I brought my car in for a routine oil change and microphone check on my 2018 suburban. The trucks factory warranty just expired by 500 miles as well. They told me my Bluetooth microphone was broke and that it would be 600$ to repair. I asked if they could honor the warranty since it was so close out of expiration and they told me no. We purchased this truck from Phillips and have brought it there for all of its service. I'd also like to mention the Bluetooth speaker started working 1 day after bringing it in. My husband decided to bring it to another dealership, Mike Anderson Chevy in Indiana just to have the car looked over again. They offered us a software upgrade which was free, Phillips had not offered us that, nor were we told the truck needed one. 2nd, the dealership honored the warranty to fix the microphone even though it was working again because it was so close to being out of warranty. We will never bring our truck to this location again, even though we live in the area. The customer service here is terrible and they clearly don't care about customer loyalty either. Dishonest dealer -Bait and switch tactics at work -phillips chevy in Frankfort listed a 2021 Silverado LT for $47805on their website and car gurus. When I called they told me the truck came with the running boards as seen in the listing, it was late on Saturday and they asked me to call back on Tuesday after Labor Day. On Tuesday the sales guy told me the price wast actually $47805 it was $49400 or $1600 more than listed. Why ? well because they say the added running boards and a bed liner.I told them the name of the sales person that gave me that price Saturday, to which they replied thats the internet people, and they don't know how it works ? How it works is, list it lower than the competition then jack it up when someone is interested. I bought my Silverado at an honest dealer Bob Jass chevy and as I'm writing this out 5 days later it is still listed on car gurus at $47899. The sales guy also tried to tell me it takes some time to get things changed online, huh it's 2021 I don't think it's the time, I just think it's it's the same old trick of BAIT n SWITCH. I'm pleased to report that, while we were initially very unhappy with receiving our car back in soiled condition, Phillips Chevy did do everything reasonable to address our issues. After we told them the condition of our car, they apologized and told us they would detail it at their expense, They fully detailed our entire car, even though we said only the front seats and rugs needed to be cleaned. That was really lovely to have our car returned to us in such pristine condition! They also looked further into our service light issue, since the update to the software didn't seem to make a dent. They found, what was explained to me, the mechanical aspect of our exhaust intake was clogged and they blew as much 'junk' out with an air compressor as they could. They said that if the light goes back on, chances are the part will need to be replaced. (It's a nearly $800 part, so we're praying the light doesn't go on again!) So while it was inconvenient to have to return a second day, they DO stand behind their work, and happily it wasn't the hassle I imagined it might be. (The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sales/tech guy who I had been dealing with on Day 1 was completely unavailable and we had to track down a manager to get our issues addressed, AND he was also gone both Day 1 AND Day 2 before I returned to pick up my car, which I found annoying as I had to flag a completely different person down to get info back on my car as well as the keys.) read more

They falsely advertise their used cars as GM certified with warranties when they aren't actually certified vehicles. I bought a 2016 "GM certified" Malibu from the Bradley location. After a week of owning the car they called me to tell me they can't GM warranty my car because it has a bent frame. They use AutoCheck when GM requires CarFax to certify. They lie to your face and know what they are doing. They commit fraud and falsely advertise with a smile. read more

I wanted to rate lower then 1 but it won't let me. We bought a 2015 Silverado in April 2020. We purchased the extended warranty with it. We needed to have service on the A/C and 4 wheel drive. It took 5 phone calls just to get a he service department. They told us it would be a week just to get an appointment and that a loaner would not be given to us. We tried our salesman Rami. He avoided our calls and wouldn't call back. We had to contact the general manager to get help. After doing so we received a loaner and the truck was serviced in less then 24 hours. They had plenty of excuses why they couldn't help us. I would not deal with any of the Phillips dealerships. They will give you the run around and avoid you. Rami sold us on the warranty and then they didn't want to honor it. Avoid these people at all costs. read more

The services department is a ripoff. I visited the dealership to get a diagnosis for a problem where my car randomly cuts off on me while driving. Since I don't. Have any control, not even power steering, I tried my best to relay to them the severity of the problem. Before I left I explained to the service manager Dave, that my key was physically broken, and I did NOT want a new key. Just the electrical issues diagnosed. Dave agreed, and told me to check back the next day. After a full 24 hours later, I called to speak with Chris ( the woman that my case was transferred to). She explained that the only way to diagnose an electrical problem, is to pay the $200 they wanted to charge me to get the key fixed! I refused and I'm happy they didn't charge me, but the service was ridiculously bad. How does it take a full 24 hours to diagnose a broken key? Even if I was a walk in it would've made more since, but I had an appointment for service. Furthermore, I never claim to be a mechanic, however I've taken the car to a number of places, and even auto zone was able to test the battery and alternator with the key broken. The service seemed lazy and sleezy. Please take your car elsewhere. ***Update***** Just checked my yelp account and saw that Michael M. From Phillips Chevrolet responded. He seemed to promise correspondence, but I have yet to receive any. I updated this post early September of 2017. read more

Honestly worst service department I've dealt with. Dropped my car off in beginning of May to have the harmonic balancer replaced on my corvette. Asked the service man Brad just to update me when anything happened with the car and what not. I must note, the car was bought from a dealer and I had purchased an extended warranty with the vehicle. The car was there for two and a half weeks for a 6hr job. Realistically can be done in 3 hours. Was never called to have an update on wether the work was approved from the warranty company, never told parts were ordered, never told work started on my car, etc. I called 2 weeks after dropping the car off and was lied to from 2 employees, one being Brad, the other I don't remember their name. The vehicle was done 3 days after me calling and complaining. When I go to pick up the vehicle, there is no work order.. I was told I would get a copy when vehicle was completed and I took the car home. I then was lied to again because I was taking the car home and didn't get a copy of it. I paid my deductible of $100 and was told they would mail me a copy of the order. 3 weeks later I get a text from a man named Dan, saying would I rather come get my copy or have it mailed. I said mail because I was out of town. Here we stand today July 6, 2017, car has been out of shop for 6 weeks and I had to drive to phillips Chevy to get my copy of the work order that I need for my records. Spoke to the service manager, he was extremely extremely nice and got me a copy in less than 60 seconds. But the nightmare doesn't end there, I leave the dealer, to get home and notice grease on my bumper, and passenger side fender. Then I did an oil change a week later, while jacking the vehicle up, I noticed on BOTH sides, the tech absolutely destroyed my side skirts, from putting the car on the lift, and they are all cracked under the car and now becoming more visible as they make their was up the side skirt. It is FIBER GLASS, it cracks easy. If your tech doesn't know how to jack up a car, please don't allow him to. Overall, my vehicle will not be brought back to Phillips Chevrolet of Frankfort. I do NOT trust their quality of work, their honesty, and most importantly the service is absolutely terrible as well with the quality of work from the tech. read more

Purchased a new Malibu in 2014 with the full bumper to bumper extended warranty. Saturday I brought the car in for a scheduled oil change. The night before the check engine light went on. I was told that they could take care of it with the oil change. On Sunday the check engine light went back on. I called this morning to get the car in to be fixed. I was told I can't bring it in on Saturday. Next appointment was on Monday, and I couldn't have a car to get to work. So they "fixed" my car on Saturday, but won't support their work. This is one example of the very poor service that I have received since my purchase. I will NEVER purchase another car from them again. read more

Worst service department I have ever seen. Made us bring our car back three times because they did not believe that the computer screen was not working. It worked intermittently and had been a problem while under warranty and then just after the warranty ended it crapped out and they charged us $200. We spent $60,000 in the past two years at this dealership and I can't believe this is how you warranty your product. They would not fix the screen because they need to see it broken!!! What happened to the customer is always right? They actually think that the screen was working but we were trying to scam them out of a new one??? Who would have time to bring a car in three times for a screen that is working? I have owned chevys my entire life but I think it might be time to move on. read more

Shame on me when I purchased a new conversion van from Phillips Chevy, they changed numbers in the paperwork that specially told them I didn't want. First, My name is Ryan, I own a business and I contently buy vehicles for myself and the growing company so I know a thing or two about car dealerships, that's probably why my buddy and his wife asked me to tag along twice to this dealership. The first visit was horrible so horrible I went back 2 days later and spoke with the management (Henry), the 2nd visit well my buddy and his wife had their eye on a used 3500 Truck and I had my eye on a 3/4 Ton Pick Up for my company, lets talk about the 3/4 Ton Truck, I have 1 rule, NEVER TEST DRIVE A CAR WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON! I asked if they could pull it around to service and see why the light is on, I was told it would take a week. My buddy wanted to go for a test drive in the truck he liked so he did, the Salesman Brian Krammer, said its ok, you don't need your car seats just put your 1 year old in your lap. WOW, a sales rep encouraging you to break the law, first off both my buddies children need car seat/boosters, she is 7 years old and still required by LAW not ethics or good parenting the LAW to be in a booster seat and unless my buddy is married to Brittney Spears the 1 year old can't sit in your lap. So they went for a drive and I went inside and found Henry from my first visit follow up and said, Hey I need to buy a truck today or tomorrow and the check engine light it on and your sales guy says a week to tell me why, what can you do for me. He said don't worry about it they will pull it into service first thing in the morning and will have an answer by NOON the next day. The sales man Brain Krammer, he starts at 1pm the next day, fine. I call at 2:30 and he's not available, I call at 3:05 and he is out at lunch (2 hours after the start of his shift), horrible customer service and ethics here. read more

I have purchased 3 cars from Phillips Chevrolet and each time they have matched what I wanted and needed plus reflected what was going on in my life. The first time I bought a car here I was an overwhelmed, busy out of my mind, single mom. My oldest was turning 16, I would finally have some real help on car pooling by giving her my car and buying myself a new one. I called the dealership and asked to speak to a female saleswoman and I explained I wanted a purple cavalier but I had no time to come in. She brought the car to me right after teaching and car pooling. I drove it, said what's your best price and bought it on the spot and never once visited the showroom. The second time my youngest needed a car for work and we could not get our 110,000+ mile clunker to pass emissions testing. My husband and I went in with her to buy the cheapest car in America - an Aveo. We said we wanted one with manual steering, a radio and a/c. There was one car on the lot with those specifications, my husband did the negotiating and we bought it. They have subsequently sent us post cards seeking to buy the car back due to a demand for that kind of car. Finally, my current car we bought there over two years ago. I wanted a Hybrid so I could get the tax break. My husband was very busy traveling but squeezed in a day. We went in armed with lots of print outs from the internet and this was the most traditional purchase - lots of threatening to leave etc. But I got my Malibu hybrid and love it. I have had really good luck with the service department as well, they are very interested in getting good survey results. I have been very pleased with this dealership. It is a dealership, not a not for profit organization. Just think of the whole thing like a screen play and you will enjoy it and get the car you want! read more

This is our second purchase through Phillips and we prefer this dealership over any other! Six years ago our salesperson was Anthony, who has since moved to management, a deserved position. We continued to stay in contact with him for our purchase this time and as he is always honest, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He referred us to Bobby whom my husband communicated with on the phone. We were out of state when Bobby and my husband reached an agreement we were more than happy with. My personal experience was the day we picked up and purchased our new truck. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Anthony with smiles and hugs. We caught up on family news, he remembered after 6 years! He then referred us to Durman as it was Bobby's day off. Durman was soft spoken, sincere, and very accommodating to our needs. He made sure we were getting the experience we wanted, giving us time to examine the truck, taking a test drive at our convenience, answering all our questions. Durman had another customer he was also attending to as he navigated between the both of us. He apologized profusely that his time was split. He couldn't have been kinder. Anthony came over to us multiple times to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Their care of customers is exceptional! First things first, all dealerships are trying to make money. All dealerships want to get the most money for their cars. Nothing wrong with it, that's just how it works. Philips is in business to make money, nothing wrong with that. I like the service I've received from philips post purchase. They always work out a loaner for me when I go there for service. No dealership is going to "give u a deal", you have to negotiate. Philips is a large/ high volume dealership. I believe larger dealerships are in a better position to sell u a car at a lower price than a smaller one. I will go back when it's time for a new car. They will have to win my business again. read more
