The restaurant is small and comfy, with 4-seat tables lined up against one wall and the opposite wall being taken up by a counter and counter seats. Pictures of food hang on both walls and four brown ceiling fans hang from the ceiling. The restaurant's color scheme is very "latte", as the main colors are white and beige and only one part of the wall is red. Daughter ordered the fried flounder with 2 over easy eggs and grits with wheat bread. She said that the fish was nicely fried and crunchy. It didn't need tartar or cocktail sauce. She said it was her first time eating a breakfast item like this and her taste buds had never felt this sensation before. LOL. Hubs ordered the pinto con chorizo with sunny side up eggs. The server warned him that the sausage was spicy, but he didn't care. When we came here, Hubs didn't expect Hispanic food for brunch and was so surprised and so happy. He found the first item that he can see and translate and was happy he did. The chorizo had a nice spunk to it. He was happy that he got rice and beans instead of home fries and what a delightful change! The chips were also nice and crispy. Lastly, I had waffles with mixed fruit. I LOVED my waffles because it was nice and crunchy. The mixed fruit were bananas, strawberries, grapes and blueberries. They were a nice touch. I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. Coffee was freshly brewed and it was nice and strong. It wasn't ordinary diner coffee. Hubs was happy about getting his cup refilled. Service was fast and really friendly. The waiter was always smiling. Parking is street parking. When we were there, it was free parking. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy, though. We were thinking of checking out the flea market across the street but changed our minds. Glad we got to try this place! Maybe one day, we'll be back.

Soooo yummy!!! I love the waffles. This place really hit the spot and everyone there is so kind.read more

I got the 4x2 and the pancakes were indeed, as the counter people assured us, were "the best you've ever had". I believe they are correct. After selecting our breakfast options, which would be made easier with a flow chart on the menu, we enjoyed some fine coffee and an interrogation on our comings and goings. When they learned we were on our way to Fredericksburg and we engaged in Civil War topics, they must have heard the bell for the end of history class. They did keep checking on us. The eggs and sausage were fine. The bacon could have been cooked more and, thou we asked for onion and peppers, they were not added. I'm not sure how much it would have helped - they needed some zest. In the end, of the 4 breakfast places we had the pleasure of eating at over the Memorial Day weekend, this was the best.

Im glad I got to experience the great food. I was a party of 3 and we ordered OJ, coffee, and a hot chocolate. All generic, in a packet but that was ok. Every dish is made with care, full of flavor, and served exactly the way a great brunch should be. Whether you are in the mood for something classic or want to try something new, you really cannot go wrong here. What truly stands out is the family behind the restaurant. Maria and her family run this place with so much heart. They greet you with smiles, remember their regulars, and create an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and genuine. It feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into a neighborhood kitchen. Maria's Brunch is the kind of local business you want to support. Great food, wonderful people, and a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. We recommend it without hesitation and look forward to many more visits.

The owner, Carolina, was warm and charming as was the waitress, Amira, who provided great service. We started with Argentine beef empanadas as a starter. For lunch I ordered the beef milanesa platter with French fries, while my wife had the chicken milanesa sandwich. Both dishes were generous in portion and full of flavor, just the kind of hearty, home-style fare I love from Argentine cafés. We also picked up a sandwich de miga to take home--a crustless ham and cheese sandwich that was simple, delicate, and satisfying. I'd rate both the meal and the sandwich an easy 8 out of 10. The café itself has a welcoming, local feel, and visiting on a weekday kept things peaceful. I learned they offer fresh Argentine pastries on weekends, which sounds like a perfect reason for a return visit soon. Patria Station Café is a great spot for authentic flavors, big portions, and a pleasant, laid-back experience.

The avocado toast, for example, isn't as filling or interesting. The autumn cloud cakes in particular are very fluffy with high-quality maple syrup and delicious cinnamon apple slices. Nuray's is an incredibly cozy cafe tucked into a strip mall. It's a bit hidden if you've never been, but just keep walking through the strip until you get to the end and there it is. I felt like I was walking into an adorable living room/kitchen, it's just a very welcoming space. I ordered the special of the day, the portobello mushroom panini ($15) and an oat milk latte. The panini was delicious! Cheesy with a great sauce and the mushrooms were soft and flavorful. I thought I'd only have room for half but ended up devouring the entire thing. It also came with a small and simple salad which was a nice bite to have on the side. I didn't love my latte too much as it wasn't very strong and would maybe stick with tea on my next visit. This was a great place to meet and chat before meetings. We took out our laptops to get a little work done (they do not have wifi so I don't recommend you plan to do that without a hotspot). For two sandwiches, two lattes and one hot cup of tea it came out to $60 after tax and tip. That is on the more expensive side, but I still am happy to have found a lovely lunch spot in the area.
