After spending more than $300 to fill the tank, I had to leave unexpectantly due to a death in the family. My mail was held by a neighbor until I settled on a place where I would be for a few months. I then had the post office forward my mail. But evidently, a rental bill for $114 was sent to the old address and didn't reach me in FL until Feb 23rd with a note saying the tank would be removed if not paid by Feb 1st. I tried going online to pay the bill but account was closed. A neighbor went over to the house and found the tank removed. So to reiterate, after spending $300 plus to fill the tank, they removed it a couple months later for a $114 bill. They didn't try to contact me by phone or email even though they have that information on file. They also have credit card and could have used it to pay the fee....but instead the stole the propane and removed the tank. I'm still not back in Virginia and won't be able to return for another couple months as i continue with the probate process in two other states......how is this customer service, especially after being a customer for so many years? The company needs to get with the modern era and use other means to contact their customers. They rely heavily on their phone system and emails, why can't they use the same means to contact their customers. By the way, they haven't responded to my inquiries.......and where is the $300 plus you stole in propane? I look forward to their response. They came highly recommended when i first became a customer many years ago. Something has changed during those years, customer service is NOT one of their strong points any longer! We called to fill our tank and they would not come by, just came up with excuses. We later found out that they discriminate and would not provide us with propane. The tank is located outside and all they have to do is drive over and fill up the tank outside. We were informed by customer service manager Shelia Thomas they could not provide propane for a week without explanation( yet the technicians drove to other homes to service accounts. We called other providers who gladly offered to come and replace Sharp's tank. Within one day Pep Up installed their tank and we now have the ability to cook and have hot water. Sharp needs to attend customer service and sensitivity training . They are essential and can NOT decide to not service a Customer who pays bills on time. Discrimination should not be allowed .

Reading the reviews of others; those who express dissatisfaction due to expecting a refund of unused fuel in their tank; are, irrational! There was no need to send that other than to be insulting. Cindy left out several key facts. I didn't order anyone to fill the tank beyond the limit. The guage clearly showed 10%. The fact that they were unable to fill the tank to only 181.8 gallons was acknowledged. Although I was frustrated, as Cindy said, I thought we reached a mutually agreeable solution and I would pay for 200 gallons at the discounted rate. So as if I cared about my propane issue over a year ago, Cindy decides it's a good business decision to tell me to take my business elsewhere when I didn't even contact them since June of 2025. She then goes on about the procedures to find a new company. This falls under the "nobody asked you" and why are you contacting me. The issue was resolved in spite of her attitude over a year ago. I believe Cindy is not suited to be talking to customers. I don't want or need her advice. I certainly don't appreciate her digging this up over a year later to say "... take your business elsewhere". I recommend some personal therapy and a different job.
