I don't usually post negative stuff but I'm not really sure how this place has gotten such high reviews, so I figured I'd share my experience(s) with them. Let's start with the positive, and since there is some, they've received 2 stars rather than 1. 1) They are fast. Like 15 min from order to delivery. That's great! No one does that! 2) My boyfriend likes their buffalo chicken cheesesteaks and their BBQ chicken pizza. So there's that. My experiences have been quite different, so onto the negative! I have given Philly's Phatties more than its fair share of chances, like a minimum of half a dozen times. Obviously I believe in second chances. But, I kid you not, aside from the first time, EVERY SINGLE TIME I ordered it arrived messed up. I mean, if you order from a place enough times the odds are that eventually something will go wrong, but EVERY time? Seriously? Either I'm cursed or this place has no care about their quality. Plus, it's mediocre junk food at its absolute best. Major complaints: 1) I have ordered the tofu wrap 3 times (the first was good) and it has come prepared vastly different 3 times. 2) If you are going to charge extra for standard things like lettuce and tomato ($.30 each!) or a side of sauce, those items darn well better be included. Every time I customized a sandwich so that it was more than just cheese and bread it came missing everything I ordered or, with additional cheese I didn't ask for. 3) When you put a hot sandwich into the oven, it should be timed so that it is not burned. If you accidentally burn it, remake it, don't serve it! (My eggplant parm was charcoal) 4) Their apps (mozz sticks, onion rings, etc) are the cheap frozen kind. Some places use those, fine. But make sure they're cooked! We received frozen mozz sticks more than once. We had been ordering off if grubhub and so thought maybe the notes, options, etc weren't transferring so we tried calling in the order...and same result. Missing extras I paid for, received burned or just overall sloppy and disgusting food. So, despite their speed, this place has lost our business. Gross, disappointing junk. read more

This is my new favorite place to great pizza and cheesesteaks when I come to town to visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered our food to go and waited outside at the picnic tables they have set up. The owner brought everything out to us when it was ready. The wait was probably a little longer than expected, but it was Friday night and it seemed they had a lot of carryout orders they were running to customers' cars as they pulled up. The food was delicious. We got the veggie pizza and a pepperoni pizza. The veggie pizza (minus the olives and broccoli) was probably the best I've ever had. We also got a couple of hoagies to share along with a cheese steak for our group to share. All were delicious and generously filled. I recommend this place to anyone in the Collingswood/Oaklyn area. read more

This place used to be a favorite of ours for years. I'm guessing it's under new management or something changed, because customer service has gone to complete TRASH. 30-40 minute deliveries show up hour to hour and a half later. They're telling you it's been out on delivery for 30-40 min, but it's still hot when it gets here?The drivers even admit the guy answering the phone is screwing up all the orders, sending out wrong deliveries, and lying to all the customers and blaming them when they call to complain. Get your sh*t together. Your food is actually good, so it sucks that we don't even want to chance ordering from you unless we have over an hour to kill to wait for our food. read more

Love Philly's Phatties! The pizza and sandwiches are very good. I love the pizza crust - not too thick or thin and just crispy enough! Delivery is always fast or they are right around the corner for easy pickup with plenty of free street parking. Not many tables inside to sit, but most people just eat at home so not a big deal. They always have sports on the big tv and the staff are so very nice. They will even point out when one of their daily specials will save me money on my order instead of charging me regular menu prices when I don't notice. They're very involved in community events & kids' sports. A great little local shop everyone should try! read more

Had delivery from here the other night. Nothing was hot the wing were cooled off and not very good at all. I got the phire sauce which I was told would be hot but it wasn't and lacked flavor. I got the Living Social deal for one main reason, my realtor Ed Barski recommended the business. We recently moved back to the area and have had to re-find all kinds of places - new pizza (our old one just isn't as good), new Chinese (got used to the one we had to get used to 12 years ago), new steak sandwiches (and boy am I picky with this). My friend and I loved the steak sandwiches - I used to be only a People's girl but will now come here, too. A good cheese steak hoagie is really hard to come by. This was the perfect combo of cheese, steak, and roll. My 4 year old loved the pizza (and I loved eating her leftovers!). We discovered this place with a Groupon. What a find! Not a fancy place, but GREAT food. We enjoyed wings, a pizza, a buffalo chicken cheese steak (hot!!) onion rings and a pizza steak. They toasted the roll on the pizza steak so it wouldn't get soggy. Everything was made fresh to order. The wings were meaty. The cheese steaks were overflowing. The onion rings were delicious. Cans of soda or bottles of water or gatorade for a buck. Large portions. GREAT food and GREAT value. Really friendly people. We found a real winner! read more
