I have lived in Bay Ridge my entire life (of 21 years) lol I have passed by this little small place about a million times! Never once did I think to order anything from there. Recently, I heard that they have great pizza and Philly cheesesteaks...but still not giving them a try. Today my boss said were ordering from there, I'm like oh boy Alright, I chose the grilled vegetables with grilled chicken. can't wait to order this delicious chicken and grilled veggies (onions, broccoli, zucchini, etc) again! I was going to have their cheesesteak, but at the last minute, I changed my mind and went for the pasta. Had to wait about ten minutes for it while cooked it up - rigatoni siciliano, and I asked them to top it off with a sliced italian sausage - so I went next door and grabbed some grocery grub, chips, etc. Turns out that rigatoni was good - very good! Um...no. I need to disagree STRONGLY about the pizza. We ordered two of their "gourmet" pizzas and an order of onion rings. The onion rings were good. The pizza...well, as I was eating it, the word that came to mind was - dreary. Surprising association for food, but there you have it. First, they got the order wrong (but the stuff was sooooo disappointing, we didn't bother to call and complain, knowing we wouldn't be ordering from them again - at least, not the pizza). We ordered a "funghi" pizza but were given a "marinara." The other we ordered, the "quattro stagione," was made incorrectly. "Quattro stagione" means "four stations." In a properly made pizza, that means each quarter of the pie contains a different topping. Here, all four toppings were spread (rather skimpily, except for the mozzarella) across the pie: that's NOT a "quattro stagione" pizza. And about that mozzarella: I have no doubt it was fresh, as claimed, BUT...the stuff didn't melt properly; it globbed in large, rubbery sheets across the pie. Now, mozzarella on pizza NEEDS to be MELTED, not dry and gloppy: my guess is that it might have been a low-fat mozzarella (just a guess), but when I'm ordering pizza, I'm really not thinking much about limiting the fat content! The other toppings were good, and to give PG their due, the sauce was really quite good, light, fresh-tasting, very good pronounced fresh-tomato flavor. But the sauce was totally wasted on...ugh, that AWFUL crust. Horrible, horrible - some of the WORST pizza crust I think I've ever had. It was everything a pizza crust SHOULDN'T be: tough and Sahara-dry, plain old hard instead of crispy, bland and flavorless. And did I mention DRRRRRRYYYY? I didn't eat the crust ends - anyone who knows me knows how unprecedented THAT is. Most of the two pies went into the trash. What a waste of money. Because the onion rings were good, we might try heros some day - maybe. But my search for really fine pizza in Bay Ridge, sadly, mjust continue. read more

WOW! I can't believe no one has reviewed this yet. It is sort of out of the beaten path,all the way down by the parks here, so I guess people aren't noticing it. But I have to tell you, you MUST try this place! This is some of THE best pizza you will find in Brooklyn! For real. Plus they make an amazingly good philly cheese steak that they are really known well for, it tastes just like the ones I have gotten when in Philly! Thier heroes are perfect too. Everything here is perfect. They are always very busy and people are espeically crazy for thier cheese steaks,they advertise as the "best cheese steaks in NYC",I don't know if that is 100% true,but I haven't come across any here that are as good. The pizza has quality toppings and is never very greasy. They have an amazing Quattro Stagioni pie that I really recommend.One thing though is there is not much sitting room,only 2 stools inside and a small table outside,so like only 3 people could actually sit to eat here,so take your food to go,and if it is a nicer day there is a park right across the street and it's always nice to sit there and eat. read more

First time having a cheesesteak sandwich in Brooklyn and it is surprisingly delicious! I had the cheesesteak with onion. It was prepared well - first, they grilled up the onion, then added the steak in and finally, topped it with white cheese . All that delicious steak, onion & cheese went into a slightly toasted soft hero. On top of this, this sandwich is not greasy which I pefer! I'll be back! read more
