    Salmon Egg-rolls
    Tricia L.

I had never heard of this place before today... found this place while looking for a Publix for sandwiches, saw them and immediately decided to try them instead. Best decision of the weekend... Staff was super friendly and hospitable, food was fresh and tasty and the vibe was chill and comfortable. I highly recommend the salmon egg rolls which I ordered with a little fear that it might be a bad choice but nope! These are so amazingly tasty I'm contemplating stopping back for another order to take home later today!

First time here! Food was delicious 10/10, service from bartender 5/10. When coming in, maybe 6/7 ppl sitting outside on the stools, 4 ppl on the inside bar. When we sat down she acknowledged us, asked if we were getting food too, and we said yes. We sat and waited for about 8 more minutes. We were thinking it wasn't a good day. Then Zeniah came to our rescue from behind the food line, and asked if we wanted to place an order. Which we did with her, asked if we could order beer with her, and sadly not. We then sat back at the bar for like, another 6-7 min still without the bartender asking what beer we wanted...After that time, we decided best to get our food to go, it wasn't in the stars today. But again, the food was 10/10, great flavor, glad we stopped to experience it!

Let me get it straight- Food - incredible, for a guy like me, add TVs, a few brews and or a shot and I'm good. My wife knows this... The music --really dope 90s vibe which is low key one of the sleeper qualities of this spot... In the cut (FWIW) Quality service - can't be said enough nor discounted. Love this spot and love that I live close by...and wifey loves the food too...which helps:)

Nasty, breaded peach cobbler. Taste more like bread pudding.

So I was craving something sweet. I came in wanting a milk shake..but can't bare to pay $14. So I decided on peach cobbler. Just plain awful, like I really want to climb out of bed, get dressed, risk the cold air hitting me and go get a refund. This is so nasty. Now I am a baker so I am just used to nutmeg, butter and sugar ...this definitely taste worse than frozen Marie Callender. I usually visit for the salmon Philly. Venture out and got the egg rolls tonight. I won't try that again.

Philly G Steaks has been under construction for a while, and finally opened up recently. It's a really nice spot with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Their staff were pretty friendly and welcoming. No complaints there. I got a standard beef cheesesteak, and I have to say, it was quite good. My only complaint is that the peppers and onions were a bit undercooked. They probably are just trying to get the food out fast, but I would have waited for the veggies to be a bit more cooked.

We drove by this spot several times while shopping at Publix and always wanted to try. It looked packed and didn't want to stand in line. Well, today we did and the "packed" that I saw was in fact true, and the flow of getting our order and receiving our order was fast! The food was sooo good! The atmosphere is a nice vibe, good music and very appropriate for the venue. We will most def be back!

NOTHING LIKE THIS WAS FEATURED ON CHANNEL 5! There's NOTHING exciting about this! Don't waste your time!
    Tiffany M.

On 3/24/25 I saw this company on channel 5 advertising their burgers and Philly Cheese Steaks. They looked delicious ON TV! The sandwiches ran over with deliciousness, the Philly cheesesteak was full of meat, onions, peppers & cheese! That was NOT what we experienced. The restaurant was NOT packed, however people were waiting for over an hour and since we drove from McDonough to Glenwood Ave JUST to patronize this restaurant I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! The wait time was ridiculous, the sandwiches were ok at best, salty, minimally filled with much at all. I complained to the "manager" Randy & he OFFERED to refund my money digitally and all he needed was my receipt #, just give him a few minutes while he gets the line down some. I provided that and for days...I waited and waited and waited... Today is 4/26 and to date he never refunded my money! Yes I called & spoke to Randy and still nothing...

Wow! I had such a great experience at Philly G Steaks. The food was flavorful and the staff was friendly, the cook even had a small conversation with us. Our bartender, Bryan made a reposado margarita and it was so fresh. They were so accommodating to us and our 6 month old baby. Our food was hot and delicious! We will be back!

There was a long ass hair in the cheesesteak. They didn't give us our cheesecake after we ordered it. The salmon was very fishy.. I didn't like it.

When I saw they now offer an oyster night on Wednesdays, I decided to give it a try. As a South Louisiana girlie, hearing zydeco music playing as I walked up instantly set the tone. It added a touch of home and fit perfectly with the Louisiana aesthetic they are going for. It was a welcoming start. I have visited before and was previously let down by their Boulevard location, so I walked in hopeful but realistic. The oysters were a dozen for fifteen dollars, which is a great price. Once they arrived, I understood the cost. The seasoning and flavor were truly good, but the oysters themselves were extremely small and a bit tough. The meat was tiny and often stuck to the adductor muscle, which took away from the experience. I also ordered a side of corn. Unfortunately, it was a zero out of ten for me. The cobs had no flavor and were served with only a bit of fake butter and crab boil pooling at the bottom of the plate. I did not finish them. On a brighter note, I tried the Zulu Punch from the happy hour menu. For five dollars, it was a solid drink and definitely worth the price. I will probably return because there are menu items I do enjoy. I just know that the next time I come here specifically for oysters, I will need to lower my expectations.

The restaurant was recently rebranded and I was curious to see what was new. I stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. Seating was open at the time and Noah, who was both the bartender and our server, greeted us with water right away. I have never been impressed by a casual restaurant's menu design before, but The Pub at EAV truly stands out. It is well thought out and visually appealing. I had been eyeing the tom yum wings for a while and ordered them as an appetizer. They were flavorful and served hot. The restaurant also provides complimentary house made pickles, and they were genuinely good. For my drink, I tried the Sneaky Link cocktail. Noah added muddled strawberries because it was a fresh batch and needed a little balance. I would honestly recommend keeping the strawberries as part of the drink because it turned out delicious. For entrées, we ordered the Heck Fire Burger and chose to have the bread served shareable style. They bake their bread in house and it is so good that they could easily offer a bread service option on its own. We also tried the lamb shank which was tender and very well prepared. The only disappointment of the entire evening was the bread pudding. It was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm which made me excited to try it. I ordered it to go and reheated it at home. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer burnt and slightly cross contaminated, almost as if it had absorbed the flavor of another item nearby. I am not a picky eater, but I could only take a couple of bites. Overall, The Pub at EAV is a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was excellent, the food was exciting and creative, and I will definitely return to try more dishes.

The edamame was covered in a delicious chili garlic oil and had some crunch to each bite with the cilantro and dried spices on top. I would definitely come back here for the food alone. During my most recent visit, they were nearly sold out of several bagel options, including my usual classic bagel. I was disappointed because I had my mind set on my regular order, but one of the employees went out of his way to accommodate me. He offered to use a salted bagel and remove the salt so I could still enjoy my sandwich as close to my usual order as possible. I really appreciated his willingness to help rather than simply telling me they were out. The service has always been friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I've visited countless times, often multiple times a week, with friends, family, and colleagues. We consistently ordered generously and tipped well. Unfortunately, a recent experience has led my husband and I to decide we will no longer spend another dollar here, personally or for business. While sitting on the bar side, minding my own business, I was repeatedly harassed by a visibly intoxicated woman who deliberately sat next to me to start trouble. She stared at me continuously, and made unsolicited, offensive assumptions about my marriage. My husband was sitting to my left, completely unaware of what was transpiring as he was listening to some music through his Meta glasses. I initially ignored the woman's behavior and tried to laugh it off because I simply came to eat in peace. However, the situation escalated when she began directing inappropriate questions toward my husband and attempting to provoke him. Despite her continued escalation, other patrons jumped in to defend her and one even threatened my husband, portraying her as the victim. When we attempted to explain the situation to Jason (who I believe is the bar manager), rather than hearing us out, we were told the police were being called on us. We were not the aggressors and did nothing wrong. It was deeply frustrating to be dismissed and treated as though we were at fault when we were only defending ourselves. What makes this experience especially upsetting is that we have always been respectful, trouble-free patrons for 13 years! The bar staff that evening was dismissive and, at times, rude. There was no apparent effort to address how this intoxicated individual was disrupting the environment, continuing to insult my husband, and repeatedly putting her hand in his face to provoke him. To my knowledge, she was never asked to leave nor threatened with police involvement. She left only when she chose to. Only the server who brought out our food showed any level of concern or professionalism. The bartenders and another staff member in the back (a bald person, don't know their role) made it clear we were not welcome and ultimately called the police. We are owed an apology. While I don't expect one, I'm leaving this review to warn other customers (especially people of color) to be mindful of how quickly a place you've supported for years can turn on you and how we're quickly seen as the problem just because we get loud when we've been disrespected. I would strongly advise going to another place in the neighborhood like The Beverly if you want to avoid situations like the one we experienced. After more than a decade of loyal support, we understand the value we bring as customers and as people. Respect should never be conditional or situational. When a business fails to protect that basic standard, it's our responsibility to set boundaries and take our patronage where it's valued.
