I've brought my vehicle in three separate times for the same issue with the control module and electronics, and the problem still has not been resolved. On top of that, I've already paid out of pocket for a new battery and an oil change while trying to deal with this ongoing issue. I had a nightmare experience at this service department. I left my vehicle for AC repair, and it was returned with significant interior damage: deep scratches on the dashboard near the cup holder, and damaged leather. When I brought this to their attention, they deny responsibility for the damage they caused. My biggest mistake was not taking "before" pictures, and they clearly took advantage of that to avoid accountability. After a lot of back-and-forth, they "fixed" the leather, but they did a terrible job. They didn't even bother to smooth it out, it looks cheap and unprofessional. I'm honestly exhausted. read more

What a nightmare .... First, we traded a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2020 for a brand new 2025. A couple of days later (within the same week), the police wake us up in the middle of the night because the traded vehicle was involved in a crime and the VIN indicates that it is ours (????). Now, just under 5 months later, we get a nail in the passenger back tire. We go there on a Sunday ... Closed ... fine. We return on Monday ... they would not fix the tire because we have tire/wheel warranty. They do not have the tire in stock. They will order it overnight ... We go back next day ... the tire arrived defective (????? never heard of a tire from distributor be defective ?????). Okay, they will reorder and we can go back 2 days later. We arrive .... they have not "received" the tire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked them to replace the wheel/tire with the spare, keep the defective wheel/tire, repair it whenever they can and call me back when ready. They would do it for $50 ... but, wait, I have a full warranty in the car and an additional warranty on the wheels/tires. Well, go speak with the Service Center manager. The manager asks for the warranty paper. Hopefully I had it in digital form (PDF) in my phone ... well, we can't really do that because of liability: if we put your spare on and you have an accident, we are liable. So, you cannot service my car/problem and won't provide a temporary solution while you solve your supply chain problem? "Not really, we have hour hands tied up". I exploded: M... F...ers ... go f..k yourselves and your entire unreliable team. I happen to be doing a Masters Degree in Accounting and happen to have learned all about corporate expenses and how to avoid them as much as possible. Meanwhile, they have about ten people laying around, wasting corporate profits, specially if they have heft fringe benefits, and they cannot make a customer satisfied because they cannot have in stock a $200 (or less) tire. Believe it if you want. It is entirely true. How did I solve it? Got to a tire repair shop and got the tire patched .... in less than 20 minutes ... for a flat $35.00. Moral of the story: Do not buy extra insurance. Oh, by the way: when we called the insurance originally to get the tire serviced as a side-road hazard ... The purchase of my K4 GT Turbo went fine, or so I thought. Was offered an extended warranty on infotainment system. I declined. They lowered the price and said they'd throw in Xylon ceramic coating. Living in S FL I accepted, drove back up the following week and waited, they told me the coating was complete. I later found out there is no coating on the car. I've since read this is a common dealer scam. I've called numerous times, no return call. No one in their service dept knows what I'm talking about, and sales had to find someone else to even locate the sale in the computer. The "backend" person who sold me the package is no longer there. Went to go buy a new car, the sales person and I negotiated a deal that he said got approved, then while I was changing insurance and doing the credit check o they can ding my credit report with an inquire, we were chatting and the sales manager came back in the room and said they made a mistake and the month payment increased by $21/Month for 60 months. When I inquired why they said they thought it was a lease not a purchase. We started removing things from trade in car to new car and covert the insurance and canceling the insurance on the old car. Then we went to the finace manager and when he produced the contract nothing matched the agreement and the payment went up again, I said that was not what we agreed to and he brought the sales manager into the room, and the sales manager kept saying the line item is sales tax on my trade in. I said the trade in is more than the new car so there is no sales tax, he started to argue with me and say stuff that makes no sense and then puts my daughter in tears by saying he decided he not going to sell the new car to us after dinging my credit report and having me transfer my insurance and cancelling the insurance on the trade, anyway we left after my daughter pleaded with him to sell her the car, she was in tears I left with my duaghter and on the way home the new car manager called and said come back tommorrow and they will sell me the car at the higher price. Do you think I would go back after they put my duaghter in tears and lied and committed fraud, all i wanted was the paperwork that my daughter and i were to sign match what we agreed to. I checked my mather and their math and what I negoiated at the APR they told me I was paying they were overcharging me and hiding things in the final paperwork again the final paperwork should match the agreed deal. Anyway we are now looking for a new car somewhere else and did not buy from this dealership that tried to scam us. BUYER BEWARE, in my opinion this PHIL SMITH KIA is a fraudster and dishonest and refused to even let me look over the worksheet we agreed to or give me a copy telling me it was an internal document. I have one word to describe the service department - INEFFICIENT!! Made an appointment for a recall on my car. When I came in for the appointment, they just look at the car and then order the parts to repair the recall, so then you have to make another appointment to bring in the car for the actual repair. How does this make any sense? They know exactly what I'm bringing the car in for when I make the initial appointment. Then, when I come in for the actual repair, I am left waiting around with no follow up. I strongly suggest an efficiency expert be hired to come in and fix this process and I'm sure many other issues that I have yet to encounter. So I will give you the information and save you some time. They add an additional $2000 to the price of the vehicle for dealer service fee. They added another fee called documents for $1400. There's obviously taxes. we were told we'd get a $2500 discount if we financed which was not true. There was even a $500 off coupon advertise on their website that wasn't true either. So the $31,000 vehicle was really $37.000. Plus a huge waste of our time they dragged out every single aspect of the sale, and we didn't end up buying anything. Yesterday I went here to see the different colors of the Kia Soul and the sales guy literally asked me why I was going to Carvana instead of a traditional car dealership. I told him the issue, and he gave reasons he could get me into a car. After just 5 minutes - "Oh we can't do it". Now because of his freaking ego, my credit score just got lowered and he acted as if he did not even care. When a customer is telling you, "I HAVE A LOT OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY ON MY CREDIT" - that should be number one to say, 'Okay, I can show you what colors and you can come here to get it serviced'. I'm thinking that would be my first guess as a sales guy instead allowing my ego to take over. Some of these sales guys need to be fined when they do things like this. Horrible finance Dept. Just obtain your own financing...and don't tell them you have financing , until you've made the deal. I was told that I would save 2k if I financed and I could pay off the loan if I wanted to after 90 days. I have an above the average credit score. I was exhausted by the time I had signed the papers (being in there for hours) with this finance man. I was charged 7% financing when they advertised on TV 1.5% . And the worst part was is Kia sent me a letter telling me that I was denied financing, clearly the right hand doesn't communicate with the left hand. I did end up later paying the entire amount off and getting out of that crazy financing. Felt like I was duped . I also want to mention that you don't get the warranty that you do if you go to Toyota or Honda, which were the other dealerships that I had visited. The financing was a complete ripoff and shady. When the electronics get too complicated for this old brain, he helps, to this day, by giving me 15 minute lessons in chunks I can absorb. I had a flat tire the other day, his day off, but he was the first person I called. His own wife told him if roadside assistance didn't show up promptly, he was going to come out to change the tire for me, day off or not. Initially I was having a good experience I couldn't get the car I wanted so they helped me get into a car that I was able to afford. This car is a 2020. They had it on the lot for a couple days before I came in and when they gave it to me, it was filthy on the inside. my fiancé went and picked it up one night and brought it to me, so I was not able to look at the interior before it was brought to me. Had a low oil issue two weeks after my first oil change at the Kia dealership. The first several times I called the call was picked up by an automatic answer machine. I left a message and callback info but never got a call back. Next day I called several more times and finally got to speak to someone who took down the info and promised the "service manager" would call back. Never got the call back. Took the car to the dealership (without an appointment) and explained the issue, however the dealership could not spare a few minutes to look at what went wrong with their service and wanted to schedule an appointment for next week. On the way back home I stopped at Tire Kingdom in Boca Raton and asked if they could check it out. Curt at Tire Kingdom looked at the car immediately, checked the oil level (bare minimum), put it up on the lift and determined it was not low due to an issue with the filter or plug leaking. Curt topped off the oil and returned the car to me within 15 minutes of my stopping into the shop, with NO CHARGE. Busy or not the dealership should have taken the time to deal with this. It could have been much worse than not putting in sufficient oil, and they should want to know what went wrong with their service. read more
