To be fair, I did not expect a lot of bells and whistles as this is primarily a hair salon, and we were drawn in by the 4 stars and single dollar sign, but I did expect the basics to be done well. First off, there were only two people in the shop which meant they were very rushed, and it seemed that once they did start on us (my aunt had her feet sitting in the tub unattended to for over an hour), they just wanted to throw polish on and get us done as soon as possible. The technician filed my nails after verifying that I wanted them to be squared. However, they were very round and very crooked. Then, she didn't bother to clean them up before applying polish. The edges were very rough and small pieces of nail that were still attached were simply painted over, resulting in a very sloppy-looking paint job. My aunt's manicure looks like it was done by a child having a seizure. The polish is uneven and all over her finger tips and cuticles. Completely cringeworthy. When she complained, the technician simply said, "well that's a hard polish to use." ... What? Are you serious? Attempting to finish on a positive note, they did attempt to fix the things we weren't thrilled with. I emphasize the word attempt. I want to say that they tried really really hard. I really think they did. But the reality is, they just aren't that good at nails. But, I like their massage chair and all the wait time let me catch up on a book I've been meaning to read. So there is that.

Now and then I have tried stylists who are closer, yet it wasn't a good fit. Hannah knows my style - feathered highlights and dimension that is subtle and not over the top. As for the cut, she knows I like to keep my hair low-maintenance with ability to curl, wave, or straighten my hair. Her work is consistent. Hannah's super easy to chat with as well, and I appreciate that she asks how my child's doing each time. We both love music and travel, and most of our convos are around those two topics.

From the start, I communicated my concerns clearly and politely, expressing that the highlights didn't turn out the way I had hoped. I was told I could come back to have more highlights added, especially on my new growth, and while I was initially willing to give her a second chance, things only went downhill from there. Upon my appointment, I was only charged for the haircut and the products used, with the understanding that I would pay the remaining balance when the job was finished. The next day, however, I received a call from Kersten saying that she felt unable to achieve the results I wanted and suggested I find another stylist. This is completely unprofessional--no experienced or competent stylist would simply give up on a client's request like that. Instead of working with me to fix the issue, she abandoned me with dark roots that were left visible for four inches and avoided highlighting my bangs altogether. The result looked nothing like the blended, sun-kissed highlights I requested; instead, I was left with a harsh, dark rooted look that was far from what I asked for. I have never encountered a stylist so unwilling to correct a mistake, especially when it could have been easily fixed with a few additional highlights. The lack of effort and unwillingness to ensure my satisfaction was beyond frustrating. I would not recommend Kersten to anyone. She should have done everything in her power to make things right, but instead, she left me feeling completely ignored and dissatisfied with my hair. If I could leave 0 star review I would! To make matters worse, even the salon owner Diane failed to take any responsibility for the situation. It is clearly stated in the salon's own policy that if a client is unhappy, they will be given the opportunity to have the issue corrected. That promise was completely disregarded. Despite my efforts to address the problem respectfully and through the proper channels, no one took accountability--not even the person in charge. This is absolutely unacceptable and speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and customer care within this establishment. To allow an incompetent colorist to botch a service and then do nothing to rectify it is not only unprofessional, it's downright negligent. This entire experience was a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!!

I asked for simple curtain bangs and the stylist completely butchered the right side of my hair. She told me she was fresh out of cosmetology school and it honestly showed. The cut was uneven, choppy, and way shorter than I asked for. It was so bad that I have been self conscious about my hair ever since. What makes it worse is that my hair has never been the same. I take very good care of my hair and it used to grow evenly and healthy. Three years later and that section still has not grown back properly. I have had to style around it constantly and it has been extremely frustrating. I trusted this salon and left feeling upset and embarrassed.
