We ordered a kofta and shish kabob wrap on our way to an event over Memorial day weekend. The BF wasn't as keen on the shish kabob because he doesn't like turmeric at all. However, I thought it was great, so we swapped. It's a mixed bag going out with a picky eater, but we make it work. He liked their onion rings, and I had the jalapeno poppers, which were alright. Good service, and the pitas were much larger than we were expecting. plenty of veggies inside the wrap that were juicy and fresh - so I advise people to cut them in half and eat from the middle first if you don't like wet pita. I had enough for left overs, and on the second day, it was fab in a cold chopped salad. Both wraps came with a very interesting turmeric onion condiment that I really liked. I've been 3 times and little things changed each time. Most annoying is no more menus. All electronic. I don't want to read the menu on my phone' Gyro pita no longer a stand alone. Added $3.00 to price and comes with fries only. Substitutions now $3.99 Fries came with real ketchup. Next visit I get ketchup packets. In the dining room! Gyro had good flavor. Pita was nice and thick at first but today it was thin as a pancake. Guess they had to cut back here too I'm gonna give it another try. read more

I went here for lunch the other day with my family, and we are already talking about going again! We tried the lamb gyro with the hummus and pita bread as the side and the chicken shawarma with the tabbouleh salad. The lamb was phenomenal. It was very tender just like the chicken. Both meats were full of flavor, and the rice was excellent as well. The service was just ok. Our waitress was nice, but she was very short and not very helpful to us first-timers. While my rating here is pretty good, there were two things that annoyed me during my visit that I want to bring up. First, they don't give you a printed menu. You have to use the QR code. When I asked for a printed menu, my waitress hesitantly brought me one, but said they weren't really allowed to do that. I didn't want to get the young lady in trouble, so I told her I would just use the QR code. But what's up with that. I understand you want to save yourself the money and the hassle by using QR code menus, but almost all places have a paper version for old farts like me who prefer them. Secondly... I ordered the gyro platter, which is described as lamb gyro topped with tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, red onions and tomatoes. What I got was lamb meat on a bed of rice with sauce, feta and tomatoes on top. No pita. No wrap. When I asked where my pita was, the waitress said, "This doesn't come with pita." What the....??!!!!! Maybe (and I stress MAYBE) you could argue that gyro refers to the meat, not the sandwich. (And this isn't actually true. Look up the definition of "gyro" online. It's the wrap.). But people are going to expect the wrap, not just meat on a bed of rice. Technically a hot dog is just the sausage. But you order a hot dog at a restaurant and it comes out without a bun, you're going to be pissed. Look, my food was delicious and the service was very good. But I'm tired of restaurant mangers doing stupid annoying sh**. read more

We went there on one of the first nights they opened. The place is clean and then temperature was comfortable. It's not a huge place but it's not cramped either. Now the menu item photos looked very delicious and when our food came out it matched what was shown. The falafel was perfectly cooked-crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The lamb platter was plentiful. The lamb was perfectly cooked. In some restaurants, you have to have sauce put on the food to have any taste, but not here. Each part of the dishes was packed with great flavor. It shows they really care about presenting food, like they were cooking for family. We had samples of their in-restaurant-made baklava that was warm, sweet, nutty, and probably the best I ever had. We ate there last night and the food is outstanding! I found Pharoah's Kitchen during an online search for best restaurants in the 290/1960 area. We decided to take a chance and they didn't disappoint at all. My wife and I split the King Tut Platter and a side Cairo salad. The beef kabob was perfectly seasoned and tender as was the chicken. Our party of 5 arrived at 6:30 and stayed 'til 10:00 and the server was very attentive and helpful the whole time. Everyone was very pleased with their meal.
