Oh my goodness! What a wonderful place we found near Bass Pro Shop!!! As soon as we got inside, we were greeted by a gentleman who had the brightest smile on his face! We ordered steak pho, plain beef pho, pork sub and side order of chicken egg rolls. The portions were nice and most of all, the flavor was amazing. Loved the hot broth with chewy noodles and the marinated pork sub had smoky, well marinated and melt in your mouth texture! Overall, we will definitely be going back to this place. The meat was tender but it was a little sweet. The rice plates were different since it came with steamed brocoli and other vegetables. I've never had it this way at a vietnamese restaurant. It seemed to cater to more of the American palate. The waitress at the front could be friendlier and more welcoming of us. My son waited in line for 15minuted to order a boba as a lady just stood in line in front of him to order and then waited for a table to leave. There were quite a few people sitting in the restaurant enjoying their lunches, which drew me in. I decided to order the chicken Pho with beef broth. My food came out in about 1 minute, no kidding it was fast! I received my bowl of Pho, along with a tray of scallions, bean sprouts, jalapeño and a few other veggies. I dumped my veggies in and gave it a try. The Pho was decent, but I do wish it had a bit more flavor to it. I added quite a bit of sriracha in, which definitely elevated the flavor. They also serve Thai Tea at this restaurant which is one of my favorites. I went on Yelp to look for a place to eat, and not wanting to go to a food court, found this Pho restaurant nearby, Pho 16 Express. They had very good ratings, and the food pics looked great! We were at the mall nearby, so it only took us about 2 minutes to drive there. The parking stalls directly across the restaurant are 30 minutes, only parking, but I could see the car from the seating area. We walked in and were kindly greeted by the young lady at the counter. The restaurant is small, but they have enough seating. I glanced at the menu and saw my favorite Pho, Bun Bo Hue, so I knew what I wanted. We also ordered Chicken Pho, an order of chicken wings, summer rolls, and a lychee boba drink. Yes, we were a little hungry! The service here is great, and the young lady at the register was super nice. She brought us our drink, along with 2 cups of ice water, the food followed shortly after. We just happened to drive by this place on our way to the hotel. We ordered the steak and brisket pho and summer rolls and they were both fresh and delicious. The broth had a great depth of flavor and the rolls were freshly made(even though we came later in the evening). My family and I are out of towners here for a couple of nights before heading out on a cruise. My 10yo was under the weather, so we yelped and found this Pho location to have better reviews than most. It's like a to-go Pho restaurant and not the typical Pho restaurant in CA. I was lost looking at the menu as it was all in English. I am used to reading the menu in Vietnamese. Took some time to process what Pho I wanted. We ordered 2 P9 and 1 P5. There are about a dozen tables for you to sit at. Tables are for 2 or 4 customers, but you can easily push them together for larger parties. There are 3-4 ppl high stool tables. The food, veggie plate, and water all came out within 10 minutes. It's a decent size bowl with a good portion of noodles and meat. There is a good amount of veggies to add to your Pho as well. The broth is a little sweet for us, but it can be fixed with some lime juice, though I felt pretty sleepy after. I'm not sure if it's too much MSG or sugar. Overall, it was not bad but not great. It was fulfilling to meet our craving. The staff is really nice and friendly. She greeted us and offered to give us a paper menu when we were sitting down reading the menu posted trom above. She also gave us an extra bowl w/o us asking for one, but my 7yo son was not eating, so we didn't order for him nor needed the bowl. It is very much appreciated, though. read more

Coming from the other Orange County (the one in California), I wasn't sure I would find a great pho place here when we moved. We drove past this place when we were going to the movies and we made a mental note to come try it because whenever there is a number in the name, it's likely legit. And we were not disappointed! The restaurant is small but it wasn't too busy when we were there. The person who took our order was really nice. Pho was very good - the only thing was that the broth was a little sweet.
