    Proof I was here and not just a hater!

    TLDR: Find any other place to buy or sell your vehicle, this place passes none of the vibe checks. Phillips Chevrolet is by far the worst place I've ever been to that has bought and/or sold cars, and I've been to quite a few places across the country. I am currently typing this out as I wait for the fourth hour in their show room... please shop ANYWHERE else and give your money to a good company that values you as a person. Phillips might offer a lower value than Kelly's Book Value at first, but please believe me when I saw this is too good to be true. If you do end up saving any money, you will pay it back in full and then some with your time. To prove that I have noticed many things wrong with this "place of business" over the past four hours, and that I'm not just a riled up impatient human, I've decided to share a few of the things I noticed that were off with this place: 1.) They use their sales/leasing consultants as the friendly face of their business and show room. Once they sit you down and listen to your story, they'll be very nice until the point of financing comes up. At this point, they'll send in a "pricing manager" that will try to convince you why they can't budge on price at all. Don't trust the stats they'll try to throw at you, you can bet that they're just trying to support their argument with arbitrary numbers. (Once they relocated me as I mention in point 4 below, I overheard employees actually talking about how they were waiting on a specific customer to come back and accept their original price, going as far as to say "I know they'll accept our price, don't worry, just give it time". Absolutely atrocious customer service. 2.) Their team, from walking in to walking out with a car, consists of 3-4 different parts/teams. While they will expect you to wait patiently, they are often banking on the fact that you won't want to start a scene by saying anything. In reality, their teams are often pushed beyond capacity, creating a backlog that will have you waiting a total of HOURS regardless of if you have an appointment or a walk-in. 3.) The second point above would be better if: the teams actually communicate with each other. After waiting for 3.5 hours for the various "other parties" involved in the process, the dealership finally took out the car I purchased to fill it up with gas. Because they didn't communicate with their service team. At all. For over 3 hours. 4.) After waiting for a long period of time (in my case 4 hours), they will move you to another part of the showroom, out of sight from other customers, to create the illusion that people are actually being helped and leaving! The gimmicks at this place are next to none (as far as car dealerships go). 5.) Everyone in the showroom that isn't an employee is viewed as just a means to an end, so even if you save a few bucks at the end of the day, your money is much better spent at a company that values you as a person and not just a potential addition to their bottom line. To the general manager that I noticed wasn't in store at all today but never fails to respond to these reviews: Mike, I've been on yelp for over a decade and this is the first time I've had service so terrible I felt the need to post a bad review. You should invest in your team through implicit bias training, customer service lessons, and overall customer transparency instead of telling people to provide more information in their reviews so they can be identified and reached out to. There's a reason I left out identifying information about myself, as no call from you or one of the other managers can apologize enough for the disservice experienced together. Not only will I never recommend this place to a loved (or hated) one, I will encourage people to not even glance in this place's direction. I will continue to raise awareness about my poor experience here, so that fellow Americans and POCs in the area will never think about wasting their time and money here.

    Passenger roof leak

    If I could put no stars I would! Phillips Chevy never seems to have a good outcome... none of them not one of the 3 locations. I called and tried to make an appointment to have my roof looked at for a leak and they are telling me they have no loaners (of course) and that they would have to keep my car for a month to even diagnose it like wtf is going on here so go a month without my car or a loaner... nice to see what my $400 a month car payment goes too... will never be buying from a Chevy dealer again not to mention a two month wait to get a complementary oil change do better Phillips!

    If you really like Chevy, this is the place to go! Lisa, the saleswoman was very kind, knowledgeable and professional. I was very impressed with the overall dealership. I had a very positive experience here. Phillips Chevrolet has been rated the number one Chevy dealership in Illinois!

The woman that represented the co was much more courteous than the man who owned it, in my opinion (as he sold me the warranty, she sold me the utility SUV). I found it more affordable to supplement with AAA; it more conveniently supplements the needs of your vehicle. As for the vehicle itself, the pre-existing issues were not disclosed to me. Luckily they weren't necessities for it to run. I paid cash, I got no discount for doing so. All in all, I'd recommend the place to someone who knows a thing or two about or is looking for a non-luxury foreign vehicle from the mid 2000's, just before 2010, for a little bit too much money.     This is the single best, most honest auto repair shop in Frankfort. They're so honest about exactly what you need done, what you can skip that a dealer will try to sell you, and do it all at a reasonable price. Most recently, I brought in my daughter's Jeep Wrangler for an inspection before her Spring Break road trip. Besides noting it was due for brake and filter changes, Angel also noticed an oil leak. Rather than trying to gouge me for a diagnosis, he told me to take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. Sure enough, it was a damaged oil pan that had to be replaced- under my warranty. Many shops would try to quote you a price and do it, but I appreciate it when these guys tell me to take the cars to the dealers when there's a big problem. Just the best place- I wish more businesses were like this. The world would be a better place: 5 stars, absolutely the best in the business.

I spent over 30 minutes chatting with him about cars, life and kids. He is an incredibly honest business owner and it was clear that I found my new spot. He took care of my problem and I couldn't be happier with the result. EVERYONE should trust Angel and his shop for all of their needs. I loved their lobby setup as well. A+ gets a huge A+ from me!
