First thing you notice when you walk into this place...the decor. Modern and cute (especially their lighting fixtures)--not so typical of a Viet coffee shop/banh mi stand. Seems like they set up behind a grocery store? The back area was a little weird as it looked like an unfinished food court area. The walk to the bathroom can look like a scene out of an Asian gangsta movie. You'll see what I mean--or maybe I watch too much Kdramas. They serve banh mi (sandwiches), a small variety of noodle and rice dishes, coffee, and tea. They have the white tapioca here (which I am still trying to get used to. I still like the original one better). Milk tea and winter melon teas are pretty good. I like WOW's matcha tea better than Phi's though. We also got the Vietnamese street food - rice paper salad. It was decent, kinda tangy. For $5 they give you a decent portion. It's one of those dishes OGs would enjoy snacking with a beer. Banh bot chien (fried flour and egg) was pretty good too. The biggest hit during our visit was their fried banh baos. My friends loved it so much they bought some to-go. I wasn't a fan of it before (when I tried the ones from Houston), but this one was pretty good. I was told to try their Thai green tea and their popular duck soup next time. I would like to try their Mi Quang too. Will definitely be back the next time I am in the Arlington area. They currently have 2 locations: Arlington and Houston. read more

Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised how cute the place was. Pass their counter and you step into a run-down closed restaurant with crap everywhere. They should put a wall up to block that area off. Anyway decided on drinks and was shocked they didn't have boba, didn't have matcha. It's on the menu but apparently they ran out. Barista isn't educated on the menu and when asked for a suggestion he just really didn't know. Ended up with a tea Taiwanese style with pearls and Thai tea. When I asked what was the difference in styles, again no real explanation. Luckily, for me I speak viet and I heard barista tell the other they only had blueberry pearl left. I passed by this restaurant so many times when I go the the market next to it, but I didn't give a try until my friend recommended this restaurant for its bò né. I came and was lucky to meet the owner, telling her that this is my first time here, and let her pick between chao long, nui xao bo, and bo ne for my first experience. We been here a few times. The 1st time was to try their banh mi and the Thai green tea. We loved the Thai green tea but wasn't a huge fan of the banh mi. I got the chicken banh mi and the chicken tasted dry. The 2nd time was for my family who came from out of town. Their friend told them to try it. We got a different variety of food. My boyfriend really liked their hu tieu and they got bonus points for adding quail eggs. I ordered the mi quang and it was okay. We also got tamarind snails and baked clams. Both were okay as well. The green sauce that came with both dish gave it more flavor and kick. Today we went in to try their pho and bun rieu and of course to get more Thai green tea. Their pho was okay they only serve beef pho here. The bun rieu was bland. Service here is okay. Food portion is good. We will be back for the teas and maybe the Hu tieu and pho but I wouldn't order the other stuff again. read more

I always go here for Com tam suon. It comes with shredded pork (bi), sunny side up egg, two spare ribs, veggies and pickled carrots/daikon. Mine had shrimp, pork, qual eggs, and squid. Loved the broth. It had a smokey, chargrilled flavor with a hint of sweetness. The noodles were soft, similar to pho noodles. Loved the quail eggs in it. Don't be afraid of these little eggs. They have a creamy, buttery flavor. I love them. They went well with the soup. I also had a thai green tea. Husband had the singapore milo tea. The decor is aesthetically pleasing so it's great for your Instagram feeds! Every time I come here, I try something new. Came for Sunday brunch after hearing good reviews. Mi quang was good, the fried rice paper was very flavorful and the noodles tasted fresh. Banh canh cua was flavorful the slice pork was a bit chewy. Fried banh bao amazingly wasn't greasy and the dough and meat tasted good but cold. Thai green tea is a must! There is no servers, you order at the counter and the food will be brought out to you. They had no eggrolls, no pho, and no Vietnamese ice coffee on a Sunday. If they had those items available today they would've received 5 stars from me. Been coming here pretty often with family after dinners. It's a cool place to just sit and hang out after a big meal with your favorite people. The inside is really nice and I think they even offer live music from time to time. I haven't been there yet with a live band playing but there's an area by the front door for it. The drinks are on the pricier side for sure. It's not an every day treat by any means. Overall, it's a nice little food court type place with multiple stalls with different eats and treats. I have been there many times. But the last two times were my bad experiences. The staffs are not professional and not nice as well. The lady who took my order is rude. They tried to get it done and I have to asked them many time for my water and my folks. The way they bring food like they tried to get this shit done. I felt not respectful at all. I order ballut ( hot vit lon) but I want it boild. They just have stir with sour sauce. But they didnt tell me. When i come back to ask then they said they dont have boild. They will be annoy if I want something and ask. I believe that Im not a picky client because I understand how hard in service job. So I tried to ask them something like give me cold water and folk . Not sure why the rating is so low for this place, but it's awesome. I came here for a quick breakfast. Grabbed their green Thai tea with white boba, fried bao, and sticky rice with grilled meat. The tea was very good. I usually don't finish drinks but I finished this one. I would really like to try their entire menu. I was limited on time and they had the fried boo available. I've had fried bao in KC and in OC and was not a fan but this one is very yummy. Lots of meat and a thin skin. The sweet rice reminds me of Breakfast in Vietnam, down to the quail eggs. The girl at the cashier was very rude and looked pissed-off the the whole time for no reason. She acted like that towards us and everyone that morning, even towards older people. The interior design is a nice setup with a random wishing fountain in middle of the place. Food &Drinks: they have a large menu on their wall with a wide selection of foods. Vietnamese words were in a large font but the English translations were small and difficult to read. All the dishes that left the kitchen looked mouth-watering delicious! Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry. My main purpose was to try the drinks. There was three boards with drink options. The left side consisted of coffee options. The middle had tea options. And the right side had smoothie, slushie, and soda options. When I went, smoothies and slushies were coming soon; no mixed berries, avocado, etc. So I had to settle for their phi original style black milk tea. It was good. I liked it. Service: the cashiers were attentive. They answered all my questions. The service was quick. No complaints. Overall, I'll come back to try the food. Love this place ! My husband and I drive all the way from Fort Worth just for their drinks, and authentic asian fried rice . Our favorites are the Green thai tea and the Black tea, taiwan style. They layer most of their drinks with a very milky sea salt foam ( similar to a watery whipped cream texture ) Not the healthiest of choices, but very yummy! I recommend this place to any one looking to broaden their milk tea experience. TIP : If you are a typical filipino and like to order avocado smoothies, they usually run out of the avocados fairly quick, so get it when they are available because they are pretty tasty as well ! The fishy smell you get is accounted for by their decent sized food menu including banh mi and noodle and rice dishes. The smell is not too overwhelming, but if you know what an Asian market smells like, this is it. I went about an hour before closing, so when I asked for boba in my oolong milk tea, they had already ran out. I won't hold that against them since it was a little late. I did however get white tapioca and I do not recommend it. I personally did not like the texture. The tea, on the other hand was okay. Not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst.
