Came for the hot springs and the strawberry pie was a go to. It's a nice place to get away let loose and just feel relaxed when you leave this place.

Don't expect fast food here; this is upscale restaurant food in a cosy underground cafe, at a bargain price. Downstairs from the Sierra Hot Springs, this little cafe does amazing food. Ordering is at the counter, for drinks we just had the free herbal tea and citrus water. I wish I took a picture of the Beef Wellington and Vegetable Napoleon the first night because presentation was as spectacular as the flavor. Amazing flavor and creativity in the dishes. Normally I skip over dishes that are vegan but trying some of my girlfriend's food made me reconsider my ways. Highly recommend for the amazing food. Just remember is a cafe run by only two or so people so expect a short wait if you arrive at the same time as a large group.

This place is phenomenal. Small, cozy space with no one else there yet amazing food prepared just for you. I had a roasted eggplant dish with rice and root vegetables and tomato soup and all of it was delicious. Such large portions that I took most of it with me. In any a big city, this place would be packed. Only one meat and one vegan meal a night, but it's all you need. Only downside is you eat from paper plates and plastic utensils but they probably can't get a dishwasher out here.

A great grilled tri-tip entree last night. Friendly service! Sweet potato soup was very nice too. I hit this place every time I stay at Sierra Hot Springs, which is a wonderful getaway.

What an incredible, homey, atmosphere. I've been wanting to eat here for a while now and i finally had my chance last night. My sister and i had full entree dinners thinking we'd save some for a snack later.. happy to report, there were no leftovers! The girls behind the counter are lovely and so happy which made the experience that much better. We snagged two coconut rice puddings to take with us and boy were we in for a treat. The homemade pudding is served with a sliver of strawberry shortcake and their homemade vegan whipped cream. We were in dessert heaven. Even though we had their full plates, we didn't feel overly stuffed or groggy. It was the perfect serving. I cannot wait to come back here!

The broth was really flavorful and the noodles, veggies, and tofu were great. I was interested in the bread but once I got there, I wasn't too excited about it. However... the sandwiches were delicious! And the bread for the sandwich actually was amazing. We got the leaf eater, and the pesto and hummus on it were really tasty. It made me want to buy the dips themselves. The chocolate chip cookie was thin, but still somehow chewy, a tiny bit crunchy, and buttery. The surprise purchase. I wanted another. There was also a fridge of take home broth, desserts, and dips. Every item we ordered was GREAT! I could have eaten two of each.

Happy hour: unfortunately, the head chef was out of town and the sous chef was unable to make two of the four items on the happy hour menu. This did limit what my brother could eat since he has medical dietary restrictions that prevent him from being able to eat gluten or dairy. He essentially could have nothing lol. There was a Wagyu slider on the menu and we asked if they could just turn it into a small salad with no dairy and they said yes! Everyone else also ordered the sliders as a happy hour dish and they were very good. The wine price for happy hour was on the pricey side with red wine averaging $15 per glass. I think in the future, I would skip happy hour unless all items are available to order and I'd stick with beer for a more affordable happy hour price. 2. Breakfast: a small group of us enjoyed breakfast together and this was probably my favorite meal. I loved the variety on the menu and service was very good as well. I had the breakfast quesadilla, my fiancé had the breakfast burrito, my dad had the Chilaquiles, and my stepmom had the avocado toast. She did wish that the avocado toast was made with a thicker slice of toast as this just looked like grocery store sliced bread. Outside of that, we all felt like our breakfasts had a great amount of flavor and would definitely recommend coming back. My brother and a few other families also dined here throughout the trip and mentioned their love of the restaurant for breakfast as well. 3. Dinner: our last meal as a family was spent here. Our server from happy hour the day before was our server tonight, so we knew it would be a great experience! She was on top of all our orders, friendly, and accommodating. While most of the food was delicious, several of us mentioned that our vegetables were undercooked and almost tasted raw. Too much crunch and not enough cook. That being said, I highly recommend ordering the bread, the Shishito peppers, and the steak. Those were our favorite bites of the night! Honorable mention goes to the soba noodles and the salmon. If it weren't for those vegetables, I would definitely order the salmon again!

However, we got maybe a quarter of a peach? 5 small slices and it wasn't very sweet. The kicker is this dish alone was $24. The arancini were cooked well but they do not pair well with curry. Just wasn't good. Just an odd combination. The entrees were better portions and were fine, but again, I was expecting better. My brother got the duck breast and it was a little fatty, not much flavor. I had the steak frites which was cooked well but very heavy on mustard in the sauce. My husband had the mushroom risotto which was good, and he added salmon. His was probably the best of the three. The staff were nice, service a little slow but not terrible. Bottom line, was not worth the price in my book. I won't be back.

Check out his epic Instagram congratulations blast: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJR_-CuSXKx/?igsh=MTh3bDgwMHoxeWw4 The Great Full Gardens is a local favorite and must stop when in Reno near a meal time. I don't get to the Midtown location very often, but when I do, I'm glad I came. Located in a little shopping center off Virginia Street it's centrally located in the heart of Reno. Outdoor/Indoor seating is available offering a nice shaded and/or air conditioned dining area. The food is always some of the best around with one of the cleanest set of offerings you could hope to find on a single menu...! Lots of organic and wholesome choices. I usually go for a lot less carby of a meal, but today I was feeling a Grilled Cheese made their way with several melted cheeses on sourdough with tomatoes and pesto aioli. So delicious! When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.
