Shout out to this location playing the Phoenix Rising match! Not many local places stream the game and it is much appreciated. I dined on the patio, and the service when going up to the bar was very quick and friendly. Enjoyed a few pints, and from what I could tell from a friend the food was also delicious though I didn't eat. Definitely see returning here to watch more Phoenix Rising games next season, or when in the area.

    Philly and fries, lunch special
    Shannon S.

Visited with some co-workers for a quick lunch away from the office. Service was immediate and quick for a party of four at lunch time. The place was not busy at all, probably because it was a Wednesday. It's your typical sports grill. It was not too loud and they had tvs going with a few dofferent sporting events. The Philly cheesesteak was good, not the best I've had but good nonetheless. I figured with it being the lunch special the portion would be small however it wasn't. It was the right size for a mid-day lunch. They also had other good happy hour deals.

Horrible Reuben. Worst I have ever had.
    Jennifer G.

Rating is on the food only. Don't waste your money. Huge disappointment. The Reuben was greasy, fatty and possibly reheated too many times. Meat maybe old, or it was defrosted in a microwave. The kraut, yikes. Also had the Italian beef. Disgusting. Not fresh. Chewy, fatty and tough as shoe leather. The auju, had a weird smell. Onions rings, those were good.

This was a cool little neighborhood spot. The food was average nothing particularly wowed me, service was good. We were seated right away and didn't have to wait long for food to come out. A nice little spot to meet with friends and watch a game.

Bailey immediately greeted me when I sat at the bar during what appeared to be a very slow Sunday. I thiught that was great. I just want a burger and a beer. After 20 minutes of watching her chit chat with her coworkers, I finally had to call her over to order or it would've no doubt been much longer. I ordered a well done burger. Came out medium rare. She would've known I wasn't happy with this if she'd ever checked back, but she didn't. So I scraped out all the raw meat and ate what remained. Won't go back.

TRADITIONAL PHILLY with jalapeños and diced onions w/ Fries
    Olivia J.

I got a traditional Philly with jalapeños and diced onions. I really liked it! The fresh cut fries are good, too. I dipped my fries in the hot sauce, so that added a good kick. I got my food to go and they had it ready in like 10 minutes, so the service was good as well.

Legit charged me $2 for ice in my shot. Ridiculous. Asked the manager and she said she poured extra without disclosing. Advised I've gotten the same drink there many times and never have been charged this. And she didn't care. Stealing at its finest.

Came with some friends for dinner, one of them hadn't been before so we were glad to introduce her to this gem. This night we started with an order of the mozzarella sticks, which was a first and so glad we tried them because I want them every time we come now! Four sticks to an order along with a small bowl of their wonderful marinara sauce. They were lightly breaded and fried to perfection and when you bit into one, you got that mozzarella pull! We decided to try the pizza salad this time around and so glad we did because it was truly delicious. Comes with an oregano vinaigrette and of course I also asked for a side of ranch (theirs is really good) and I love the combo of dressings! Again, another favorite discovered! This time we decided on the Meat-Za flat bread and it was amazing! It is made with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, salami, Italian seasoning all on top of their most wonderful flat bread pizza crust. Really, really good! Friends got the BBQ Chicken flat bread as well as a half Elote and half Meat-Za and she loved it. The BBQ chicken was good as well so will get that one next time! The Elote we experienced previously and it is so good!!! It was busy this evening we were there but food took no time to get to us and service was what you expect! You order at the counter, are given a number and food is delivered to you at your table. This is truly one of our favorites in the rotation now...

Great drinks, good food, and friendly service. Definitely a solid Tempe hangout.

I was a little disappointed that it was a smash burger instead of a thick, juicy patty, but nonetheless the flavors were impeccable. I added a fried egg on top too for $2 to make the burger even heftier. Wow I'm still thinking about it the day after. Also the fries were skinny and perfectly crispy!! But I also got the Beach Please cocktail (1800 Coconut Tequila, Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, Lime Juice, Triple Sec) but it wasn't what I expected. I couldn't really taste the Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, mostly coconut and lime. It was still a refreshing and cheap cocktail, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. My new favorite spot for burgers in the Phoenix metroplex, but I can't give it a full 5 stars as I was taken aback by the smash burger patty and didn't love my cocktail. Regardless, I still think highly of this spot and would definitely come back!

This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.
