Avoid their service area at Phillips RV Bradley AT ALL COSTS. On August 1, 2019, following extensive damage to the underside of our popup hybrid Cub camper on the highway the day before, we brought our camper to Phillips RV. We specifically told them we wanted 2 repairs made: water pump and heater. The service rep, Jeff Workman, told us that they found more wiring damage that needed repair - I had told them they could just staple the wires out of the way; we were not concerned about the cosmetics (after all, we are camping...). Jeff mentioned we could apply the insurance money to a new one, especially after they had found "more extensive wiring damage" than expected. We declined as we like our camper - and it is paid for. After spening 7 hours in the dealership, we immediately departed for our destination, Michigan. When we reached our destination at 11PM, setting up in the dark, we realize that NEITHER the water pump NOR the heater had been fixed. Seven hours in the dealership and $347.22 later - what we asked for WAS NOT FIXED. The following morning, we were able to investigate the camper to try to see what may have been missed. Imagine our SHOCK to find two disconnected and exposed (one red, one yellow) wires by the heater/thermostat. The next day, we also found a ONE AMP fuse was placed in the fuse connector for the water pump. Since everything else in the camper required a 15 - 30 amp fuse, and we had a 15 amp fuse, I replaced it to check for improvement. Shockingly, IT WORKED. When I called the next day, Jeff was EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. He told us it was OUR responsibility to be sure everything is working before we left the parking lot. Jeff told us we needed to bring the camper BACK TO THEM for them to fix it. There was NO WAY we would go back to the dealership since they could not correctly fix the problem in the 6 hours they had the camper in the shop when we only asked for 2 things to be fixed, and those 2 things were not fixed. read more

So I fell for their "we want to buy your car" line. The salespeople (Chris and whoever the used car manager were) are all very polite, but the place and the "we buy your car over kbb" line is a hook show. I was called and emailed multiple times about trading in my Cadillac, and how they could offer well over kbb trade in price. Here's how it works...first they start with "average" condition kbb price. In my case, at every dealer I've been to, they remarked what wonderful the condition of the car was...it spends it's winters in Florida and summers in IL, and it has high miles (avg 17k/yr). Here's the kicker. They show average trade in condition regardless of whether or not your car is in excellent condition, then they chip away from there. In my case they said "the front bumper has been repainted", which is true due to rock chips and done professionally, but also there is a crack in a back up light (1/2" long) and a scuff on the mirror...which I'm still looking for...unless bug splatter is counted as a scuff). If you start with average condition and chip away until you're at poor condition value on a car that is in very good condition, that's dishonest. I sent pictures of this car, as well as gave all details (mileage, VIN) prior to coming. I also said over the phone that if they we're going to lowball me I wasn't going to be happy as it's a drive for me to get there. As well, I asked if this would be wholesaled or something they would sell on their lot, and Samantha assured me it was something they would sell on the lot (which affects trade in). When I was there I was told they would wholesale due to miles...you knew the mikes before I drove out there! Bottom line I've had multiple emails and calls since I was there. I'll likely never be back, and likely Never buy another late model GM vehicle with the exception of another Cadillac. I left Phillips Chevrolet with a very pissed off, used feeling. Updated: I spoke with Andy after some phone tag. I understand the situation better, and wish their staff had been more knowledgeable of them wholesaling the car versus being genuinely interested in it, and wish I would have known better prior to making the drive. read more

I scheduled an appointment at Phillips to give me an estimate for replacing a faulty EVAP Solenoid valve in my 2010 Silverado, and I have to say that my experience was extremely disappointing. Although I already knew what the problem was with my truck, I was told that Phillips would have to perform a diagnostic on it. I was not informed that the diagnostic would cost me $119. I spent over an hour and a half waiting to get an estimate, and had to find the associate that I had spoken to earlier to find out what was going on with my truck. I was informed that to replace the valve would cost me over $600, and I was then notified of the diagnostic fee that I was forced to pay (but would come off the cost of the service, if I chose to get it done...). The valve cost me $83.00 from Autozone. Not only was I charged $119.00 for the diagnostic test (that only confirmed once again what I already knew), but I was also charged $11.90 for shop supplies! What shop supplies are needed for an estimate? And on top of everything else, the technician for Phillips also cleared my "service engine soon" light, so that no other readings could be found. Overall, I am very dissatisfied by the service that I have received from Phillips. I understand that a GM-certified service department is going to cost more than a run-of-the-mill mechanic, but the staff went out of their way to keep me in the dark about the problem. The staff just seemed bothered and genuinely unfriendly. I have purchased two vehicles from Phillips; next year when I buy a new vehicle for my wife, it will not be from Phillips, nor will any of my vehicles in the future. And I will definitely not recommend them again. read more

I sat on hold for thirty minutes before I was hung up on, and for some reason he was upset with me instead of tryin to accommodate me after they already messed up. I left and took my car to Apple Chevrolet, bad idea never doing business here ever again either . Turns out Apple Chevrolet management is poor as well. Found my self at Phillips Chevy again but this time in Lansing.. I must say Lansing store is great from Sean the service manager to Richard parts manager. Now I know we all hate going through the car buying experience. The second you pull into the lot the salesmen are all over you like vultures. I never seen so many trying to be my new best friend. But I have to say this time was different. We went to Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort and ended up buying a brand, spanking, new 2013 (with only 42 miles on it) Chevrolet Spark. Not the pink one of course because my oldest son would be driving it. But the Denim Blue model and it looks really cool. We had an excellent salesman, Chris Smith. You could not ask for a nicer and more helpful individual. He was not pushy or bothersome at all. Chris knew a ton about the Spark. If only I had more money (it's all tied up in paying college bills), I would buy another car from Chris. My recommendation, if you are looking for a vehicle, stop in at Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort and ask for Chris Smith. I give Phillips a 4 out of 5 if I could pick. I put in my information into the KBB instant cash offer and received my offer within a few minutes to sell my car. Shortly after I was contacted by Joe L. Who asked if I would want to come by for an appraisal. I was hesitant at first because I knew I didn't want to buy a car from there (couldn't afford even their lower priced car) and didn't want to get pressured. Despite my reservations I decided to go there and see if they would offer me what KBB instant cash over was. I met with Joe who was super nice, he asked if I was looking at a new vehicle and I told him no. That was the last he mentioned me purchasing a vehicle which was very refreshing. A quick appraisal and the manager came out to tell me they would give me what KBB had offered. I gladly accepted and it went quick. Reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because after that I didn't realize I would have to wait days for the check. They have the owner sign the checks. I was in there at 1pm on a Friday and was told Monday evening or Tuesday I would get a check. With everything so instant these days I was disappointed. I had no car until I could get that check, and deposit it and have it clear in my account. I expressed my concern and they were very responsive and did everything they could to expedite the check. At 11am on Monday they told me it was ready. I appreciated that. It's nice the owner is involved but I think Phillips should really change the way they do car buying so people aren't left with no car and no money for days. In the future I would use them but I would prepare better for the lack of check right away. read more

Living in California I was shopping on-line for a Chevrolet Suburban. That was the easy part, even if I was looking for a specific configuration, which took many hours of searching through the various car search websites. With each one I found I had difficulty with independent dealer (no more of that!), one of which was very unprofessional, and even a Chevy dealer in Michigan that was very unhelpful. Finally I found a Suburban listed at Phillips Chevrolet, and expecting the same treatment, I armed myself to inquire. WOW! Totally different experience! In fact, even though it was on-line, I felt as if I was at the dealer instead of being more than 1,000 miles away. With great expertise I was greeted, my questions were all answered, and in a few minutes we began the process to purchase the Suburban. I made. a deposit and the rest was academic. I understood the time necessary for this process being in another state, etc., and they were on top of it. I never once had the impression that I was being neglected or that -- as happened with an independent dealer -- that they were waiting for a walk-in to come and would just sell the Suburban to them. We own 7 Chevrolets and now are on our third Suburban and may even have to get another one. I would certainly consider working with Phillips Chevrolet again. read more

Prior to making the appointment, I had to replace a tire just so my car could get seen. I have a little over 17,000 miles. I purchased my vehicle brand new and 2019. When I arrived at the appointment I set for almost two hours just for them to tell me to bring it back two weeks later because they didn't not have the part. The Service Manager never looked at my tires. Nor did they contact after market regarding the protection I had on my seats. Heading back there today to see if this review will change! read more

If I there was an option to give Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort IL 0 stars I would. For past 20 years we brought them a lot of business and we tough of them as a great dealership until we saw their true colors and who their are when they don't have any interest and benefits coming their way. When we were purchasing cars from them they were all cool and professional since money were involved and just to mentioned they had very easy job with us since our credit scores were excellent so not really hard work on their end , we were easy client as you would call us. On the end of last year we turn in my husband's lease and Phillips sent a check to pay off rest of the lease on excess miles but found out later it was $230 short.After we recived first letter from GM financial saying that this amount was not paid and it's going to be past due, we called Phillips and spoke to managers there and we were told we don't need to pay that after they talked to GM financial.Couple months later my husband checked his credit score on credit karma and it's showed that $230 were almost 60 days past due. We paid off this bill on our own but it was already reported to credit bureaus and it shows as a delinquent account ( we did not even recived any letter from GM financial saying this would happen if not pay soon) This made my husband's credit score go about 150 point down and put him in good / fair range from being in excellent for years which now will cost us tens of thousands of dollars because we are not able to refinance our mortgage. We called Phillips and ask them to clear this with GM financial asking them to send a no fault letter to GM financial so they could report this mistake to credit bureaus ( we did not even ask for them to pay this money back to us) but we are not going with them anywhere. We just hear excuses like you need to talk to this or that person but after leaving messages no one is returning our calls anymore. Now where this doesn't effect them they just don't care anymore about their loyal client. Now Phillips is bleming GM financial and GM fanacial states they don't know anything about this and here we are in the middle who got hurt in the process and effected by someone else's mistake. I did not purchase my car from here but as an owner of a 2012 Chevy Cruze I can clearly take my car to any certified GM Dealer. I was actually recommended to this location from the dealer that I purchased my car from because are known for having the best service departments in the area. After a rough experience with one of the every day service consultants, I wrote in an e-mail to the website to voice my opinions. To spare the long story, let's just say i NEVER complain. I myself have been in the customer service position for over 11 years so I know that it is difficult to make everyone happy. Within MINUTES of writing my e-mail, the service director, Dan Kachinsky, called me to make amends and could not have been more apologetic. He advised me to take my car in right away. He was waiting for me upon my arrival and after just a few short signatures and paper work glancing, I was out of there with my loaner car. Originally, my car was not even supposed to be serviced until almost 5 days later. the NEXT day, I received a phone call in less than 24 hours that my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. Once again I was in and out with no hassle and my car is back to being safe and fantastic shape. By the time I had gotten into my drive way ( approx 10 minutes after picking up my car) my phone rang, and it was Dan. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied and once again apologized for the previous experience I had the night before. I could not be more thankful and pleased with the way my situation was handled. It may have started out rocky but Dan and other service consultants turned the entire experience around and have beyond exceeded my expectations of their service department. Before you give up on anyone, not just Phillips, make sure you give someone else there a chance before you write them off. I've probably purchased 20 cars over the years for myself or helping family/friends. Always hesitant and expecting a horrible experience - I go in with information, specifics I want and an idea of what I expect - knowing I'm in for hours of stereotypical "used car buying experience" and hoping to minimize the pain. I headed out to find a 2015 or 2016 Equinox for our son to buy - ready for another day of stress. I was thrilled that this time was so different. My salesman, Rami, was professional, attentive and knowledgeable. He was also respectful of me and my time. The dealer needs to make money and I'm there to save as much as I can - I'm happy to be able to say that I feel I got this with this transaction. I was treated fairly and like I had a brain (a lot of women say they are treated as if they don't - not the case here). From the trade-in to the terms of the loan and everything in between, Rami made sure things were done quickly and went out of his way to make sure they were done right. When a small issue was found with the vehicle the night of purchase he immediately took care of it for us. I really appreciated not having to deal with separate departments myself - he represented me fully from beginning to end. I also really appreciate that it didn't take an entire day to get things done. The usual waiting for hours for paperwork doesn't happen here. If you're looking to purchase a vehicle, it's worth the time to stop at Phillips and ask for Rami. We went in for a battery issue, my car is still under warranty. Left it there and used the shuttle service to and from. They replaced the battery and washed the car. I went into the dealership 7/7/17 because my car kept overheating & using up all my antifreeze. They looked it over, drove it & couldn't find anything wrong. However, today when I checked the level of my antifreeze, it was all the way down again! Even though my engine light did not come on. I think I must have a very small leak somewhere for the antifreeze to be so low already. So I guess I will have to bring it back in. read more

Yeaaaa I went to test drive a vehicle and I like the vehicle, the door was clearly broken and the dealership told me pretty much it was priced to sell (which was still over priced on kbb) I asked for not even 500 off so i can fix the door. I sent a email maybe a day later then a 2nd email then called to see the status and never got a reply. I then called a day later and asked to speak with dj about the vehicle and he related that he will call me back that day. I needed up calling him back at the end of the day and still he wasn't available. I called to speak to somebody else this morning who stated that the vehicle was available and the keys were in fact there and the vehicle was still online. Dj then answers the phone and says the vehicle is gone. I'm done with liars and these games. I dont know who is lying but I'm going to go ahead and and blame the salesmen. He had no idea I was ready to trade my vehicle in and put money down as well but no questions asked when you know what you are looking for in a vehicle and all its flaws. I've been looking for a vehicle for a long time now and it is disgusting how these salesmen and dealerships decide to try to rip people off. i purchased a Camaro ZL1 through an internet purchase. It was 78 miles away and once the deal was done I traveled to pick it up. The car was beautiful and the sales people were great. The dealer prep was horrible. The front license plate bracket was not installed and the service department said the bumper had to be drilled. That is bull. I drove home without the front plate and followed the instructions and installed it myself. no drilling at all. it has fasteners that attach behind he grill. The trunk was filthy. There was a part in the trunk that was supposed to have been installed by the dealer and it was left in a plastic bag.The lien was not registered on the title even though we asked to make sure it was done . We were never asked for the information.For a 71,000 dollar car, or even a 20,000 car, this was not satisfactory. read more

Although it's not advised that applicants express their personal feelings about a company if an interview doesn't go their way, I do believe there are certain circumstances that warrant it. I applied for a position at Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort. I was contacted by a Becky in regards to the position and we communicated via text on two separate occasions. She set up a phone interview for 4/19/19 at 2:00 p.m. and then sent an email confirmation. She never called. I sent an email at 2:25 p.m. asking if the call was still on or if she needed to reschedule, no response. A company of course has a right to not go forward with an interview. However, it's beyond unprofessional to not at least communicate with the candidate that they will not be going forward and cancel the meeting. To make an applicant sit and wait for a call that's never coming is wrong. Applicants not only set aside time for an interview whether it's via phone or in person they also take time to research the company they are seeking employment with. Would they accept treatment like this? Behavior like this is not only reflective of their hiring practices, but the company's culture as a whole. read more

I received a email from Phillips stating i could trade my 2016 truck in for a 2018 for $5.00 a month more on my current $570 monthly payment + new terms at 72 months and an average condition trade for my truck.(My truck is in excellent condition). I called them regarding this email and they told me that they had trucks that match the offer. So i took the almost hour drive only to be told after an hour sitting in the showroom that the best they could do was a $70 dollar add to my current payment. WTF! Typical car dealer scam! I'm very sad to say that I will most likely not be a repeat customer nor will I continue to refer them. Currently, I am driving a 2014 Cruz. I was not told at the time of sale that this make and model no longer comes with a spare tire. I found out I didn't have a spare tire when I was on 294 during rush hour traffic on my way home the other evening. I understand that I would have to pay for a replacement tire, but in addition to that, I now have a tow bill and the cost of a spare tire that I was under the impression was in my trunk the entire time. Due to this oversight, this flat tire has now cost me upwards of $300. read more

Incompetent / dishonest or both is best way to describe this dealerships service dept. Bought my 2010 "certified" Silverado from them about 5 yrs ago...very happy with low miles likely a lease...but over time I had check engine light come on...bring it in they say it's the oil pressure sensor...few hundred bucks later they have it replaced and all is well...then about 10000 miles later same issue...repeat process...annoying but not the end of the world...happens 3rd time after roughly another 10k and suddenly they claim my engine is failing and I need to replace...this is a truck that is babied..no towing, no long trips...my commute is under 15 min..and I had less than 8900 miles..and they claim my "certified" Chevy vehicle they sold me needs a new engine...for the low low price of 7 grand!! Are you kidding me?? First before I call a customer and tell them that the vehicle I sold them has some odd flaw that would require such a massive investment I would make sure with 99.9% certainty I was right about the diagnosis...second, I would expect Chevy or that dealership to stand behind their vehicles and realize that a truck with such low mileage shouldn't be failing without some obvious reason that it was caused by the owner and not just act like it's just tough luck...there were no tests done to show my engine was failing, magnet run over my oil to check for shavings, no outside analysis, just some idiot kid in a jumpsuit who changes oil for a living telling the stupid technician that I need a new engine cause they are not smart enough or honest enough to look into it and help their customers...I took to O'Malley tire and auto, they replaced the sensor (probably correctly for first time ever) and I've had no problems since and that was over 16000 miles ago! You really suck Phillips! I tell everyone to stay away from you! read more

The dealer has good salespeople, but they get a 1 star because what is most important is their service department and their service department is the worst. On 3 separate occasion's while under warranty, I had to fight with them and the last time I had something go out that they fixed under warranty but had to go back 15k miles later for the same thing after they fixed it to get it fixed again, only this time it wasn't under warranty now and it was outside their 10K warranty on top of my original. Yes the day i bought my truck was a great day and of course, I would write a good review from them, but after 2 years of headaches with the service department, I will never be going back and we use to buy cars from them all the time.
