When Sierra Smoke Show first opened, we were absolutely thrilled to have a BBQ place nearby! It quickly became a staple in our regular rotation whenever we came up to our seasonal campsite. Unfortunately, those days are a distant memory. The recent drop in quality and effort is incredibly noticeable. So many of our favorite items have been completely taken off the menu, and the ribs we ordered tasted like they had just been reheated rather than freshly smoked. It was amazing. The brisket was so extremely soft. The chicken I could've done without, but the rest of the meal was absolutely fantastic. That cornbread pudding was the star of the show. They give you sauces on the side, which helps you figure out how much you actually want. You just order at the counter and then they bring it to your table outside. If you love BBQ, this is the place for you. Julia found this wonderful restaurant when there were not a lot of options on a Friday night in early January after a snow. Katie and I shared a plate, ordering smoked pork and brisket, Mac and cheese and potato salad. We couldn't finish it. Julia ordered the smoked pork as well as the smoked chicken. All the meats had a fantastic smoked flavor as well as a delicious crust. Mac and cheese was very good and the potato salad was perfect. I really enjoyed the horseradish sauce. The cilantro lime sauce was good too, but had some sort of mild pepper flavor. I could have eaten all the BBQ without any sauce. The meat was so tender and well smoked. I've been to Sierra Smoke Show a number of times and went again for the first time this season of them being open. The current staff and owners are nice and helpful. I first had a version of their pork sandwich when they had a food truck a couple of years back. It's good. Last night I ordered the current version with a side of beans. The beans were warm and the pork sandwich was room temp. I mentioned it and they corrected it. An incident last year, I ordered two sausage and one was cold. It's a great addition to the local food options. There is just a need to be more consistent with food temp. This time of year, sitting outside is great. Quiet. Only thing to watch out for are little swarms of bugs - nothing Sierra Smoke Show can do. It's worth going. read more

I had a shmorgasborg of yummy BBQ here with my family. Smoked ribs and brisket were off the charts amazing --- the meat on the ribs was falling off the bone, extremely flavorful, and the brisket was a perfect mix of fat and meat that was very tender and full of flavor. I've had BBQ in Texas and the south, and some of the best spots in San Francisco like Memphis minnies, and honestly this was the best ribs and brisket I ever tasted. The BBQ chicken and Mac and cheese were good too. The cornbread pudding could have been a little sweeter though, and some of the other sides could be improved. Meh, you pay $26 for a meal the least they can do is serve it on a plate. My food was served on a paper lined food tray which tore & ripped apart when I cut my meat. We ordered a slice of chocolate cream pie & it was pre-made frozen slice that was still frozen... their sides are small (Mac n cheese, cornbread pudding, beans) aren't all great either. I think locals will rate any restaurant here 5 stars because they're just glad to have a new restaurant option out here. read more

These people know how to cook. The Sasquatch sandwich is a sampler plate on a bun, 3 meats, cheese sauce and slaw with jalapeño slices. A well toasted crispy till the end bun! TLDR: We would give 6 stars if we could!!! Visiting town with my fiancé and decided to try the new barbecue spot on the block. Turns out they serve the most amazing food and have an even more amazing staff. Loaded tots were delicious and came out in just a few minutes, quickly followed by our sandwiches. I have heard nothing but good things about this place. I recently purchased a home in the area and wanted to try it because I love good BBQ. I finally got to sample this amazing bbq tonight. My wife was nice enough to pick it up for me even though she doesn't do bbq. I had the bbq plate with smoked chicken and smoked brisket. I chose the potato salad and beans for sides and the bbq sauce and chipotle aioli for sauces. (order more bbq sauce, it's worth it). Oh my goodness. This is a go to place for me from now on. Some of the best brisket and chicken I've had. The bbq sauce is spicy and sweet. Just how I like it. My wife loved the potato salad and the beans were spicy and complimented the sauces well. Someone complained that the servings were too small. I didn't find that the case. Yes they are a little on the high side on the price scale, but for this, I don't think it's overpriced. Oh my goodness! I do not like barbecue, usually they just dump all kinds of barbecue sauce on it and call it barbecue, the meat never seems to be great quality, but covered up with barbecue sauce because they will never know. My family talked me into going here, we're in town to do a craft show, and this is our first time in the area. All I can say is oh my goodness, it was amazing! They did not dump tons of barbecue sauce, it had a wonderful flavor, their mac & cheese side was to die for, and I don't eat coleslaw, but I drank the leftover dressing at the bottom of the cup. lol. Both my daughter and I ordered their smoked mushrooms to be added to our sandwich, and both of us were very happy we did, again there was nothing here We did not like & We will go here again Sunday before we head home, thoroughly enjoyed it. And my daughter ordered the banana pudding for dessert and she inhaled it. We all cannot wait to go back. read more
