I bought a caramelized garlic baguette that will make a great compliment to my homemade bruschetta. They also had a food truck that served locally sourced sandwiches. I thought it was nice that they had an information booth for visitors that also provided hand sanitizer, and they're dog friendly, which is a bonus if you want to bring you furry friend along.

I don't live in the area but nevertheless I go out of my way to shop and tell everyone I.know to.go. 2 weeks ago I bought a honeydew, half an orange flesh melon and a watermelon.. I specifically said I wanted it ripe for that evening. The orange flesh and watermelon were good. The honeydew went straight in the garbage. It was not close to ripe. But 2 days later the orange flesh and watermelon.also went in the trash because they had turned rancid. Today U went back. I had every intention of making a purchase, but wanted to inform the store of the subpar produce ( that cost an arm and a leg btw) from my last visit.The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The person whom I can only assume is the owner. Is quite nasty. He claimed this has never happened to him in 43 years and that I didn't store the fruit properly and I should've called. He was quite rude and has a lot to learn about customer service. The staff however were very apologetic and could not have been nicer. He is lucky to have them, and I hope he treats them.better than he treated me this morning.

The three yonng women behind the counter were almost impossible to get help from, and since everything is behind glass you can't help yourself. I had to repeat my request for a carrot cake 5 times. Ludicrous, she and her mates were completely focused on each other. One them handled the same bonbons in a tray at least 20 times while talking to her pals, turning them over to look busy. Yuck. If I stop adventuring they may put me out to pasture. I won't let it happen. The store is sleek. It's modern yet uses old school practices. There's a place across the bridge named Alta Irpinia that struts in similar fashion. Anyways... there's a lot I need to try. The homemade pizzas look like my grandmother popped them straight out her oven. The taralli were terrific - Often I'm not impressed by others rings but these hit the shpottt. The sandwich menu looks class - But the Monte e Mari? C'mon now. How could a romantic like me not get down with that. As unique of a sandwich as it comes. The focaccia is strong, firm, and tasty. Not a bland one, edible on its own. And then add the spread.... Mmmmmmmm. Delightful. And finally that octopus. So much quantity I was suprised they filled it up that much.
