Best mainstream pizza in Columbia. We are a place that doesn't have very many good pizza places but this is the best as far as I am concerned. Had only one time out of maybe 75-100 times ordering there since I've been in Columbia where the pizza was not the best, but that was it. Very consistent. This is a place for takeout ... definitely needs a HUGE update to the interior and there is stuff all over the place, with some tables and seats ... but takeout is obviously what they push. read more

The Only Review You Need To Read My Mom heard this place had wonderful chicken wings. Though I'm not a fan of those per se, they did have a pretty extensive menu of other delicious-looking items, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered the chicken quesadilla (the verdict was that Taco Bell is better). I got a cheeseburger sub, and allow me explain something. Back in the day when I was young and used to live on these, there was no In-N-Out or Shake Shack, so that was before I knew what really delicious burger patties tasted like. I wasn't blown away with this sub. I wasn't disappointed with it either; it was just a solid fine, as expected. The onion rings were huge, crispy and tasty, as were the western fries. But the star of our entire order was something which admittedly seemed rather innocuous, but reasonable since this IS Maryland - cream of crab soup. It was very thick, still piping hot (after bringing it home) and so delicious! It's the best cream of crab soup I've had since The Crab Shanty closed down many years ago. Absolutely fantastic! We definitely will be ordering from them again because of the cream of crab soup, but I am interested in trying out their pizza, wraps and other items. I would give this place a -5 stars if I could. My wings were fried way too hard and there was a piece of hair in my food. I told the guy at the front counter and he was VERY rude after I nicely told him what happened. He seemed confused for some reason at what I was telling him. I asked for a refund and he told me no??? Then I asked if they could remake the food and he also said no! I couldn't believe he was acting like that. Don't waste your money here. The food isn't even that great. I called to tell them because I didn't want anyone else getting sick and they refused to believe that it was their fault. No apology, no empathy, no action to fix a possible situation. How can you serve a paying customer dry over cooked ribs? The cook must have been blind folded during the cooking process. Giving someone jerky ribs is unacceptable. Ribs should be meaty and chewable but these were the complete opposite. Returning the ribs didn't do much because they said I'd get a refund but that didn't happen. This used to be my favorite local pizza place. Unfortunately the last time that I went here to pick up a pizza there was a mix-up with my order. Instead of correcting it the person at the counter argued with me about what I ordered, and then she brought more people out from the back to argue with me more. All that I asked for was to get the item that I always get - an XXL pizza special. Very simple request. Instead I got a confrontation. After a few minutes I just walked out. I had a long day at work and the last thing that I wanted was someone arguing with me over a pizza order. Ordered delivery from this place to my hotel based on the front desk person's recommendation. I asked for a meatball parm sub and mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. It took 56 minutes to receive my food. I can only guess that I was not the first stop as the mozzarella sticks were no longer hot. In fact they were barely warm. I had to put them in the microwave. Then the sauce I received was BBQ sauce, not marinara. Didn't really do much for my taste buds so I ate them without any sauce. The sub was better. It was not hot but warm enough to be ok. After living in Philadelphia for five years it was a bit heartbreaking to move to the Maryland suburbs where there's not 5 cheesesteak places within a 5 minute walk of my apartment. I haven't tried their pizza but so far their cheesesteaks (just cheese and steak, please) are the closest I've come to an actual Philadelphia cheesesteak. The steak is packed with meat and if you get the full size one you're in for a meal. Prices seem standard for the area which is more expensive than Philly but hey it's cheaper than driving all the way to Philly and back. It does seem to take a while between the time I order and the time I leave with my order but I guess they're not whipping out steaks every five minutes, so more prep time is needed than what I'm used to. Other things from the menu I've tried have been the fried cheese (it was fried cheese, not much I can say about it), fried mushrooms (I'd go back for more), and the Philly sticks (reminded me of Little Caesar's Crazy Bread though I wasn't a fan of the accompanying marinara sauce), mostly standard sides worth going for if you have the room. read more

Philly's Best...I'd hate to see Philly's Worst...geez My boss raves about this place, but I don't get it. But I have partaken in ordering with her & whoever else for delivery three or four times, but I don't really get it. On a positive note, I will say that the Philly Cheesesteak is very good. I confirmed that it is this location and not Elkridge that delivers to our office. Often times I don't want to pig out on Philly Cheesesteak; so I have tried a couple of their other sandwiches. My most recent experience was yesterday, which was negative. I decided to be sensible and get a wrap. It comes with fries or chips, but let's face it: both are unhealthy. I chose fries, which are a better value and probably better tasting. Office worker called in the order around 1 PM, and it was about 2 PM when it arrived, which was too long in my opinion. I kept plugging away at work, and when I heard the door at 1:45, I thought surely that must be the food. No, unfortunately, it was someone work related...ugh, but I didn't answer the door. After the food came, I ate the fries first, which were cool. They weren't terrible, but they would've been better hot. I realized that this place isn't as close to our office as I thought when I looked up the location; no wonder the fries were cold. If I had known that, I might've gone for chips. They need to keep their fries hot with heat bags or have a smaller delivery area. (My boss would not be happy about the smaller delivery area, but this is my review. She can go on Yelp and give them 5-stars if she wants.) As for my roast beef wrap, I specifically said to the person in our office calling in, no horseradish & mayo instead. Guess what? It had horseradish, and I believe her that she told them since she was writing it down. I believe the person taking the order wasn't listening and/or didn't write it down. I don't like horseradish; thankfully, I'm not allergic. If I had been, this would've been a real problem. This is why it is very important that they get delivery orders exactly right. Additionally, I thought the roast beef was way too salty. I didn't even finish it. Speaking of salty: three months ago I remembered our office ordered pizza from here, and I thought it was below average and too salty of pizza. Lesson here is if my office is ordering I will only get the Philly Cheesesteak because that is their one strong suit, or decline to order from them and enjoy the many great restaurants in the southern part of Columbia closer to the office. However, if the office is paying for pizza, I will certainly eat the over-salted free pizza. read more

I have ordered from this place for over 10 years. They use to have great food but I am not sure what changed that is no longer worth it. I just called them and explained my Stromboli was burnt and it just had one type of cheese. It went to the garbage honestly. The people making the food need to get all on the same page!!! Our favorite food spot when we don't feel like cooking. The young man with a beard, pony tail, and cap that is a cashier has excellent customer service. He has a pleasant phone voice and is very polite. There isn't too many places you can go to now a days that provide excellent customer service but that young man is an exception. I wish I knew his name but my husband and I always talk about how pleasant he is. The pizza is the best in town aside from Ledos but they do compare. When my parents come to visit they always ask us to get their pizza and they're not even pizza people. Do not change your recipe it is great the way it is. This place is a DUMP, but it has a few good things going for it. It looks like it hasn't been updated in 20 years. Menu board on the wall reflects this. So, when you order your food you will be given a proper 2018 price vs the great deal you thought you were getting. I don't recommend the cheese steaks. Its nothing like a real Philly style ones, but if you like Greek food you're in luck. The Gyros and Greek salads are really good. Dressing is perfect. Haven't ever had the pizza. Ordered PB delivery tonight. Placed the ordered and everything seemed fine. But the food arrived and instead of a meat lover's stromboli, I received a meat lover's pizza. I called them up to inform them of the mix up and they were not sympathetic to my situation. They claimed I had ordered a pizza and even processed it that way. The driver didn't give me a receipt so I couldn't dispute the charge. I don't particularly care for Philly's Best's pizza because of it's peculiar odor, especially when it's reheated. The fries tasted like they were straight out of the microwave and the buffalo chicken wrap is chunks of chicken not even with buffalo dressing... more like italian? I called and spoke to a manager whom said he will give me 10% off of my next order.... I told him the 4 of us literally threw our food away and will have to order from Waterloo. I asked for a refund because a 10% discount isn't even worth ordering from Phillys Worst again! The manager told me if I bring the food back in then he will print out a receipt that proves that partial of my order will be refunded. He wants me to get the trashcan food and bring it back to him.
