I was searching for someone to help me out late last night. My water heater randomly stopped working and it threw me off guard. I didn't know what to do or who to call. I was feeling lost when I called in about my water heater not working but Charles was super to me with everything. He explained I only needed a repair which was a lot less expensive than a replacement (thank goodness) and that he could repair it easily. I had to reschedule my initial appointment and luckily, he had no problem getting everything sorted out for me again for my second appointment the day after. I woke up to my water being cold on a Saturday and immediately began calling plumbers and requesting quotes. I thought I'd either have to wait until Monday to get it fixed or pay a hefty fee for a weekend job call. After several phone calls I was getting either one of those answers, until Phelps returned by call. Barry was able to come by 4 in that afternoon, and was so personable and kind! He explained every step of what he was doing, and the different options I had to fix it. I always appreciate that because I feel like they aren't trying to get away with charging more just because I'm not a plumbing expert. Had to give them a call when I was having problems. I was able to get some warm water but definitely couldn't get any hot water to work. These guys are really nice and it seems like a smaller type of family business. They are caring and listen to your needs. They gave me different opinions of things I could do which was nice too. I decided to just get it repaired since it was still a relatively new water heater. Just talking to Ken before he started on the repair made me feel so much better. I called Phelps because i had turned on the shower that morning and no hot water came out. They were able to schedule service for the following day. A guy named Charles showed up to the house and began to ask questions. I lead him to the heater and he went to work. About 30 minutes later, he determined the thermostat had gone bad. With a quote up front, i agreed and he replaced it and at a fair price. i tested the shower again, and it was like brand new with steamy, hot water flowing out of the faucet. I came home to water running down my driveway and didn't know what was going on. Turns out it was the water heater, I called these guys and they were at my house within 3 hours. The staff was great as a single woman I am never quite sure what to do, they told metro turn off the water and someone would be there soon. You will not want to use anyone else! I'm serious! I wish I would have known about them before I spent over an hour calling and reading reviews. They are the best when it comes to plumbing and in my case water heaters! My family and I continually run out of hot water. It was turning into a nightmare. Finally when our old water heater gave out I almost saw it as a relief seeing as how I knew I needed an upgrade to bigger and better. Instead of getting a larger water heater I decided to go to a tankless and I've never looked back since! Non running out of hot water ever, music to my ears!! Wonderful experience from Phelps Water Heaters. Their plumbers and staff were friendly they provided great service. They had to repair my pilot light on my water heater to get it to start working again.
