pretty good. They played good music and made sure to open up the door to let the smoke air out every once in a while. They came around frequent enough to check on us and ask us if there is anything that we needed. Make sure you know that this place is a BYOB (Bring your own beverage) because they don't serve alcohol. So make sure you run by the store if you want to drink. Overall, pretty good. read more

Generally I liked the style of the place, the lights, the fancy hookah, and the art on the walls... The music was good but was not loud enough... The hookah it self wasn't the best I've ever had but it was okay... They should have explain their rules right away while taking the orders. Customers sometimes don't read all the menu and order their stuffs. Need to display that clearly. Bad customer service! Great hookah and great customer service. If you are a real hookah smoker and care about quality pharaohs is the spot. You have to give them props for running a very well planned scam to the customers. They know exactly what they are doing and how to make money off from the customers. Their customer service is horrible, they will add on extra charges like cover charges, limited ppl that can smoke one hookah, minimum purchases half way through you are smoking. We had to leave midway and also had to pay 18% for the horrible service ever. Stay away! read more

We came here to celebrate our friends birthday. Halfway through 2 hookah ordered, they started dropping all kind of rules: there is cover charge $5 for each, there are limited number of hookah that ppl can smoke etc. they don't explain rules or cover charge to you in beginning. They will try to to get you to order more and start charging fees once you get comfortable. Would never come back here. Stay away folks! Lot more better places in dallas. read more
