Nadia S. Went for a wheel alignment on our truck on 9/7/19 and in inspecting the truck the service worker found bad bearings on both front wheels, brake's were grooving and pads were bad. We were shown first hand what the service worker found. Not expecting the high cost we were quoted, but that was a lot of work to be done. The reason I'm a fan is that they understand high costs and gave us a discount, did not charge for checking out the alignment on my car the same day and the job was done in a very few hours. Extremely satisfied with the job done and the folks that work there. They were very helpful in explaining the job and getting the vehicle back to us as quickly as possible. Where do I start? First I show up with their coupon for a front end alignment for $54.99 and when I get there they tell me it's not valid on my vehicle because it's not a small compact car. The coupon says NOTHING about that but I let that go. So I specifically tell them all I want is a front end alignment. Don't inspect or touch anything else. About an hour later they tell me they can't do the alignment because I have bad leaking ball joints (LIE), loose inner tie rod(LIE), Bad leaking steering rack(LIE), steering fluid is"very dark and worn" (LIE), and they wanted to put dye in my trans to find a small leak(I already know where its coming from). They also wanted to do a brake fluid flush(not needed) and a coolant flush(not needed). Any clown that works on cars knows that when you grease a ball joint or tie rod end through the zerk fitting it pushes the old grease out of the boot. Ball joints and tie rods don't "leak" when they wear out, they get loose. I guess"leaking ball joint" sounds better to scare the customer. My steering fluid was not worn or dark, I replaced the pump and flushed the system myself recently and the fluid still looks NEW. The radiator and coolant is also new and I already flushed my brake system when I replaced the wheel cylinders. I checked the tie rods and there is no play. The only thing they told me that wasn't a FLAT OUT LIE or a desperate up-sell was the small trans leak that I'm already aware of and there's no way I will let them touch it. read more

They then found another leak, and I can't get the $270 back I spent already to not fix anything, but I'd have to pay an additional $1500 to actually fix the AC, will not be returning here for anything vehicle related. read more

Ohh where to begin!?!? 1st off this is the most expensive and unprofessional and unpleasant place to have work done to your car. My sister had the unfortunate experience of begin riped off. She came in to have he exhausted/catalytic converters replaced and was grossly OVERCHARGED $1,931 when I've gotten the exact same work done (different shop)on a newer model car for less than half the price the charged her for a 09. Once she showed me the bill and I began searching for the parts with the part numbers the shop gave her on the invoice I found the same parts they had charged her for, for less than half the price they sold them to her for, for example one catalytic converter they charged her $868 (more than 50% mark up)using the same part number I found the same part for $381. Upon the shop calling saying her vehicle was ready she asked me to take her to get an explanation of the bill. We arrived at the shop and immediately you could feel the tension when I said I wanted to speak with the manager as to the charges so some guy named Joe(name on shirt) walked up with an attitude so I began asking him about the charges he instantly became defensive and upset. I asked him why the charges were so high and he began telling me that the parts were perfomance parts for Nissan but what Joe didn't know was I had already called Nissan to inquire about the parts and they had to knowledge or parts in their inventory with the parts number Joe provided and stated the the work would have been cheaper if she had of gone thru Nissan directly for service. Once I started that Joe became even more angry because he was now dealing with someone who had some knowledge of cars and business. At this point I asked him for receipts for the parts he supposedly ordered as placed on her vehicle he stated he didn't need to provide those to me or her I then asked who was the manufacturer of the part he placed on her vehicle then he stated "I'm not giving you my vendor list" I told him I'm not asking him for that but only who manufacturer the part you put on the car (anyone who has work done to their car has the right to know what's being put on their car and who makes it) so now at this point Joe is becoming furious and jumps out of his seat and ask me if I want to get tough lol mind you I'm completely calm as a cucumber so I asked him why is he mad then he began cursing at me so I mention calling the Better Business Bureau then he became unreasonable and very rude telling me to call the f**king BBB the said get the f**k out of his shop or he was going to call the police I told him I'd wait because I had done nothing wrong do at this point he just kept threatening me and acting as if he wanted to get violent all because he knew they were ripping off an unsuspecting woman and didn't want to come clean. All I can tell anyone reading this is please BEWARE of this place and take your vehicle elsewhere this place is highly unprofessional and overpriced rude and unethical but if you dont believe me just read thru the past reviews. I'm normally not the one to write reviews but I just had to warn others about this place because I hate to see ppl get ripped off be crude ppl and I know once I leave this review the owner or whoever replying to my review will try to say something slick to discredit or deny or have what they think is the truth of the matter of what I've told you all but if you're a hard working person or have a heart like myself you'll see right thru them. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is, when I booked my appointment, the website allowed me to select Saturday with an appointment time. When I arrived at that time, I was told Saturdays are first come first serve. However, I was worked in, I received my vehicle back in a few hours. I did appreciate that the technician put the part that was replaced back in my vehicle in order to guarantee that the work was complete. I selected this place primarily because of the Yelp reviews. I had a basic oil change with synthetic oil on my VW recently and also asked they check the code on my check engine light. I drove directly home after the oil change and the next morning I had approx 2ft by 1ft pool of oil on my brand new driveway. My mother was visiting and attempted to influence me to go in there and not be very nice about it but that's not my style since I knew they'd be taking the car back. Went back the next day, informed them of what happened and not one. Single. Person. apologized for what happened. They indicated there was a leak in the seal. They did correct the problem but a simple "sorry" can really change the outcome of business. I'll be finding a new place the next time around. read more

As always spectacular!!! This is our go to place for our truck. Once again out did our expectations and got us back on the road. Wheel bearing went out and had our truck towed there and was there at opening to talk about what was going on. Called us back within an hour to tell us what was wrong and gave us an exact quote. Went to do a car inspection and they try to find anything to make a quick buck. They informed me back break light was out and I need to pay them 45.00 dollars to replace and pass. I told them no I have the bulbs and I went to replace bulb. Owner came out and basically said if we cant do it for you, then you cant do it in our parking lot. We have insurance!!! LOL. I informed him so do I. So i left across the street and replaced it. Drove back across and they took their sweet time an hour later to help me get my inspection. Will never recommend this place. Do not take your car to this garage. I was charged $118 today without repairs being done. I have a faulty wheel speed sensor that I knew was bad from the previous visit when my car was in their garage for a backing plate replaced. I also have a vibration in the front end that occurs without fail. I described exactly how to reproduce it and was told they could not feel it. I have doubts that they even took for a test drive. Beware if they mention diagnostic testing as it is a way to charge without making repairs as they hit me with a $95 electrical diagnostic testing and $23.75 suspension diagnosis. My car also had a torn boot on a ball joint which I wanted fixed as it will need repaired soon anyway. This was a given and could of been easily repaired. I dropped my car off at 8am, did not receive a follow up call until I called them at 3:30pm. Following day, I returned to discuss the charges without repairs and made no progress as they would accept fault without an offer to make things better. I will be exploring about placing them on the Fort Hood restricted establishment listing. read more

This is the worst mechanic place, i DROVE my car to them and had to TOW it back home!! i brought my car to mechanic because i was hearing sound in engine, after they did inspection they call me and said " to get car running with no problems it will cost $899.00" i asked " is my car going to work correctly, they replied yes... so i said ok i give you my permission to fix my car. Next day they call me again saying " we have done work worth of $899.00 but after we fixed that problem we found more issues with the car, if we dont fix those issues your car NOT going to run". I asked how much will it cost to fix that issue they said +499.00. I asked what if i dont fix that issue, they said your car will not run.... so i said do not do anything to the car ill come see the car myself. I went there they showed me few parts that were "broken" ( after i went home the hoses they showed me were CUT when they said they blew up from pressure) and a bag with as they said ordered parts. I got out the control and started using bad language talking bad about the car and not about the workers ( just to justify), after that they decided to cut the price and put to $412.00 +$70.00 towing... as the conclusion i brought my working car to them, they broke it trying to fix it, and i had to tow it back. Pls do not let them use their perks of scamming people. Oh and also when i came in they said oil change would cost 70$ on the phone they said it will cost $120.... prices go up quickly read more

I got my clutch, flywheel, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced and my transmission serviced at Phil's, great customer service I can't deny, but about a month later my car catches fire while driving, thankfully it was at the malls parking lot so I was able to run in and get a fire extinguisher as soon as possible, I called the shop, they picked up the car the next day, they told me that one of the clutch fluid lines was too close to the headers, it melted and it caught of fire, they repaired my car through warranty, so at this point is all good, I was upset this had happened but it could respect that they took care of me through warranty and all, but now I was gonna go on vacations, on my drive to El Paso while cruising on the highway the car starts jerking weirdly, so I pull over to the side and o surprise the car would not let me go into gear anymore, so I had to pay to get my car back in town, of course at this point I didn't wanna take my car back to Phil's since it was the second time something had gone wrong transmission wise after getting work done here, so I took the car to another shop, and ones they dropped the transaction and pulled it apart, there was only about 3 quarts of transmission fluid in it instead of the 12 quarts that it requires, which cause the transmission to overheat and finally break, I went through my papers from when it was serviced and yes the fluid had supposedly been changed at Phil's when I got everything else replaced, the transmission had zero signs of having a leak, it was bone dry on the outside, which only leaves one thing, they didn't put enough fluid when it got serviced, nobody had touched my car mechanically but Phil's before the transmission when bad, so I approached Phil's in look for a solution , because now I have a car that needs a new transmission, which they turned me away saying that they'd done the service without being able to explain how was it possible that they where zero signs of a leak and the transmission only had about 3 quarts of fluid instead of 12, so now I got no alternative but to file a complaint to the better businesses bureau and persue legal action, it's sad to see that this shop which has great customer service could stand by their mistake and lost a customer which had even brought them more customers, my advice is check all the work you get done at this shop, because I'm sure that like me, other people have had issues of this nature with Phil's. read more
