    $4.95 each skewer WORTH IT

We love their pinakbet (mixed vegetables with pork and/or shrimp) and chicken inihaw (grilled on a stick) and buy them every visit. Everyone is nice, sometimes they give my mom samples, and they let her have extra sabaw (broth) when she asks. I think the food here tastes better than the hot food in seafood city. I wish they had an Island Pacific and PhilHouse where we live. On inclement weather days, the cafeteria style seating can get cold.

Good breakfast and flavorful. Standard pricing and a clean area. Fast, friendly service. Lots of food options. Will be back to eat here again.

I ordered some dishes for Christmas and it took forever to place an order. They have 1 register for customers paying for hot dishes and to place an order. It took forever to place an order, they have promos to order but the cashier and manager don't even know about it. The funny thing is the promos on the board.

Delicious food all the time. I ordered Kare Kare, barbecue & rice with dinuguan. Their Tocino breakfast plates are good too! Next time I'll order chicken skin & lumpiang shanghai.

So grateful they were open yesterday despite it being Easter Sunday. I traveled all day and skipped lunch. I made it to PhilHouse just in time to grab a meal. They offer 3 options (one, two or three ulams which you could get either rice or pancit with, pancit is Filipino style chowmein or half and half of both). I chose the two option one since I wanted to take home some leftovers. I chose pinakbet which is a vegetarian dish with squash, string beans, eggplants and bittermelon. I also chose chicken barbecue in a skewer. They were gonna close for the day in about an hour so the lady ended up giving me an extra chicken barbecue! Score! The dipping vinegar is really tasty too. I paid $16.99 for everything which is an amazing value for California. Wish we had an Island Pacific in New England!

    Pork Sisig

I got to try this place thru Door Dash. It was quick and easy and I love Filipino food. I do have to take away a star because I ordered half rice and half pancit, but they gave me double rice. The pork Sisig was my favorite. It was cooked well and I loved the citrus flavor. The Bicol express was also great, it was spicy and flavorful. I just wish I got a chance to try the pancit.

    Kare kare

My son brought me back a large kare kare from here and what a HUGE disappointment this was. It's very watery, missing peanut butter flavor and barely any meat just mostly vegetables! It has no flavor whatsoever. I've been craving kare kare for 3 days now and this was NOT good at all.

Chicken and pork bbq skewers, plus tray of pancit

I like their combo plates with all-pancit (though you can get half and half with rice), especially the kaldereta (upcharge for beef), kare-kare and BBQ pork skewers (chicken are OK). Be warned that sisig is charged by the pound and not just the size of the container! Their grilled/fried items such as jeprox, smelt, pompano, tilapia, squid, or happork/kapalmuks (pig face) are more specialty. Not usually a breakfast person here though. Recently, ordered some party trays for pickup: pancit and mixed BBQ chicken and pork skewers to complement our other order from another place: kaldereta, fresh lumpia sariwa, and dessert tray (karioka, turon, palitaw, kutsinta, maja blanca). To be honest, I would have preferred the kaldereta from PhilHouse and maybe some fried lumpia shanghai too. The pancit came with some pieces of lechon on top, but no lemon/citrus on the side. The BBQ skewers marinade/glaze was a little bit more on the sour side than spicy this time, but still good. I forget if the hot items are actually labeled, but you can always ask.

Awesome food! Always my favorite quick take out. Employees are awesome. They really cater to your needs.

So family and I drove from the bay back to sac. My kids and I wanted to have some Filipino food and the food I wanted they said they can't serve us. Every dish that was out the said the food is no good but was serving a guy in front of us. Mind you I am Filipino and my husband is black and my kids are mixed. They were very disrespectful and I felt they were racist towards us. Never coming back

The sauce in the skillet was not too heavy or sweet. It had a nice balanced flavor. All the different foods that came on the skillet were good. The meatball was a tad sweet for me. The baguette was warm and crispy. So good. Very good dish and one of the better ones I've had. Grilled rib eye rice combo: 5/5. I could be wrong, but I thought the beef had a slight lemongrass flavor that I love. The meat was tender. We got the garlic rice with it and it definitely elevates the flavors. Would recommend trying it with the garlic rice Egg rolls: 5/5. Came out nice and hot and crispy. The flavor is on the lighter side, but I thought it was flavorful enough.
