I really do enjoy coming here but I do have to mention something I notice continuously as I come in. I'm not one to usually speak up about this type of thing, everyone has their bad days, but it seems to me that Jade has more bad days than not. All of the other employees have been very friendly and kind but I feel like I'm almost bothering her with my service? She doesn't smile very often and seems to treat other coworkers with the same annoyance it seems like...hopefully this improves or changes because I really do enjoy coming here, and I always want to feel welcome. read more

Ive been to Philz in many locations but only my second time in Valencia. Ordered 2 mint mojitos and it was watered down, not sweet or creamy. Told the lady (Jas___) making the order that it wasnt sweet or creamy. She tried to fix it but made it worse which we ended up with a warm iced mojito which was watered down coffee. The place is local, which is nice, but the quality control here is not the same as other Philz. read more

If you're not new to a Philz, then it's mostly what you'd expect. This "local" coffee shop slings coffee with a few less frills but more attention to detail than their leading competitors. The employees clearly work hard to craft a perfect cup and are careful to ensure the final product is to your liking. Seating and space to stand comfortably while you wait for/enjoy your order is a little limited, but overall the atmosphere is a nice vibe. My short visit to their restroom ... much less so. I'd recommend diverting just a little more attention to keeping it tidy as layers of dust-covered urine and excrement along the visible surfaces of the toilet don't project the image of cleanliness I'd expect from a place serving food and drinks. read more

Terrible experience! Staff was rude. Coffee was expensive!! 45min wait for one cup and when asked for an update on my cup of black coffee I was told there were other orders in front of mine. I had tried the mint mojito coffee at another location and didn't understand it. I don't like sweet coffee but felt pressured to get it sweet ... I figured Philz was only for people who liked sweet coffee. When this store opened in Valencia, I decided to give it another shot. I got the mission cold brew with just oat milk. I'm disappointed they don't have soy milk, but the coffee was incredible. So good. I ordered in the app around 11:45, asking that it be ready at 12:45. This is the second and the last time that I am waking out of the line. There are 4 people behind the counter doing I don't know what. None of them made eye contact, said hi or acknowledged the 3 people in line while we stood there for at least 10 minutes. There were a few people waiting for their drinks as I walked in so doing the math, waiting 30 minutes for non espresso coffee drinks is simply ridiculous. I'm so glad to finally see Philz open a location here in Santa Clarita Valley, a welcome change of pace from the oversaturation of Starbucks locations. As they've just opened, the place has been understandably busy but I felt welcomed and well-served. I'm normally a black coffee drinker but really enjoyed the Philtered Soul, sweet and nutty but not overly so. And when the days warm up, you've got to try the iced mint mojito, one of their signature drinks. read more

My family and I have gone here a few times now since they opened. The coffee is good, but man...the wait for two cups of coffee is crazy. Each time we think it was just a bad day for them, but it seems to be the norm that it takes 25 minutes or more to get your drinks. I keep giving the place another chance because I do enjoy their coffee, but I'm not up for waiting that long for coffee. Hopefully they can figure this issue out, because based off of other reviews, this seems to be a big problem. read more

So happy to have Philz coffee in our town now. I no longer have to drive to Studio City or Glendale. I always purchased my coffee beans I use at home from Philz. One downside about my first experience there is that my usual choice of coffee was lacking the butteriness I usually feel on my lips from the coffees I've had before, at the other locations. But that won't hold me back I'll still go back. It's a work in progress with a new location and new employees. Wait times were long, yes, but who's to blame it's hands down better than Starbucks! I'm not going to lie a 30 minute wait for coffee sounds crazy. Plus all the seats were taken and I went snowboarding yesterday so standing and waiting was actually excruciating on my limbs. I got my coffee and thought to myself "there's no way this was worth a 30 minute wait". Then I sipped it and holy hell it was worth the wait. I got the medium iced honey haze and it was actually the best coffee I've ever had in my life. I hope the wait time goes down as they hire more people because I'd like to come here more often without having to worry about being stuck for too long. I was ordering and asked for a hot mint mojito and the girl taking my order said are you sure we don't recommend it that way. I said yes as that is how i personally like it. She double checked with me that I wanted it hot and took down my order. They then made me an iced mint mojito and I said sorry I ordered this hot, and the second lady who made my coffee looks at me and goes oh yeah well we don't usually recommend it that way so I made an iced one. I asked her to kindly remake it as I ordered it. It took them 20 minutes for a small coffee because it wasn't made how I had requested. As I was leaving the store with my hot coffee the workers proceeded to openly and loudly enough remark how weird and gross it was that I asked for the mint mojito hot instead of how you recommend it. My bf loves it, be he's also the black coffee type. Personally it was so bitter, I couldn't stomach it. I ordered the chai and it was the worst chai I've ever had. If ur more of a chai tea latte type, like I am, this may not be for u. The service was amazing though and I really loved the baristas, they were so kind and funny. read more

Update: After the business owner left me a message I decided to give them another chance, but still nothing has changed still drinking literally creamer with water no caffeine in there they load up their cups with so much ice and it just leaves zero room for any coffee and I get a large so that's saying a lot. 5 stars for friendliness and effort. The staff is great! but be warned you will not receive the same drink every time. Yesterday I ordered the ginger snap sweet and creamy and it was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had in my life. Come back today and it's just ok. I asked them to add more sugar and cream thinking maybe that would help and it did a bit but still just ok and not quite worth the $7 I paid. We'll see how the next order is but hopefully they can all get on the same page and understand sweet and creamy means..well sweet and creamy. The blueberry muffin is also Super delicious! read more

I've since come back several times and, although the wait time is still too long, I now understand why. They have many individual serving stations behind the counter and each cup of coffee is made to order, unlike other companies where someone just pours from a huge machine of already brewed coffee. So, now I just order from the mobile app, wait until I'm notified it's ready, and then walk right in and it's waiting for me piping hot on the counter. This is an acceptable compromise for me for what has turned out to be a great flavor of coffee (Jacob's Wonderbar). read more

There is an average for 30 minutes plus for coffee everyday! I would not recommend if you have anywhere to be and want to grab a coffee on the way. Staff is off putting, if you ask about your order they seem super annoyed. Drinks are hit or miss sometimes good and sometimes horrible. read more

The drinks today were good. The service was frustratingly slow though, including what had to be the single dumbest service related thing I've ever encountered. While waiting over 20 minutes for my drinks, I noticed a long line of drinks forming on the counter for in-store orders, which I assumed was a large order. It turns out the person making drinks was lining up several completed orders before calling anyone's names, while everyone was standing there waiting. Then she finally called out 4 names at the same time. My drinks were sitting on the counter several minutes before she called me. Everyone seemed frustrated. In addition to that, it seems like mobile orders took priority over people who were in the store. I saw a ton of mobile orders being made, whereas people in the store seemed to be waiting a long time. IMO, people in the store should get priority over mobile orders. That said, the quality was good and I hope the store can improve. read more

The idea of this place is cute, however, I am not joking when I say this, I waited 45 minutes for one cup of coffee, and upon receiving my coffee it was the worst coffee I have ever tasted even worse than a gas station. Overhyped, low quality, awful service considering I bought a $60 gift card AND 20% tipped them. We waited a few minutes which is great since last time we went it was a huge line. However, we ordered the mint mojito and it tasted awful. The drink was watery and the ice was melted, I was severely disappointed since it was their signature drink. It wasn't cold and was lukewarm. Moreover, the girls who did my drink did not even call my name. I want to give this place another chance and order a simple vanilla latte but given the signature mint mojito tasted awful, we were extremely disappointed considering we were excited to try and heard great things about it. read more

They have sooo many options and different customizations which is a little overwhelming but the workers are super friendly and accommodating to your coffee needs. They even let you try it before leaving to make sure it's to your liking. The only thing is that it's cashless. If I have cash in my wallet it's considered free coffee bc it's not on my bank statement. But it's okay, this place is worth it! read more
