I live in Roseville and don't make it out to south sac very often. I have wanted to try this place for the longest time. So over the weekend when I had to make a trip to Elk Grove I snatched up the opportunity to stop and bring some food home. I downloaded the app, created an account because I definitely want points and rewards. I also want to order ahead. My very first order was 2 piece chicken meal with spaghetti and mashed potatoes and gravy. It also came with the peach mango pie and the pineapple drink. When getting there my husband goes to pick up the order while I waited in the car with our dog. They were very busy inside and in the drive through so I expected a bit of a wait time. It started to get excessively long so I called him to ask what's going on. He goes to the counter to ask the status of the order. The guy asked for the order info so he gave it to him. He looks around and tells my husband they have no info on my order. That doesn't make sense. So he goes through a bunch of other customers receipts and he found mine. He laughed and told my husband oh I guess we put it to the side and forgot to make the order. Say what? Are you kidding me? They made it then. Strike one on lousy customer service. But maybe the food will make up for it? Yes and no. So my husband brings the food out and the plan was to bring it home to eat. I decided nope I need to try this now because I'm hungry and excited to eat this. I open the spaghetti. Looked good. Tasted better than it looks. I was in love and hooked immediately. My husband took a bite and didn't like it. His loss. More for me. It was a small side so I ended up just eating the whole thing. In the meantime I decided I also wanted to try the burger steak since I don't come often. He goes n to order it and I eat the mashed potatoes and gravy. Best fast food mashed potatoes and gravy I've ever had. Finished that off too lol. He brings the burger steak out. I was going to take the rest home but I wanted 1 bite of the burger steak. The container they used had a hole in the back and they 500 gallons of mushroom gravy ended up spilling over the side down on my bare legs (wearing shorts) and it was hot. At least I'll give them that. Hot, very hot and it's burned my legs. I still have my legs attached so it could be worse. Whatever. I try it. Not impressed. I took the rest home and ate it later because I wasn't going to waste food. But I absolutely wouldn't get that again. It was burnt, bland, dry. Even the Pacific Ocean amount of gravy didn't help the dryness. I ate the chicken at home. Very good chicken. Very juicy and tender. Skin was still crispy even after the drive back to Roseville. I also enjoyed the pie and the pineapple drink I just wish the drink could come in a bigger size. They are opening one in Roseville. I'm not sure when but it seems soon. And I can't wait. I'm definitely going to be a frequent flyer for that spaghetti. The bee outside was cute and I saw a few people taking selfies with it. My husband said the inside seemed clean. Jollibee brings me nostalgic vibes from when I was a kid in the Philippines . Their "World Famous" ChickenJoy and my beloved spaghetti and the savory Peach Mango Pie. My ultimate favorite from them. Sadly, the Sacramento branch tends to mess up our order. Yesterday was the 3rd time we encountered problems with our order. We purchased the 12pcs Bucket Family Meal with 5 sides. Upon ordering, we clearly said 6 spicy, 6 original. We know the two employees taking our order understood it since they repeated it to clarify the order. At home, we found out that they gave us all original instead of the initial 6/6. We live over an hour away only to get an order different from what we expected. Inside and to the left of the main entrance are the self service kiosks, which is where I placed my order and paid by tap . First peeps who aren't comfortable with using the self service kiosk the Jollibee door greeter will help walk you through the tech format or you cashier will ring you up old school style at the counter. Ordered Uber Eats from here because I've been wanting to try their new chicken joy nuggets. The nuggets were crispy and dipping sauce was of course gravy. We also ordered a 6 piece basket with spicy chicken. We also got a few pineapple quenchers to drink something refreshing. Our meals also came with mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was extremely dry (how can a chicken thigh be soooo dry???), and there is very little spice even though we ordered spicy fried chicken. The crispy skin is still there, but the juicyness has been toned down. Idk why this Jolibee has only 3 stars I think they do a great job and the service is good for them being so busy at times! I've made most of my orders through DoorDash and I when I have to make a change to my order I call them and they are always happy to make the change with no complaints. I never have complaints about the food or the quality of the food it's always consistent and I'm rarely in Elk Grove but when I am I always make sure I stop by and grab something from them! Jollibee is delicious but this location is consistently delayed with processing and fulfilling online orders. I don't understand how things are prioritized, but the times we've ordered online, our food is never ready when the app says it's ready. Today, we showed up 20 minutes past ready notification and still had to wait an extra 15 minutes for our food to be packed up. Waited over 50 minutes for my 12-piece spicy chicken bucket, only to find 10 pieces when I got home. I was furious and absolutely disappointed. This was my first time at this location. There was no line to order, yet over 20 people were waiting for their food. I figured it wouldn't take long for a single bucket, but I was wrong. If an order is going to take nearly an hour, staff should warn customers upfront. There were plenty of workers in the kitchen, but service was painfully slow. I watched the whole time (no cell service to doom scroll and kill time), and the team seemed disorganized and not in any hurry. When I finally got my order, it didn't include napkins or utensils either. I'd be more understanding if there was a legit reason for the slow service, but after reading many other reviews, it seems this is common issue for this location. This place should be investigated.. Chaos. The only word to describe my experience at Jollibee. I was in south Sac yesterday and we were hitting all the Asian markets. Decided to go to Seafood City and then Jollibee before we head home. I am a huge fan of ordering ahead and picking up so as my mom went into Seafood City, I placed my order, even with preorder it was a long wait time, order placed 6:15 for pickup at 6:49. When I finally got the email that my food was ready, I went to get in the drive thru and the line was insane. So I thought it'd be easier to park and go in. Wrong. Finally found a spot in the lot and went in to just a room full of people. On the left was the winding line to order food and then on the right, was a pickup board with numbers for the store orders. People were just standing there in front of the pick up area. My food took another 20 minutes to get to me after being put together. The workers were great and polite, but the need to fix their system. I don't see any other places that get this way when they're busy. The food took a back burner to this bad experience and I probably won't be coming back here. read more

Usually when we get fried chicken to go, it's no longer crispy, but Jollibee is not a "usual" in that sense. By the time we drove the fried chicken a good 30+ minutes home, it was still crispy. There seems to be a lot of upset people with this Jollibee, with the main gripe being wait times. I personally have not experienced any of that luckily. I was driving home from Kaiser a couple months ago and accidentally made a wrong turn. I am so thankful I did because as I was driving I saw Jollibee in the distance. I was on the phone and my exact reaction was "Holy shit there's a Jollibee in Sacramento?!?" so you better believe I turned right on in to give it a try. Now I ordered myself a chicken sandwich deluxe with fries, a peach mango pie, and the spaghetti. The second time I went I got myself the Angus deluxe, and 2 piece spicy chicken joy with palabok. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious and the fries were solid. It wasn't the best chicken sandwich I've ever had but it was great. The Spaghetti.... I honestly just ordered because I've never heard of a fast food place offering spaghetti and I was curious. It was definitely a unique flavor. It was sweet in the same way that barbecue sauce is, but I don't think it was barbecue. The spaghetti wasn't my favorite but It wasn't awful. The Deluxe Burger was amazing especially for the price of it. My friend and I have been going around rating all the burger places in the county and I can't wait to come back and do the same here. Chicken Joy blew my expectations out of the water. I got the spicy 2 pc and I regret not having gotten a bigger size. It was juicy, packed with flavor, crispy, and all around one of the better fried chickens I've had. It came with gravy that I didn't use with the meal, but instead used on mashed potatoes that I made for dinner that night. Gravy was delicious. Lastly the Palabok wasn't really my thing. I've heard that it's amazing but to me it was a bit gritty. Flavor-wise it was decent but I'm such a texture person that I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. I know they're opening a location in Roseville which will be closer to me, and I cannot wait to visit them once they're open. I went to the counter to ask for my order. They were still working on it. I don't understand. There were so many people working. Elbow to elbow. I got my order shortly after complaining. Since this is the only Jollibee around the Sacramento region (for now), expect that there will always be a line, a wait, a crowd, and some really tasty food waiting for you at the end. I say it's worth it. I love a good, crunchy fried chicken that's not oily or salty. The 'bee does it right every time. Comes regular or spicy, and the spicy is spicy, y'all! I always upgrade my side to the adobo rice. It's so good! If you're a purist, you can go with the steamed white rice, fries, or mashed potatoes and gravy. Make sure you get a large side of gravy! It's amazing on the chicken, rice, fries, or mashed potatoes. Trust me on that. I'm not a fan of the "Filipino-style" sweet spaghetti, but I would definitely try the pancit palabok. I've also never had the burger steak (hamburger patty), so that's on the to try list also. But that "chickenjoy" and gravy...OMG! Service is slow and always seems chaotic. I skip the drive thru and just go inside. Pro tip: order online an hour before you want it and hopefully when you go pick it up, you'll only be waiting a few minutes. LOL That's how it is! Doesn't matter what the time of pick up is that your confirmation says. Just expect to wait. Staff are nice but you need to be assertive (not rude!) to get someone's attention in that pick up line. For my birthday, I wanted to get Jollibee, as I had been craving it since moving to the area. I went in and ordered a 12 piece bucket, feeling a bit hungry after a hike. Although the line to order was not long, it took almost an hour for us to receive our food. Not only did I have to wait nearly an hour, but they didn't even give me my full 12 pieces! We only received 10. There were many customers waiting for their food ahead of me as well. The part that made this situation worse was that the employees behind the counter did not show any signs of urgency to get the food orders out quickly. The staff did more talking/conversing with each other more than actually preparing food orders. The entire restaurant was packed with customers sitting, standing, all waiting impatiently. I've been to other Jollibee locations in the Bay Area, with higher traffic flow coming through the restaurant, and yet the most I would wait would be 15 minutes. I do not recommend this location to anyone. What should have been a fun moment to grab some birthday dinner, turned into a disastrous experience that made me leaving bitter and disgruntled. read more
