When you're in the area and need a great place for breakfast, I highly recommend The Fork & Horn! With only a handful of reviews, I admit we were a little skeptical about how many five star reviews they had. But after eating there, the reviews were correct! The signage for the building could have been a little easier to see, but this place cranks out some awesome food! Victoria was out waitress, and did an amazing job of accommodating our party of 9 people! ...while also taking care of the rest of the patrons! This isn't a huge place and seating is somewhat limited, but for being located in the little town of Sierraville it's a gem of a place. It's good enough that I need to make time and an excuse to visit again sooner than later!

We had a great breakfast here this morning. Eating keto we asked them to not put in potatoes or give us toast it seems like they gave us extra of the other stuff. Didn't even ask and give us a veterans discount. The price was good. My wife got the chorizo scramble special she added mushrooms to it it was really good. I had the spicy Italian omelette and I added mushrooms to it as well I would highly recommend you add the mushrooms. Service was friendly and great.

We made two visits to the Fork and Horn last weekend and were blown away. The food was spectacular. It must be great for the locals to have this establishment in town. We had breakfast on day one. Sriracha chicken with eggs and pancakes was wonderful. Huge plate and came with really fresh fruit. Also had the Ranch House Tacos. Huge tacos with shredded pork and eggs and a tamale and black beans. The beans were super flavorful and the salsa was too. Great service and friendly atmosphere. We went back the next day for lunch. Blown away again. This time we had a CA BLT and a Rueben. We were both defeated by the size of the sandwiches. Both came with seasoned fries that rocked. The Ruben had sliced turkey and sour kraut between the grilled pastrami and marbles rye. Wow. I mean WOW! The BLT had added chicken and avocado and was spectacular as well. Leftovers went home with us and were devoured. If you are within 60 miles of Sierraville, stop in for breakfast or lunch! Love this place and we will return!

Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the food and the service were not as good as everyone else here is reporting. After salivating over these photos and getting excited for breakfast I was immensely disappointed by the traditional Eggs Benedict. It was just a not so thoroughly cooked bacon/ham bun with an egg and a ton of butter that was supposedly hollandaise sauce. I even paid for the extra sauce. (See photo) The service was inattentive but pleasant. Granted, there was a large group ahead of us, so I give them some slack. We waited a long time for the food, which they apologized about, but they didn't bring ketchup, they never came back to check on us or refill coffee, and we had to get someone's attention to ask for our bill.

We once travelled to an out of the way place and we're told, "I guarantee this is the best restaurant in the county!" I could not resist and had to say, could that be because this is the only restaurant in he County! So the choices are pretty sparse in this neck of the woods, however, the food plated up at this little interestion of Marbury RFD and paradise are fantastic ! Locally sourced and perfectly prepared and served with plenty of hospitality. This little, in need of better signage eatery would truly outshine any big foodie city place !!!!! When taking the road less travelled a do not miss.

Don't miss this jewel! As unassuming as it may seem from the outside, the ambiance, people and food are amazing! Better than some of the well known establishments we all see advertise. Don't think about it, stop in! You won't be disappointed, and though I may never pass their way again, I bought a T-shirt to help them advertise and as a reminder of the some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth! Walk in..waddle out!

I wish I could say that my experience here was great but unfortunately my family of ten was turned away because of my service dog. We were in town going through my late grandmas things and decided to walk down to this restaurant this morning. I'm upset to say that when I walked inside the lady at the front took one look at my dog in his full vest and told me that I could not bring him inside. I told her he is a service dog and she then illegally asked me if I had a card to prove that he was actually a service animal. She was very snarky and rude about it. I was appalled because I have never been told that my medically necessary dog could not accompany me anywhere. Especially because there is no legally required documentation or proof that I have to show anybody for any reason. My dog is prescribed by a doctor just like any other form of medication. He is well behaved and very polite in restaurants to where people would not even notice he is there. Just by saying he was a service dog she should have allowed us inside. But instead she rudely went to the back to "discuss" 'if my dog should be allowed in without an ID for him. My family and I took our business elsewhere while she went to the back. to the little bakery/ breakfast place next door and they welcomed my dog with open arms. The food next door was amazing and they have great breakfast burritos. I recommend skipping this place all together and taking your money next door to the Cafe or across the street to Los Dos Hermanos, another restaurant that welcomed my dog in without asking any questions. Attached is my photo of my service dog standing by my chair at the Cafe across the street.. *Update for people reading this now: I am aware that he has an Emotional Support badge on him. Being as how service dogs aren't even required to have any patches at all, he usually wouldn't. He wears them when we are in new environments for the people around us (not for him) and I had accidentally left his other patches at home. Yes he is a service dog. He is small, but he is medically necessary.*

I was really impressed with this restaurant. I stopped in with a friend on our way to the Hot Springs down the road and we had brunch. The food was AMAZING!! I was not sure what to expect for being in such a small town, but the staff were all super cool and the very nice server topped off our mimosas once we told them we had been traveling all day. I would come back just to eat here again. Totally wonderful experience!

Very sweet atmosphere, good food, great view, friendly service. A slight fancy twist on standard diner food, well executed. Nice staff.

A beautiful historic building from 1876 with all the rustic charm you'd expect , original hardwood floors , beautiful wood beams and a cozy little bar right when you walk in . The staff was super friendly, great customer service and hospitality, squeezed us in without a reservation! My wife and I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and Beef Stroganoff each served with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. Both meals were cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce that should accompany each dish . 10/10 for me on both dishes, it would be hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to order the stroganoff again on my next visit ..... too good!! Both meals came with a delicious side salad - blue cheese dressing was house made and yummy! Fresh bread, two different kinds , both were spot on . Iron Door hit a home run with every single portion of our meal and the rustic country charm of this hidden gem was the icing on the cake!!! I almost don't want to share my secret........ but if you are visiting Graeagle, pass on all the dining options in Blairsden and Graeagle and head up the mountain to little ol Johnsville for a meal that is sure to satisfy! If you want to impress your friends the super cool hidden gem that only the locals know about, The Iron Door is THE place to go. Cheers!!

My fiancé and I were celebrating our ENGAGEMENT with a party of 9. We had been looking forward to this place for SO long and were so excited to spend an entire evening here. For VERY important context, both my fiancé and I were restaurant and bar managers for several years. Neither of us have ever raised our voice at anybody working at a restaurant, bar, etc. We are literally an entire crew of service workers or former service workers who are very respectful of the entire industry and its practices. When we walked up, the older blonde woman working the front was extremely hostile and rude from the jump. I was trying to ask questions about the venue, food options, etc before we went in, and she began barking at us for IDs immediately. Not a single hi, welcome in, etc. Just immediately aggressive. My fiancé, who is 27, gave her his Oregon ID. Considering this state is literally a few hours away, you would think they are fairly familiar with this ID, but apparently not! She began aggressively and repeatedly bending the ID to the point we sincerely thought it was going to snap it in half. Despite it being obviously real after looking at it under a light (Oregon has very specific and complicated patterns, it's widely known as the hardest ID to make a fake of), she said she didn't believe that it was real. We were a bit baffled, and insisted it definitely was. She asked my partner what his zip code was, and because we had just moved, he gave her our current zip before realizing she meant the one on his ID. She laughed and said "nope, i'm keeping this! This is a fake". She said because he said the zip code wrong, she wasn't going to give it back. At this point I got angry. I told her that 1. It is 1000% a real ID and 2. It is completely illegal to hold somebody's ID hostage. Her and her coworker got really defensive and told me to "just calm down" despite her continuously bending it and laughing. She kept saying "I'm allowed to keep it if it's fake" which it WASNT. It is completely illegal what she was doing. This is THEFT OF PROPERTY, so I was absolutely not going to calm down. My fiancé called his parents to hopefully get a photo of his passport to diffuse the situation. The older woman who was holding us hostage demanded to TAKE HIS PHONE and speak to his mom. She then grabbed it and walked all the way down the sidewalk, spinning around and giggling. It was one of the most bizarre things I had ever witnessed, and frankly, we believe she was intoxicated. Her coworkers looked incredibly embarrassed and wouldn't even make eye contact with us. She finally came back and we took the ID and phone back from her. She never once apologized for stealing our property, almost breaking it, and falsely accusing us of committing a crime. Not even an inkling of remorse. Just giggling. I told her how absolutely unprofessional and illegal everything she just did was. Luckily, we have legal resources that we will absolutely be exploring this week, because no patron deserves to be held hostage, have their property stolen, and not even receive an apology. Not only did RMU tarnish what was supposed to be one of the happiest nights of our lives, they lost out on thousands of dollars (that we spent elsewhere that night) from our party because their hostess had a major power trip. To make matters even worse, we had other folks join up with us later that night who also stopped by RMU and had equally unpleasant experiences. They all said that the same rude hostess was bending the ever loving life out of their IDs and being incredibly snarky.
