I was previously a loyal Hyundai customer and made the decision to service my 2022 Hyundai Palisade almost exclusively through Family Hyundai. I followed the recommended maintenance schedule, completed routine oil changes, approved recommended repairs, and relied on the dealership's technicians to identify anything my vehicle needed. Whenever I was told a repair or maintenance item was my responsibility, I approved the work and paid for it. At no point was I asking anyone to perform repairs for free. Despite that commitment to maintaining my vehicle, it required a complete engine replacement under Hyundai's warranty. I appreciate that Hyundai authorized the repair and that the dealership completed the work. Unfortunately, my concerns did not end there. After the engine replacement, the vehicle continued experiencing overheating and other mechanical issues. Each time something seemed wrong, I returned to the dealership, explained what I was experiencing, and asked whether anything else should be inspected. I trusted the dealership's expertise and believed we were working together to identify and resolve the underlying problem. Throughout this process, I remained patient and respectful. I never became confrontational or demanded special treatment. I simply wanted my vehicle to be properly diagnosed and repaired. What disappointed me most was not that a vehicle required repairs mechanical problems can happen with any manufacturer. It was the response I received after years of documented service visits, recurring concerns, and significant financial investment in maintaining the vehicle. Rather than discussing the history of the recurring issues or whether additional components should have been evaluated alongside such a major repair, the conversation ultimately focused on vehicle mileage and expired warranty coverage. I left feeling that my consistent maintenance history and repeated efforts to resolve the problem were overshadowed by the fact that the vehicle had accumulated mileage. Today, my Palisade has approximately 136,326 miles and continues to experience significant mechanical concerns, creating considerable disruption, financial strain, and uncertainty. My confidence in Hyundai and Family Hyundai has been fundamentally changed by this experience. I never expected perfection, but I did expect a collaborative effort to diagnose recurring issues and communicate openly about possible causes and solutions. For anyone who chooses to purchase or service a Hyundai, my strongest advice is this: document everything. Keep every repair order, every invoice, every conversation, every diagnosis, and every follow-up. Make sure your concerns are accurately documented on the repair order before leaving the dealership. Those records may become your most valuable asset. I sincerely wish my experience had been different. I hope Family Hyundai uses this feedback to improve communication with long-term customers and to ensure recurring concerns receive the thorough attention they deserve. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can no longer recommend the service department or say that I would purchase another Hyundai.

The situation involved a challenging diagnostic process that required coordination with corporate engineering and took longer than expected. What truly stood out, however, was how dealership leadership stepped in, took the time to fully review the situation, listened to my concerns, and ensured the matter was resolved fairly and professionally. Danny and the management team demonstrated a high level of accountability and customer focus. Communication was clear, the issue was prioritized, and the team followed through on everything we discussed. In the end, the vehicle was properly addressed and the experience was handled the right way. Delays & unforeseen issues can happen in any service environment; what matters is how a business responds. Bettenhausen showed integrity, ownership, and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing, which is what earns trust and long-term loyalty. I would confidently recommend their service department and would not hesitate to return.

There is a lack of communication between the staff and customer, calls for updates on service don't get returned, repairs aren't inspected by management after mechanic completes the repair. I am going to have my Jeep serviced at Brach's Auto Center, a family owned repair shop where the repairs are inspected from upper management after completion.

My salesperson Nader Abed was great in providing all the assistance that both me and my wife needed in learning how to use and understand all the electronics in the new A5. We felt confident when we left the dealership. He knows his job and does it well from greeting when the customer first arrive to look or take a test drive to closing the sale and leaving the finance department with signed documents and the keys. The maintenance intervals are reasonable for a driver like me. I don't driver a lot since retirement so my 2023 A6 only needed service two times before I traded for my new 2025 A5. I was fully satisfied with the maintenance performed. I do have one issue that could be improved. I brought my A6 in for a recall that was estimated to take 4-6 hours and possibly overnight. Of course my A6 took overnight. There were no loaner cars available. The dealer could use more available loaner cars for situations like this.

Because they didn't do an inspection. If the inspection was done, they would have known the battery had low voltage and the hood needed replacement parts! Called Jason, he would not answer, I went back to the car lot to have his employee call, of course he answered for him. Jason assured me he would look into the battery situation and get me another one. I have not heard back from him. I'm not letting this go!!!! 2013 Lexus RX350 brought in to dealer to diagnose & fix ABS malfunction warning light…read more I would like to start out by saying Efren is a great service POC in the service department, he is honest, fair and straight forward. I would recommend him as your service POC if you need to go to the dealership. Since we have an older Lexus, we typically have maintenance performed with a trusted local mechanic but he went as far as he could & recommended we go to the dealer to handle it. After we get it to the dealer, the initial diagnosis did not fix the problem but cost $1100 ($408 part + $700 labor). 2-1/2 weeks later car is ready and we have the initial diagnosis/fix down to $600 so I asked to speak to the service manager, about bringing the cost down to $408(cost of part) or lower. I felt it was unfair to pay for something that didn't fix the problem, but was willing to pay for the part since it was already on the car. Plus, after that repair was done, we updated our mechanic & found out he had explored the possibility of the same part needing replacement prior to referring us to the dealer but when he inspected it there was nothing wrong with it. He also had pictures of it to show me that nothing was wrong with it. So I speak to Joe, the service manager about the final bill but he felt he had already handled it by splitting the labor with us. He spoke very condescending to me, probably because I started the call with asking exactly how the repair that fixed the problem was done because our mechanic asked me this (ended up being a break in the wire). I never got around to even explaining that to him because he was so defensive on the call and patted himself on the back several times because he knocked off some of the labor cost and fixed problems for free that the mechanic caused during the wire diagnosis & repair-according to him he did us the favor because the car has 150k miles on it & problems were probably already existent but just hadn't presented themselves yet. At the end of the call he told me that our call would've gone another direction if it wasn't Friday, but he didn't want to get ugly on a Friday! I sincerely hope you never need to escalate an issue at this dealership to Joe, the service manager because he will not be reasonableabout it. His customer service and the way he handled my situation was very unprofessional. My total bill ended up being over $1400 and the repair that actually fixed the car was $750. I feel this is wrong but since Joe, the service manager disagreed we were left with paying for his crews initial misdiagnosis because that's what his maintenance guy thought it was. It's also important to note that if Joe had come down $200 and had not represented the dealership this way, this could have been a five star review.
