I just wanted a simple BLT and they were able to make that for me with fries. The fries btw were amazing. Fresh cut and cooked. When you're in the area and need a great place for breakfast, I highly recommend The Fork & Horn! With only a handful of reviews, I admit we were a little skeptical about how many five star reviews they had. But after eating there, the reviews were correct! The signage for the building could have been a little easier to see, but this place cranks out some awesome food! Victoria was out waitress, and did an amazing job of accommodating our party of 9 people! ...while also taking care of the rest of the patrons! This isn't a huge place and seating is somewhat limited, but for being located in the little town of Sierraville it's a gem of a place. We had a great breakfast here this morning. Eating keto we asked them to not put in potatoes or give us toast it seems like they gave us extra of the other stuff. Didn't even ask and give us a veterans discount. The price was good. My wife got the chorizo scramble special she added mushrooms to it it was really good. I had the spicy Italian omelette and I added mushrooms to it as well I would highly recommend you add the mushrooms. Service was friendly and great. read more

The the moment you walk in, you can feel the cozy diner vibes. We took a seat at the bar and were welcomed by the server. From there, you can see the owner in the kitchen preparing all of this delectable cuisine by herself. The menu is stellar, full of amazing selections so I truly felt that I couldn't go wrong. We went with the Tri-Tip burrito and the Chicken & Cakes. The food was DELICIOUS and left us scraping at our plates. We also had cheesecake and a salted caramel milkshake, all homemade. My lover and I were simply delighted by the menu at this tiny, easy to pass by cafe, located downtown Sierraville. We actually found this little gem on Yelp and saw the pictures fellow patrons had shared of the menu options and we were sold. The owner takes pride in her offerings, and holds no limit on the amount of love and quality of ingredients in each plate served here. And the menu proves this! We actually drove by it about five times before we found this amazing, fabulous, tiny, well hidden gem of a cafe. So keep your eyes peeled, it's adjacent to the equally tiny coffee shop to the right. The restaurant is adorned in a modern version of Country-sheik. The menu has delicious offerings, my recommendations were the potato pancake topped with poached eggs and hollandaise and the daddy's deer steak and eggs. Both were amazing. We made two visits to the Fork and Horn last weekend and were blown away. The food was spectacular. It must be great for the locals to have this establishment in town. We had breakfast on day one. Sriracha chicken with eggs and pancakes was wonderful. Huge plate and came with really fresh fruit. Also had the Ranch House Tacos. Huge tacos with shredded pork and eggs and a tamale and black beans. The beans were super flavorful and the salsa was too. Great service and friendly atmosphere. We went back the next day for lunch. Blown away again. This time we had a CA BLT and a Rueben. We were both defeated by the size of the sandwiches. Both came with seasoned fries that rocked. The Ruben had sliced turkey and sour kraut between the grilled pastrami and marbles rye. Wow. I mean WOW! The BLT had added chicken and avocado and was spectacular as well. Leftovers went home with us and were devoured. If you are within 60 miles of Sierraville, stop in for breakfast or lunch! Love this place and we will return! read more

Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the food and the service were not as good as everyone else here is reporting. After salivating over these photos and getting excited for breakfast I was immensely disappointed by the traditional Eggs Benedict. It was just a not so thoroughly cooked bacon/ham bun with an egg and a ton of butter that was supposedly hollandaise sauce. I even paid for the extra sauce. (See photo) The service was inattentive but pleasant. Granted, there was a large group ahead of us, so I give them some slack. We waited a long time for the food, which they apologized about, but they didn't bring ketchup, they never came back to check on us or refill coffee, and we had to get someone's attention to ask for our bill. read more

I could not resist and had to say, could that be because this is the only restaurant in he County! So the choices are pretty sparse in this neck of the woods, however, the food plated up at this little interestion of Marbury RFD and paradise are fantastic ! Omg! Going out for breakfast is my favorite pastime. And pancakes! I may have an obsession. The pancakes here are to die for. They don't even need syrup, but go ahead... because... PANCAKES! I also had the chicken fried steak, which was really tasty, but it had more gristle than I can handle due to a medical digestive tract issue (not the restaurant's issue...just a warning if you have trouble with gristle.) My wife had the pork breakfast tacos which were phenomenal. She usually only eats about half of what is served in restaurants, but she devoured the entire plate, minus the one bite I was allowed to try. Our server was Sara. She was great. Polite, friendly, and attentive. Overall great experience, and we'll be going back soon to try lunch! read more

I wish I could say that my experience here was great but unfortunately my family of ten was turned away because of my service dog. We were in town going through my late grandmas things and decided to walk down to this restaurant this morning. I'm upset to say that when I walked inside the lady at the front took one look at my dog in his full vest and told me that I could not bring him inside. I told her he is a service dog and she then illegally asked me if I had a card to prove that he was actually a service animal. She was very snarky and rude about it. I was appalled because I have never been told that my medically necessary dog could not accompany me anywhere. Especially because there is no legally required documentation or proof that I have to show anybody for any reason. My dog is prescribed by a doctor just like any other form of medication. He is well behaved and very polite in restaurants to where people would not even notice he is there. Just by saying he was a service dog she should have allowed us inside. But instead she rudely went to the back to "discuss" 'if my dog should be allowed in without an ID for him. My family and I took our business elsewhere while she went to the back. to the little bakery/ breakfast place next door and they welcomed my dog with open arms. The food next door was amazing and they have great breakfast burritos. I recommend skipping this place all together and taking your money next door to the Cafe or across the street to Los Dos Hermanos, another restaurant that welcomed my dog in without asking any questions. Attached is my photo of my service dog standing by my chair at the Cafe across the street.. *Update for people reading this now: I am aware that he has an Emotional Support badge on him. Being as how service dogs aren't even required to have any patches at all, he usually wouldn't. He wears them when we are in new environments for the people around us (not for him) and I had accidentally left his other patches at home. Yes he is a service dog. I was not sure what to expect for being in such a small town, but the staff were all super cool and the very nice server topped off our mimosas once we told them we had been traveling all day. Ordered the prime rib and rib special the other night. First time ordering and it was very easy. Walked inside the place and it smelled phenomenal! Mouth watered instantly. Grabbed our food and headed to our camp only to find out we didn't have prime rib! Ugh! Called back and they fixed the issue without any problem. Needless to say, we were quite bummed...but the rest of the meal was fantastic! The green beans and mashed potatoes were perfect and we loved the seasoning on the ribs. As we ready ourselves for our third visit to Fork & Horn in 10 days, I feel compelled to share our highest recommendation for the food. Breakfast was very good, bakery items outrageous, lunch yesterday was killer good. Fries are Best in Class, absolutely terrific. Hubby's Philly Cheese Steak was, he declared, the 'best he has ever had' and he unusually took time to tell the chef directly. I had a lovely salad, large, lots of great ingredients. But I'm getting the Whiskey Burger today after eyeing it on someone else's plate. Service is a little rough at times, due to hard to recruit talent, we understand. All is forgiven! We went to The Fork & Horn on the recommendation of AAA. It was hard to find, even in a one block town. The food was impressive, we especially liked the sausage sandwich and the Whiskey burger. 10/10 would drive 4 hours to eat lunch here again. P.S. Portions are ridiculously large. read more

Delicious fresh and great portions. Even the fries are made from fresh potatoes-- year they are crisp and full of flavor-- way better than In and Out fries. We went twice over the weekend- once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times were filled with remarkable food-- the Ruben is packed with meat on swirled rye bread. Nice fresh berries on the side of breakfast dish-- I had the sriracha chicken and pancakes. All of the food looks and tastes like a famous oils family recipe. Next time we go for breakfast I am getting the venison steak and eggs--- Where else can you get that? This place is now on my must go to place in town to eat. Perfect portions served with very tasty flavor. I had just a basic scrambled with eggs bacon and pancakes but they served a few berries with it. Every bite was perfect and cooked just right and I'm picky. Ate lunch here two days in a row and had the fish and chips. Very generous portion of cod and they put the right amount of salt on the fries. They have home made tarter sauce and it comes with a large ceaser salad! Lots of food also indulged in a deep dish of homemade apple pie, they know how to bake too! Check them out. read more

Great food, great service. A lot of really thoughtful, sweet touches to the way food is prepared and presented here. Our server waited until my coffee cup was empty every time before pouring me more and made sure to fill it about 75% of the way full *every time* so I could do my milk and sugar thing. The Sri Racha fried chicken is some of the juiciest, most tender fried chicken I've ever had. I've lived in small towns where you feel sad that there's only one or two places in town because neither are all that great so Sierraville's lucky to have a great joint like this. read more

Came through town and stopped for lunch here. There's not all that much in the little town of Sierraville to eat: a Mexican place, a cafe with bad service, and now there is The Fork and Horn. The place has a retro feel to it, with a sit-down dining bar at the center that was completely filled with what I'm guessing was locals. A casual-but-quaint diner, we sat ourselves and our waitress quickly brought us our drinks. The menu has everything from different kinds of Eggs Benedict to a sandwich that uses a Krispy Kreme donut as the bun and has chicken in it! I ordered the Arugula, fig and prosciutto salad. It was simple, but it was SO good. I'm going to try to bastardize it at home myself sometime. My boyfriend ordered a spicy fried chicken sandwich, and he said he could tell it was battered and fried on-site. And per him, it was delicious. Waitress was so sweet and our food came super-fast. Stopped here for a quick lunch and the food was delicious! Definitely a place to eat if you are hungry! We had the Reuben, caprese burger, and salmon burger and they were all amazing! The Reuben was a twist on the traditional with turkey but the sauce was one of the best. The pesto on the caprese tied the whole thing together and the lemon sauce on the salmon burger was what made it delicious. This small cafe really knows what they are doing! I am in LA, I just ordered a Salmon Bennie. It was ok, but it sure made me miss Fork n Horn!!! This is not a quick bite. Patience is a virtue here. But I love this woman's Hollandaise so much I wish I could sit there while she pours it from a bucket into my mouth. Many of her other items have similar characteristics. I decided to try this restaurant as I was on my way to the hot springs and reviewed the great reviews they had on yelp. Even though it was slow it seemed like no one was in any rush to wait on me. I ordered just the basic breakfast and they told me they only had bacon, as they were out of patty, link sausage and ham. So I had the bacon. When my meal got there they had giving me a Venison chicken fried steak by mistake, I mentioned it to them and they said just keep it so I tried it though I didn't like it and they then brought me two pieces of bacon. I asked for my eggs very well done, which they were not and the potatoes were like glorified potato chips. I was expecting some nice home fries. Very disappointed. read more
