I've never had Woody's CheeseSteaks before, but my husband bought us dinner one night, and this is what he picked up. He has been raving about the cheesesteaks for awhile, so I was excited to try it. The parking lot is pretty small but they have additional parking in the back. In total probably 6 spots in total. The venue is in a strip mall with other restaurants. Be careful where you park. I ordered my meal once I got there. Cozy on the inside. Most of the restaurant is the cooking area but there are like 7 booths and 7 bar tops. It can probably hold about 30 customers. I ordered Woody's cheesesteak with all the toppings, extra meat, and extra cheese. The cashier was extremely nice. Top tier customer care from the venue. Went here while visiting Atlanta and wohhhmyygoodness! These were the best cheesesteaks I've ever had! I ordered the chicken Philly cheesesteak through the website and as soon as I pressed send on the order, it was ready in literal minutes. When I arrived the fries were hot, ready, fresh, and cooked to order! I will say the wedges are seasoned to perfection! If you don't like seasoning just say less seasoning but other than that I say the seasoning is perfect! I would also recommend ordering the chicken cheesesteak with some sort of sauce if you need it. Never let's me down, especially at night :) When I'm in the mood for a decent Philly, I prefer the Piedmont location, but the Irby spot is decent as well. Was down in Atlanta visiting and my brother recommended this place. It's inside a food hall. The hall has a small section for seating and along the wall. So we ordered our sandwiches and sat down while they were being prepared, which didn't take long about 5 minutes. So when we got it, it was still hot and fresh. It was overall a good steak& cheese. I tried Woody's for the first time today. I brought my 19 year old son along as he is a big fan of cheesesteaks. We are typically fans of The Mad Italian as it is very close to where I live. This Woody's is in the heart of Buckhead on Irby Drive. There are very few spaces in the front and there was a food delivery truck blocking slots. Very congested. There is a parking lot in the back and it is small, but I was able to grab the last spot. There is a convenient well marked rear entrance. I ordered at the counter. It was quick and easy and the lady was really polite. I didn't see any significant lines (Monday lunch hour). It was steady with people ordering both dine in and carry out. The place is small...maybe 10-12 tables and a small counter for a few more people. It's a small sandwich shop so super casual and no real decor. Our food was ready extremely quickly. Under 5 minutes. We each had a regular Philly with white American cheese and we shared wedges (seasoned). Definitely without a doubt the best cheesesteak I have had in Atlanta. My only gripe is that I wish they offered sesame seed bread like the many places in Philly. The wedges were super fresh, hot and well seasoned. The fountain drinks are Coke products thank goodness. When I am in the mood for a good cheesesteak, unless something else dethrones it, Woody's will be my go to spot. But please consider getting sesame seed bread. I'll pay extra. read more

This place is my go to for cheesesteaks in Atlanta. I typically order through uber eats but I've been inside as well and I've never been disappointed with the service, everyone is always really welcoming. I love the seating inside too, it feels like a real sandwich place and up beat where you can get in and get out or you can stay and enjoy your food. My ONLY issue is the cost. It could be just an uber eats thing, I'm not sure. But The sandwich on its own is fine, but the potato wedges are like $5. Other than that, I love everything else! read more

A no in my book, I'd rather go to Big Dave's. My girlfriend and I came in shortly after New Years. The restaurant was virtually empty. We ordered a cheesesteak and an order of fries to split between the two of us. We ordered the food, and it was immediately ready. As in, pre-made. We were a little confused, but sat down to try it out. A total waste of money. The fries had that leftover taste, you know the one I'm talking about. When you try and eat fries the next day? That type of feeling. I ate one fry and immediately took it back, requesting a fresh order. They declined and said that everything is premade at this time of night, and the fryer is off. Excuse me? We also cannot get a refund. Again only one fry was eaten, we might've taken it back to the counter 60 seconds after we left it. The Philly itself had soggy bread due to the fact that it was already pre-made. That's the foundation of a Philly, so if you don't have that, then the rest is pointless. We left shortly thereafter, hungry and disheartened. Giving customers premade food, especially at that price, is ludicrous. Too much competition to have poor food and poor service. I stopped by Woody's on a Sunday night after a full day of Sunday Funday activities in Buckhead to knock off the hunger edge. Woody's is definitely a good spot to check out if you want food that's good, fresh, and quick service. They are located in the middle of Buckhead Bars so its a prime location for after hours. I've eaten it both during normal ours and after hours and it is consistent. I am not a dairy/cheese lover so as far as the full Philly Cheesesteak experience; I can't speak for that. However, I do get the philly steak without cheese and add onions and peppers and it is amazing! The bread is so soft and flavorful and OH ADD FRIES! They are wedge cut and full of cajun season on them. The fries are always burn your tongue fresh. They have very minimal drink options (alcoholic wise), but food-wise they will meet your taste buds. Definitely a good spot to check out when in Buckhead or you want a philly cheesesteak. read more

I had Woody's at its original location many years ago and wasn't impressed at all. When I saw that a new location opened in Buckhead and that the sandwiches looked decent, I decided to give them another try. Ordering was pretty quick and the prices were right. We decided on mushroom cheesesteaks with white American and provolone cheeses along with some additional toppings. We also ordered a side of whiz wedges. Both sandwiches were a good value given the size and the wedges were hot, crispy, and a perfect pairing with the cheese sauce. Parking is a little sketchy so you have to catch one of the free spots on the street or potentially pay in one of the private lots. Overall, it was a great experience and a vast improvement from the one I had a while back. It's hard to find decent cheesesteaks in Atlanta so we will return when in the area. read more
